I have a urogyn appointment tomorrow. Normally I am relatively groomed and shave my legs like once or twice a week (depending on the season). However, my boyfriend left for college and I'm going for a personal best of not shaving bc it makes me comfortable (and honestly, anything to help against this cold weather lol).
I said something to my mom and she said that the doctor is most likely going to judge me, though not to my face, about my unshaved legs and/or netherregions and now I feel pressured to shave to some degree. Is the doctor going to judge me if I show up and she performs a pelvic exam and I happen to be clean but a bit hairy?

I was lucky enough to score this original set of Brazilian rosewood dining chairs the other day! All original upholstery (that I deep cleaned) and what I believe to be it’s original finish even. Some nicks and scratches here and there but they’re in mighty fine shape given their age and I plan to leave them as is. Some help identifying would be awesome! There are no labels/stamps anywhere to be found. Definitely danish, just not sure which company.

I have this mature maple tree located in Maryland USA. The base of the trunk is about 16in diameter. I was told by a tree company that it is dying due to the peeling bark and the black fungus. I would like to know if this is really cause for concern or not, because the tree blossoms perfectly in spring. I've attached pictures of the area that is peeled, and the black looking area.
For extra background, I've lived in this property for about 4 years and the peeling and cracked bark has always been like that since I moved here. The concern is that if it os truly dying as the tree company said, it does slightly lean towards the house.
So is this normal for maple trees? Or should I consider taking it down?

I'll preface this by saying I don't remember if this is a published book or a fanfiction I'm trying to remember, all I can really recall is this scene.
Basically the male character was kidnapped/tortured/hurt and somehow had hallucinations that his family/friends weren't there. They do eventually rescue him, but obviously he's traumatized. They say something to him along the lines of how they care about him or love him and he snaps thinking he's still kidnapped because the "real versions of them" would never say that. He's crouching down trying to remember and can't and they try to call him down. He eventually does and keeps saying I'm sorry I'm sorry afterwards.
I think the book kept switching between this characters POV and that of his team/group trying to find him. It wasn't a horror genre, definitely not nonfiction.
The closest I've heard is Peeta from the Hunger Games, but I don't think that's the scene I'm talking about. Someone also told me thats the Truman Show, but I've never seen/read it so that's not what I'm thinking of. I know it's not a lot to go on and is probably something found in a lot of stories.

I was in the Army National Guard for six years, plus two years in the IRR, which ends this March. The Reserves is offering me a trial for 25D for eight months. The career counselor said it's an E-7 slot, but I can fill it as an E-5. It would be at an HQ unit under a sustainment brigade in NC.
For some background, l've been working in IT Support for the past three years, Bachelors in IT, and have my Security+.
Anyone here with experience in 25D in the Reserves?What kind of work do you actually do during drill weekends and AT? Do they really utilize their cyber guys, or is it mostly admin work?
Also, would the NC National Guard be a better for getting real cyber experience? Just trying to sure l end up somewhere that actually develops these skills.

So... many years ago, probably over a decade ago, I went to a ren fair, sadly the only time I've been to one, and I got two beautiful walking sticks. One was a shiny swirly one with a knot at the top that looks like a dragon roosting.
The other was a Burned and Dyed model(?) from a company called Staffs by Gust. They also made home defense clubs and I had planned on buying one the following year, but by then I wasn't friends with the group I went with anymore. I've tried googling them multiple times over the years and have found almost nothing. Just an old photo of a stall, 2 listings on ebay, and one reddit post looking to repair one of their staffs.
It's a long shot but would anyone know anything about this company?

I recently picked up the ts020 to replace my Nissan R92CP because I couldn't stand the sound of that car grinding sardegna and le man's anymore. I'm happy with the sound upgrade and I prefer the handling but I cannot get the Toyota around the track as fast as the Nissan. I'm a consistent ~2 seconds behind per lap at sardegna and I have to keep it on fuel map 4/5 to make it a one stop race.
