One year ago i decided to do my part supporting local news by subscribing to the Daily Freeman digital edition with a once-a-week delivery of the Sunday newspaper
Sunday paper never showed up.... ever. I have spent the last year attempting to figure out why the paper never showed up. Multiple attempts were made to contact anyone and everyone in the customer support and circulation departments, and I was always given the same answer, sometimes by the same people repeatedly, and sometimes by new people.... "we will let our delivery contractor know, they will fix it, give it some time". Over and over and over again.
Finally, last week, after sending a series of .... i'm sorry to say.... increasingly rude and ridiculous messages, i finally get a message back from somebody in the circulation department for the Lowell Sun (another paper in MA owned by the same media group - who i guess must be the circulation-boss that handles all their papers?).
She basically said, "we don't have any delivery contractor to deliver the papers, and we can't send the Sunday paper through the mail. So there is literally no way for you to get the paper"
The icing on the cake, after pressing her on it, is that she said that they haven't been able to do it since BEFORE i even subscribed the paper, over a year ago... and probably much longer than that. And... even if i subscribe to the 7-days a week paper delivery, they still won't deliver the Sunday paper even though they'll charge me for it. So both print subscription options available, as advertised, don't actually exist, and haven't existed in at least a year or longer.
But I guess the other 5 people in their circulation department i have spoken to over the last 11 months were unaware of this?! And on top of that, you can STILL go on their website and subscribe to the Sunday paper delivery and be charged for it.
I spent a year feeling like i was screaming into the void, and now I feel like either... this lady is lying to me because she wants me to go away, or they are some ridiculous combination of incompetent and ignorant. They are simultaneously aware there is both a problem and aware they haven't done anything about it... in over a year, while not changing their subscription information..... and that their entire customer service dept and circulation department except for this one woman is unaware of that.
Has anyone else experienced this or had success in dealing with this? I really just want the damn Sunday paper delivered.

A couple of my coworkers quit the kitchen so we have new hires now. I noticed that one of them is a slightly fat dude and everytime he is within five feet of me the stench of just - I don't know how to describe it - just awfulness is overwhelms my senses. I haven't even spoken to him yet because this is my second day working with him but it's really pissing me off how he thinks it's okay to just walk around violating everyone's nostrils like that. Has no one told him before? Do some people genuinely have zero self awareness? Do i just notice things that others don't? It's genuinely disgusting. The only way I can describe the smell is old crusty body fluids and dandruff that is AGING.
I don't give a crap how rude I sound. When it's break time I'm going to bluntly tell this dude in the nicest way possible that he genuinely has a horrible stench that surrounds him and it's really upsetting me and giving me sensory issues and he needs to like, shower before work, or use deodorant at least. Probably some axe body spray too because jfc.
If I were in charge I'd give him one warning and if he doesn't improve his hygiene I would fire his ass for disturbing the atmosphere. How can people just walk around in public like that and not feel embarrassed? I don't care how nice or humble you are. If you stink like moldy cheese that was left in the sun for six months and you can't take care of your own hygiene as a grown up please stay like 20 feet away from me at all times and don't go out in public ever 🤢

As far as I’ve seen, everyone just agrees with that, even though the game itself never explicitly confirms it. Now, you might argue that it’s mentioned in dialogue within Subnautica and Below Zero, but here’s the surprise—those dialogues were cut from the final version of the games. You can’t use cut content as proof. In fact, every piece of content that explicitly confirmed the mid-23rd century timeline was removed, which means it can’t be considered canon. Not even the poster from Below Zero helps, because it contains no date. Simply put: there is no definitive proof.
So, what now? Didn’t I just claim that I have proof? Yes, I did—and I do. I have a single piece of evidence: a sword.
The key to solving this mystery lies with the Ancient Earth Blade. The PDA entry describes it as:
"An ancient Earth blade, dating back to the 13th century. Blood samples on the blade match the DNA of seven separate heads of state from the period."
I decided to investigate, searching for a real historical sword that matches this description. I found the Mongolian Dao.
(I discovered this by using AI to analyze the image of the blade and search for similar 13th-century weapons from Asia. The blade from the PDA matches this description: it’s curved, dates back to the Yuan dynasty (13th century), and even features horse-themed ornamentation, suggesting it was used by Mongolian cavalry. Based on this, we can confidently identify the Ancient Earth Blade as a type of Dao.
What Does This Have to Do with Subnautica’s Timeline?

I m considering trying CBD for my anxiety issues and I used to be on benzodiazepines before but I stopped before I develop any addiction. I was wondering because I took benzos before if CBD was going to help as benzos are strong and high potent meds. I'm afraid if I start too low it won't help. How can I know the right dose for me? Trial and error? I ordered a CBD CBG oil formula for the day and CBD CBN for the night.

 | I have the 12 inch Big Fudge Polypropylene outer vinyl sleeves and I noticed that the outer jackets are getting damaged. It looks like the plastic is breaking down (?) and damaging the jackets similarly. I haven't even had them in these sleeves for very long! Maybe 6 months. I'm so sad:( Has anyone else had this happen? Any fix for it? Should I switch to a different brand/material of outer sleeve? I tried posting this in Taylor Swift vinyl and the vinyl sub and it just gets auto removed no matter what I do so I’ll try and post here. 2025.02.01 19:32 Cecee-rona Abnormal Toenail Growth
18f, 5’5, non-smoking, no medication
I suffered some mild trauma to my big toe a few years ago that resulted in my toe nail growing a new nail under the old dead nail. Beyond that it looks kind of normal and has been growing out for the past four years. However, I cut it a tad too short recently (3 months ago approx) and it’s stopped growing entirely. Because the new nail and the dead nail are still on top of each othe fused, my overall nail is too thick to grow over my toe properly. As in my toe is now too big for the nail to grow forward. The problem now is I have no cuticle whatsoever, for months my nail bed where my cuticle should be is just skin and I’m experiencing some soreness around where my nail grows from, and my toe feels weirdly hard just past were my nail bed is. I do not have this on my other big toe.
I worry my nail can’t continue growing forward over my toe, and now my toenail is growing backwards and pushing my nail bed deeper into my toe.
Is there a way I can stop this/ get my toe to grow normally forwards? I’d rather not have to go to a podiatrist.

I've been thinking about taking estrogen. I don't want to transition but I've never been comfortable in my own mind. Ever since I started dressing fem I've started to feel a lot better. I think that having a more feminine figure and blocking testosterone would be huge for me. I have some serious concerns though. One day I would like to have biological children. I'm also really worried about growing breasts. That is the last thing I want. Any thoughts or insights would be awesome!
