I plan on researching the religion soon, as I am not personally a part of it, so as a non-follower, I want to ask why it is so restrictive? Praying I believe 5 times a day, making women wear that insane clothing, etc., and not to mention the homophobia. Sorry if it is disrespectful, but I just want to know.

I appreciate good sound and can easily tell the difference. However I haven't had decent stereo speakers for home. 60W TV speakers on my QN90B sound much better than my Google Nest Mini 2nd Gen because of stereo, volume and bass response. Couldn't notice latency on the latter. Utility - all, games, video, music. Looking for an upgrade but tight on budget. Also want to be able to carry my sound in a bagpack/suitcase. First choice single UBOOM L (unsure if stereo or mono). Might stretch budget for X, unsure.

Any parents lose their identity when they became parents? My son is 9. I'm a single mom always have been. My sons father is a piece of 💩 that lives in another state and has never wanted to be a part of my sons life.
I used to do everything with my son. Now I’m a custody battle with a 3rd party. It is a long story but after several years of trying to become financially stable and really not being able to give my son the life I feel he deserves I asked for help.
What I was met with was an emergency protective order. I do not use drugs. I don’t abuse my son. We have a decent relationship. One night when I left for work I left him with a neighbor. The neighbor inappropriately touched my son. It was traumatic I had to bring him down to testify. I decided after some time it might be best if he lived with family while I tried to find us a more stable place to live. It was supposed to be very temporary. Instead it’s become a court order for the past 3 years, and I am deemed parentally unfit.
I see my child 2x a week and every other weekend it’s not nearly enough. When he is not with me if I am not at work I have no idea what to do with myself. I lie in bed and stare at the wall to pass the time. This is no exaggeration and I’ve been doing this for the past 3 years.
I’m a very solution focused person and if there is not a solution to my problem or I have to wait I do not understand the point of being awake. This may seem extreme to most people but I truly feel that way. I mean if I am not with my son then what’s the point. Except, I can’t keep on living like this. It’s bad for my mental health which in the long run impacts him and his mental health.

My cat (10 mo domestic shorthair, male) was directly exposed to a rabid bat about three weeks ago (confirmed by bat testing). He was up to date on vaccination and received a booster the day after exposure. He's in a 45 confinement period at home (he's an indoor cat anyway) per the order of the health department and vet. Yesterday, he threw up a bit of foam. Today, a few more times, and some diarrhea. More concerning is he is not eating today (though he ate a couple treats earlier). Normally I would have already called our vet, but given the confinement I'm afraid they'll jump straight to euthanasia for testing. It's possible he ate something toxic for example. Of course if he displays a decline into rabies neuro symptoms I know what we will have to do. But if I call the vet about this are they likely to go straight to that option because of the potential rabies risk? Even though the vaccines are so effective? I don't want to avoid medical care for him if he can get it. It's been about 24 hours now since he first displayed a bit of GI trouble. I know the prodrome can be longer than that so we are possibly not out of the weeds yet. Please help, I'm really worried about my little guy. I'm in New England, US.
