2025.01.31 04:12 Delicious-Mud-6640 undetectable AI keeps telling me my SOP is 100% AI, when I've gone through and redone it by hand several times
I'm currently finishing up writing my SOP/Personal statement for a PhD program that I am applying to. It is only supposed to be 500 words and so after writing the whole thing and having it end up around 520 works I, an AI noob, thought hmmm maybe this is a good use case for ChatGPT. Lets get that sucker down to 500.
I understand big mistake. I immediately got nervous and decided to run my new ai reviewed essay through the undetectableAI software and it registered it was 100% AI. Yikes,
I proceeded to go line by line and make sure that everything hand been retyped/worded by my fingertips and brain and then resubmitted it to the software. Still 100% AI.
At that point I just tried typing a 100% new sentence from my brain into the thing and still...
This has lead me to two equally disturbing thoughts.
1.) That my writing is apparently so drab that it can't be differentiated from a AI
2.) That whoever reviews my now newly re-thought SOP is still going to run it through an AI detector, see it flagged, and then throw my whole application in the garbage.
I tried running my personal text through the AI humanizer (loll, but also crying) because I'm freaking out and it sounded even worse.
Am I freaking out for nothing? If not, what should i do?

I know this has been asked many times, but I was looking for some input for my specific situation.
I currently am rocking a 2015 MacBook Air. 2 years ago I got a GoPro 11 with intentions to create 4k family videos to capture our kids growing up over the years. I learned right away that my 2015 Air couldnt anything with the GoPro videos and I've been stuck with saving the videos on the cloud until I buy something I can use.
The most intense use the computer will see is the personal video editing. Outside of that, just general web use.
I feel the MacBook Air M3 16GB/512GB would suffice for our needs and hopefully get another 10 years out of it. But with my lack of experience and actually testing it out with the 4k editing, I can't say for sure. Should I upgrade to 24GB memory? Or go straight to the base Pro model with 16GB memory (although my wife loves how light the air is)
Also, since I've waited this long, I'm open to waiting for the MacBook Air M4 as well.
Being a once in a decade purchase for us, I don't want to mess this decision up!

First reddit post so apologies if it’s confusing or long.
I found out I was muted by my partner on everything recently ( messages , instagram , discord , steam , WhatsApp , ect) which upset me a bit and I confronted him and he said he would unmute me , I feel like he secretly hasn’t because he still takes hours to reply even though he is constantly on his phone checking messages and group chats or just scrolling reels . When he is with me he always responds to his friends immediately even if they’ve only sent a reel or something . It’s hurt me quite a bit as I’m the only person muted on anything at all and I feel stressed and sad when I can see he is active but ignoring me , I try to support him with his troubles and offer advice but he just gives disgusted looks ( for example he was worried that if he couldn’t get back in to uni it would give his mum anxiety (fair enough ) , I said you shouldn’t avoid or only do things because you want others to be happy because it’s not fair on yourself and can make you unhappy and as a person with anxiety myself I know it’s not up to others to make me feel better like sure it helps but it’s up to me to help and support myself and he just gave me a disgusted look and I felt really defeated and like I said something awful . I don’t get much support from him with my life and he barely says anything nice like I love you or you’re pretty or anything I always have to initiate first , it’s really strange to me because when we see each other he can do all of that and be so sweet but when he’s back home it’s so different . Ive thought about muting him myself so I’m not constantly wondering how he is or what he’s up to even if he’s just at home on his phone because I feel like I’m annoying to him and he doesn’t want me around , I don’t want to keep brining it up and making him think I don’t trust him and I don’t want to start a fight by bringing it up but I’m not sure what I can do , any advice ?
Ps. It’s his first relationship and I’ve been in quite a few which have been bad and given me anxiety and other stresses so I don’t want to make this a bad experience for him because of my issues .

I have no idea if this is the right place to post this but I need help. The last couple of weeks, I have been having incredibly vivid and memorable dreams. I’ve always been good at recall but recently I’ve been able to remember 2-3 seperate dreams in detail a night. All of which have just been normal for me, no nightmares or anything.
So I started typing them into chatgpt as an experiment and told it to interpret them, and what emotions I might be processing behind them. Anyway, it’s been super interesting and mostly very accurate. But at the same time, putting so much effort into journalling has heightened my recall even more so.
Today as I was napping, I had the most terrifying dream experience of my life. I can type the whole thing out into the comments if anyone is interested but the essential part is that I was dreaming, and had a nightmare within the dream. So I had the nightmare (where a literal evil entity held me still while pinching me and spoke to me) and then I woke up, but it turns out I had “woken up” into another dream. I couldn’t remember what the entity actually said, I was just feeling incredibly scared. I was now in the movie theatre with my family feeling highly distressed when the screen changed and it LITERALLY REPLAYED MY NIGHTMARE back to me and to everyone. So I had some sort of panic attack and felt like I was crazy. Then I actually woke up.
Would love some thoughts on this, maybe I need to stop analysing so much? It felt like a warning.

So when i put my LO to bed at 7 pm i usually sneak away until i go to bed around 9:30pm. lately when i leave he wakes up every 10 min and then i have to lay with him again. it’s a repeating cycle until i go to bed. When we sleep he has to be cuddled 24/7 in order to sleep. How do i stop these things from happening??
