Hi all, I’m new to this sub but I wanted to share an experience I had today. For background, I’m a special education instructional assistant. I was a teacher before and have a degree/ license. My background makes me feel as though I’m an equal to any teacher I work with. Because of that, I think it’s okay to respectfully advocate for my students. Today, my students were working on reading and math progress monitoring. During this time, a group of IA’s and a teache case manager were talking for several minutes around my students who were trying to work. I noticed their inability to focus for almost 2, 25 minute sessions. I finally stepped in, respectful as I could be, if the group could take their talking into the other sped classroom (this teachers own classroom). Not only was the group talking loudly, they were also discussing students by name. I was immediately met with hostility, the teacher interrupting me to tell me, “can I finish what I was saying?” When I tried to rephrase my question, they told me, “the more you talk, the more time you’re wasting. Can I just say what I needed to say?” I told them that they didn’t need to be rude but they continued to ignore me. The other teacher interrupting the room was sitting at their desk laughing. When they left the room, I told the coworkers surrounding them, “That was completely out of line.” They backed him stating that it was just a homeroom situation and that everyone was talking. I ended up taking the rest of the day off, something I’ve never done before. I felt completely degraded and disrespected. I’ve seen this teacher interrupted multiple times because they talk out of turn and ramble for several minutes longer than they should. My question: I don’t want to file a formal complaint without talking to this teacher. But, would it be completely out of line to document this interaction with an admin? I looked up my the policies in my district and this interaction would 100% be considered unprofessional and hostile.
TLDR; teacher yelled at me and shut me down when politely asked to take group conversation out of student space.

In a place without light they stare at me, never blinking, only moving to observe what I observe in this prison built just for me.
A hammer rings in the distance, sparks on an anvil allow me to see my frame in the the reflection that contains my eyes.
In the spark light I see myself, emaciated and withered. The tile floors of infinty stretch away from we to the infinity they are chasing but will never find.
The mirror is tall. My eyes in the mirror look down on me from their height.
The sparks are gone, too quickly. The ring of the hammer hangs in the air.
When next will I see myself? Maybe the next time will be never.
The hammer rings and sparks fly. I wave my arms and pump my legs. My mouth falls open but I can't speak.
Long ago I dried up. My tongue is but a withered piece of leather trapped behind my too long teeth which are accentuated by my lack of gums.
From on high I see the marionette that I am dancing a sickly jig.
I don't deserve this.

You can't go after anyone that worked with or knew him, especially in the past. I'm surprised nobody has gone after mase yet lol. DJ premier himself worked with puffy, are you gonna try and take him down? No. Yes, what he did is very bad, but his musical influence and legacy shouldn't be tarnished. I heard some people stop listening to his music, as if everyone in that studio was involved. But they don't stop listening to biggie or mase or DJ premier do they?

I’m just a regular Australian dude. I spend my weekends playing sport (tennis lately), going to the gym, grabbing a bite to eat with friends, singing way too loudly to the Backstreet Boys in the car, sleeping in and dreading Monday mornings. Oh and here’s me.

I don't have the money to go to a vet, and I'm about to have to leave him behind with people I know won't look into anything to help him.
I was wondering if anybody had advice on how to help the cat in my house, he has the symptoms of a uti and is an older boy. He can no longer pee and he's been making sad meows and a chittering noise.
I'm really tore up about it but I can't even afford the fee to be seen at the places that picked up my call.

Hi guys! Hope everyone is feeling alright today. I’m 20F and seeing my rheumatologist in a few weeks, but I’m wondering if this is someone I should discuss with maybe my GP or neurologist instead. I have always tired very quickly, woken up feeling unrefreshed, and taken much longer to recover after physical/mental exertion than the people around me. I was diagnosed with fibro by my rheum last year, and chronic migraine about 5 years ago. In the past 6 months or so I’ve been focusing on stretching to improve my flexibility and strength of which I’m FINALLY starting to see a little bit of progress! I walk every day with my border collie on a little hiking trail. It’s not super steep or super long, it only takes about 20 mins. I’ve been doing this routine for over 3 months now, and I only feel like I’m getting worse at everything? If I’m walking the same trail every day, you would think each time it would become a bit easier or slowly you would start to improve, but I feel like my legs are so much heavier so much quicker. It’s not out of the ordinary for me to feel fatigue like this, but I feel like the reverse progress has been very consistent and linear over the few months. I wonder if my stretching is doing more harm than good, but I’ve been super nitpicky with my physio about ensuring I’m doing each exercise correctly. I am used to making NO PROGRESS - I was stretching for months with no signs of improvement - but with my fibromyalgia symptoms controlled right now, it feels a bit weird for my fatigue to be WORSENING rather than staying at a consistent level. At first I felt it may be because the stretching is allowing me to use and strengthen different muscles I wasn’t used to using, but then wouldn’t I start to get strongebetter after some time? Not much else has changed in my life to cause me to fatigue more quickly than before, and I wouldn’t say I’ve had an increase in any other symptoms apart from leg-related pain (bad circulation, knee pain since starting stretching, pain alongside my shins since starting stretching)
Anyway, sorry for the long post. Does this seem like something I should discuss with my rheumatologist who diagnosed me with fibro, or does it seem more like something else to you guys?
