 | Just got this new washing machine today. The guy that installed it that was hired through Home Depot said the black drain hose is too high and that if Home Depot were to come to the house and inspect for warranty reasons it wouldn’t pass. He said it will be hard on the motor to pump the water out this high but said he didn’t know what to do to fix it since it’s the only drain pipe in the house. I was on hold for 30 minutes to report an issue with ASA Firewall in CML, and the girl kept asking me what business impact it was having. Ultimately I had to hang up the phone because she couldn't "find me" in your system ::rolling eyes:: so I couldn't even open a case with you guys. She kept asking me what the 'serial number' of the ASA device was WHAT? I kept explaining CML is a lab environment and she didn't seem to get that. How are you guys hiring these low quality people? WTF!?

2025.02.01 18:53 InsecureGirlJKImDope How do I distinguish toxic anxiety from a trustworthy gut feeling?
My bf and I have been happily dating for like 7 months, knowing each other for over a year. When we met, he had just come out of a 14 year relationship, the last half of it being hard on him, so he has some trauma from that. So do I from my past, even though I have had (and taken) years to heal from it as much as possible on my own. Built my home, got to know who I am and what I want. I consider knowing and having your own identity super important which is why I don’t ever rush my bf, however I have been honest and direct with what I want from a relationship from the beginning. And we do align generally, otherwise I wouldn’t have started dating him. Today however I am somewhat spiraling. This year, three of his friends are getting married, and naturally, we are both invited and will be attending. When I asked him earlier today, if he was planning on getting married within the next five years, he replied that he isn’t saying no, however it depends a lot on his situation (he has a very relatable list of things he wants to accomplish/have checked off) and that after the past years (referring to his ex), his mind is nowhere near that thought. He does say he wants to get married to me in general, but I don’t know why it irks me so much that even five years seem too little time. I am a bit of an anxious person by nature, so I do need more words of affirmation/security than others maybe, and we also do not want children, so there is no biological clock ticking (well there is but without relevance) which is why I don’t know why I have been crying all day (he also left for a business trip so that doesn’t help). He treats me very well, and I know he cherishes and respects me, I am just emotionally so 💯 percent all the time, be it positive or negative, that I feel like I want him more than he me. He tends to be emotionally more.. reserved? But not numb or god forbid abusive.. just different. I know he cares, he just shows it differently and needs time to get his life (as an individual) to a point he is happy with as he has been a „we“ his entire adolescence/adulthood.. my question is, are there examples of you guys where this worked out? I DO NOT want to read comments à la /waitingtowed, I am fully aware of that perspective.

I need some advice. I am an extremely extroverted father where I gain happiness and balance from spending time socializing with friends. My wife is more introverted and is happy to spend an entire weekend in the house just us watching TV and movies. She is also understandably struggling with how she looks as she is 2 months post partum and is already starting to be warm where we live.
I want to go out for at least an hour or two on the weekend with her and our son so spend time with friends but she doesn't necessarily want to or need to. I also can't really go out on my own because I work full time and she's a stay at home mom so it's just more time where she is handling the baby by herself.
I could go out with the baby and let her chill at home but she values quality time and doesn't want to be at home alone on the weekend.
Just curios if anyone else has experienced this. I want to be a good dad and husband but don't want to lose friends or ignore something that helps with my happiness and mental health especially during these challenges early months.
