I know SRIs and RMP are the go-to for reporting about professors honestly - but there are some professors in the Business school that I can't believe are teaching (more like not teaching though), and sometimes I'm not sure RMP isn't set up with fake reviews because they feel totally off. I'm sure others have had similar experiences - is there any use in speaking to the head of the dpt. or someone else?

So I’m trying to get into painting and it’s been going pretty well until I got to painting today and I could make the colors look right they kind of look like a kids painting now I’ve been drawing since I was 7 (15 now) but I only started painting about 2 weeks ago and since I have past art experience most of my art has been looking good and I chose easy stuff to pain either way. but today I was trying to paint a boot and a ww2 style gun next to eachother and the sketch looked amazing but when it came to the paint it didn’t turn out well at all the colors where so bright and kind of mixed up so I painted over it with black and tomorrow I’m gonna try again. But I was wondering what is it called when you use a different color to make it look like the color you want? I know it sounds confusing I’m not sure how to explain but for example say your drawing trees and you use green but instead of brown for the bark you use a orange/dark red type color and it gives the illusion of brown and makes it look more realistic? What is that called? Also any other general tips/advice would also be greatly appreciated

2025.01.31 04:27 lsc2222 Always Been Curious About Ranma & China
I don't know if this has been covered or not before, but the more I think about it the more I wanted to put this out there and see what everyone else thought.
At the beginning of the story, not long after Ranma and Genma arrive at the Tendo residence Ranma states his intent to return to China so he can find a way to cure his curse (it's right after his initial fight with Akane).
After that there's many, many instances over the course of the story where Ranma tries to find a gimmick, or a Spring of Drowned Man, or a free trip back to China to get said cure, and while the manga never showed HOW they initially got to China the OG anime's first flashback showed us that Genma and Ranma swam to China.
So I've always been curious; why didn't Ranma and Genma just swim back over there? They'd already been to the springs once so they should know how to get back, and swimming is free so that would've also solved the cost issue as well so...what stopped them?
I understand that if that had happened, then there would've been no Ranma 1/2 story (lol), but it seems so strange - especially for Ranma who's so dead-set on getting rid of his curse - that he didn't consider swimming back.
I also get that Genma was the one who initially prevented Ranma from going back, but if you substitute a swim back to China in place of, say, Ranma and Ryoga trying to find the Swim of Drowned Man under the Furinkan girl's locker room then Ranma could've solved his problem pretty quickly instead of looking for alternative means.
Overall I guess what is interesting is that the story presents going back to China, or finding a Spring of Drowned Man as a huge, complex undertaking which is why those efforts always fail, but the reality seems to be that Ranma was always in control of getting his cure, all he had to do was just swim back.
What're your thoughts on this? Just curious if anyone else had thought about this before.

We are both 14. I remember the plot of the movie and I don't remember any bad or sexual moments. It just came up in normal conversation. A few days later, she tells me she's doing this.
Movie Night is an important event for her family, they rarely spend time like this as a family. They get ready hours before the movie starts. I did not read her message in time. There's no way I'm able to speak to her until after the movie has ended.
Am I cooked?

Okay. One thing I developed is this attitude na kapag natawag saken yung mga hindi ko close na walang pasabi nasisira talaga araw ko. I think it's common courtesy naman na if hindi mo close yung tao you should text something like "pwede tumawag? Kasi may sasabihin ako regarding this". I think this should even extend to those who we really know.

When your table value is, let's say 2.16, but the most accurate point your graph can plot is 2.1 or 2.2 because one small square is 0.1, do you try to plot in-between 2.1 and 2.2 or round it and plot at 2.2 itself? Does this apply to error bars as well?
