I'm one of the very lucky Altadena residents who did not lose everything in the fire.
That said, I stored a bunch of personal property at a friend's house -- he was not lucky. His whole place is just ashes, including the items I stored there.
My AAA renters policy (Coverage C) excludes "Property rented, leased or held for rental or lease to others away from the insured premises.”
But that doesn't describe the items that were off-site, in the house they burned.
Have any renters successfully been reimbursed for property lost in this situation? I'm unhappy that the policy does not clarify this. My Desk Adjuster is "checking with management about this" which does not give me much hope

So I have this coworker I work with. She’s 4 years younger than me (I’m 20). I feel like she doesn’t like me at all. Idk why, because I don’t talk to her. Like we don’t talk. I had a close work bestie come up to me and spoke to me “she told me she don’t like you, and idk why, she didn’t give a reason” like my work bestie and I are good friends and she even looked confused on telling me cuz we both don’t know why she don’t like me. I just breathe and she’s always roller her eyes at me, always being snippy with me and telling me how to do my job when I have been here way longer the she has (she’s new, and she’s 16). Always telling me how I’m doing my job wrong and Nic picky like she’s the manager when she’s not. When I come up to buy something, she walks away from the register and tells someone to take me instead (she does that to customers too!) even my other coworkers noticed her behaviour towards me, and they think it’s odd as well. I hope I’m not venting too much, I just want opinions 🥲 if you want more of the story just ask, but yeh idk bro 🤣

2025.01.30 23:41 ultraboomkin Car has 0 battery after switching engine off
Hi. I started up my 350Z today for the first time in 4 months. Of course the battery was flat, so I jump started it. I then drove it 20 minutes and once I turned it off, there was no battery power at all. No ignition. Jumped it again and drove it a while, again when stopped I got no battery power. Only noticed it because the window didn’t adjust when I shut the door after exiting the car.
I had no alternator or battery warning lights. The car has a battery gauge which was on 14V while driving. When I was driving it, all the 12V instruments flashed once or twice, as if it lost all power briefly. I did notice that the negative terminal was quite loose and could easily be lifted off the battery.
Could this issue be caused by a loose battery connection? Or is there gonna be another issue like alternator? If the battery is loose then I understand why the power cut out briefly while driving; but I don’t see why the alternator wouldn’t have at least put in some voltage, enough to at least turn the ignition on.
