I will admit, I was one of those people who took the risk and bought a 4090 a couple months before the rumored 5000 series launch. My old computer was completely broken causing me to get extremely behind on work, + I really wanted a PC to play games on during Thanksgiving and Winter break. In October, I found a 4090 on sale for $1800 and just said fuck it and bought it. At first, I deeply regretted it, with tons of FOMO, but the performance was so good that I completely forgot about the 5000 series even launching. Now after the 5000 series released and the huge drama around it, and it basically being a paper launch WITH incoming tariffs (for Americans) potentially making it even more expensive, I’m starting to be extremely glad with my decision of taking a risk and buying a 4090. Plus, the microcenter near me (Tustin) has so many people that it just isn’t worth the competition. I already dealt with the 9800X3D being constantly out of stock, and I really don’t wanna deal with it again.
If you bought a 4000 series GPU in the past couple of months, do you regret it?

I've received threats, hate, and many other unpleasant messages from people around this sub.

Many years ago, a member of my family, who I will not name, and who had been close to me for many years, became suddenly obsessed with UFOs.
His obsession was so far fetched, that he eventually lost everything he had worked for so hard in his life.

My childhood was SHIT because of that. UFO bullshit became alcoholic nightmare. My parents were arguing every day and every night.
And guess what, there was no evidence then, and there is no evidence now.
I will continue to battle against the grifters and the snake oil salesmen for the rest of my life.
You know what can completely convince me that I'm wrong? Actual hard evidence from the alleged thousands of government employees from hundreds of countries across the world who are allegedly in on the cOnSpIrACy. Wikileaks and many other sites enable users to be completely anonymous and takes only 5 minutes to upload material. There are servers in China, Russia, Burkina Faso, Colombia, etc...

2015 Tundra 108,000 miles
So I bought this truck in August of 24 with 96k on it. I drive a lot for work but mostly highway miles. I am, by no means, an aggressive driver.
I replaced the pads and rotors all around the truck at about 100k. After a couple thousand miles I was getting a pulsing in the truck while under braking. Took it to a shop and they said it was bad calipers, which I thought was going to be the issue because they looked pretty terrible. They did that and resurfaced the rotors.
A couple thousand miles after that and I was getting a shaking in the steering wheel under braking. Took it back to the shop and they said that they should have just replaced the front rotors instead of machining so they replaced with no charge for labor.
A few thousand miles later and I’m getting a shaking in the truck under braking again. This time in the whole vehicle and not just the steering wheel. It was also accompanied by a squeak, sounded like from the rear. I bring it back to the shop and they say that the front and back rotors need to be replaced this time, only charging me for the rear due to warranty.
I have added a 2” lift in the front and rear with Bilstein 6112s and 5160s with a AAL.
If it happens again I’m going to a different mechanic. What could be causing this issue?

I'm looking for fun builds. Good use of underused origins, or unique playstyle. I took a long break because I was tired of either steamrolling in conquest, or focusing tech and steamrolling later.
I'm interested in the machine cult origin, or the toxic knights. I have yet to mess with the new origins.
My favorite build is a single planet driven exterminator with the mechanogenisis ascension perk. Loved having a fleet of various space creatures. However, it snowballs so hard that it becomes a chore to play after the first 100 years.

Being straight up I think LAG beats them. They went game 5 vs LAG last time. And this time LAG also has the crowd on their side. I think the script is too strong to say otherwise. And knowing Shotzzy and how he is I wouldn't be surprised if they make another change. I think we will see something similar to what happened with Illey Major 2.
