For some reason—though I don’t know why—Sirius is my favorite character. I both love and hate this because, since he is dead in canon, a lot of fanfics like to either keep him alive or kill him off.
In WCBP, he has a really nice relationship with Harry and even a lovely familial bond with Narcissa and Draco(tagging as spoiler just in case). Which makes me love him even more.

I have been seeing a lot of things recently saying "people only care about what you can do for them and not you as a person" or something along those lines.
I understand the idea that you want someone to like you for you, but isn't the point of friendships and relationships to be there for one another? To help and enhance life? Is it wrong of me to think that the only friendships/relationships I want provide me with something?
Regardless of if I liked someone's personality, I wouldn't consider them a good friend or boyfriend if they weren't actively doing things to help me, or make my life better. That's one reason I rarely dated. Why would I want to include someone in my life if they weren't there to make it better? I would rather be alone and take care of myself.
I wouldn't consider myself a good friend if I wasn't helping or providing for others. In fact, I would say that is part of who I am as a person. So why is this idea that we are friends with people for what they do for us so bad? I would consider it a compliment if someone said they love that I do so much for them, that I can be an enhancer in their life. AITAH? Am I seeing this in a different perspective than it's meant to portray?
Also, just to keep things clear, there is a difference between being friends and using someone. It's different if it isn't mutual. But most of the time you are both "using" each other for what you can do for each other, it shouldn't be just one person mooching off of another.

Traje ondas con un vato regio encantador y 2-2 de guapillo, todo iba bastante bien, era notorio que nos gustábamos bastante aunque vivimos bastante lejos uno de otro (él en MTY y yo en CDMX), en fin. Pasadas algunas semanas de textear a diario y demás, vino a verme a CDMX y fue diferente a otras veces que nos habíamos visto antes (como amigos que no se traían ondas), esta vez estuvo súper fijado de todoooooo, que si traigo una Macbook Pro, que si tengo un coche híbrido con placas ecológicas, que si mi teléfono es tal modelo de iPhone con triple cámara, que si uso sandalias Birkenstocks, que qué fresa y demás. Luego estuvo diciéndome cosas random como "¿tú tienes ahorros? qué chido ha de ser eso, me gustaría tener ahorros" y cosas similares.
Cuando nos llegamos a ver solo como compas, realmente no se fijó ni comentó ninguna de esas cosas, pero cuando nos vimos después de textear esas varias semanas con onda sexo-afectiva y volvió a verme, todas esas cosas sí le importaron.
Poco después me dijo que lo disculpará, pero que aunque le gustaba y andaría conmigo, no sería en una relación a distancia, por muchas cosas (dinero, trabajo, etc, no podríamos vernos más que contadas veces al año) y aunque pedí más explicacione, no quiso decirme más. Después de eso intentó que nos siguiéramos hablando ya solo como compas, pero yo me negué y corté toda comunicación.
Hace poco me escribió para avisarme que viene pronto a CDMX, que reflexionó y que le gustaría verme para explicarme lo qué paso el año pasado.
¿Alguna lectura de la situación que me puedan dar? ¿Para los regios es demasiado malo que una chica que les guste gane mucho más que ellos? ¿Realmente una relación a distancia es tan mala para algunas personas?
Puse pocos detalles para intentar acotar lo más posible, pero lo único que quisiera apuntar como contexto es que a mí no me había gustado nadie desde hace 7 años (en esos 7 salí 5 de ellos con la persona que antes me gustaba), y que, aunque, sabía que le atraía a este vato por como me trataba, me veía (en persona), me escribía y me lo dijera abiertamente ("me gustas y andaría contigo, pero no a distancia", también es cierto que siempre me ha parecido una persona que busca una relación donde sea, cuando éramos compas me contaba que se la pasaba invitando chicas a salir aunque no le gustaran del todo (o sea, que solo le parecían atractivas/interesantes, pero que no le gustaban abiertamente), me confundió mucho como manejo las cosas.

Unfortunately I have been medically denied from Samoa, but have been offered alternatives in the Philippines, Madagascar or Senegal and have three days to respond. Philippines and Senegal are in the environment sector while Madagascar is agriculture. My degree is in Forestry and Natural Resource Conservation and I think I would be an effective volunteer in all three countries. I would love to hear from some volunteers who have served in these countries or anyone with input really!

I haven't even watched Journeys so this is what im asking, im going to be honest im the type of person who plays and watches and looks at stuff at my own pace. I don't like to watch or look at everything constantly for many reasons, i don't even have a switch and i only have a 2DS with UM my Fav Pokemon Game. The only thing i know about Horizons is no more Ash, but i only watched a few videos of Fuecoco (Who is one of my favorite Pokemon, yes i might have not played it but i experienced Fuecoco other ways) and look at some other things.
Other than that, is this series even good because I've heard Journeys was just a mess but one that was good in its own way and it could have been worse if it weren't for stuff like Dragonite and so much more (Im sorry Dragonite is my number one Fav). So should i even watch this?
