I’m building a super small form factor pc (4.8L) and I want to know which of these CPUs would be best. the cooler i’m using is the noctua NH-L9-65, which is the best cooler that’s still small enough to fit in the case (custom mod sl3 4.8L) so i’m a bit worried about the cooling performance. Online, it seems that the price different between the 2 chips is about $30-40 USD. I know the 9600x is a lower TDP chip, so it will probably run cooler than the 7600x, but will it run cooler while keeping the same performance as the 7600x? Is the cooling difference going to be worth the 40 bucks?

It’s late summer, a sweltering night with the air heavy and thick, barely moving through the open windows. Sakura and her friends are lounging around her room after a long, draining exam day. Laughter fills the room as they snack on chips and talk about everything except the exams. Sakura can’t help but bring up the legend of Akai Warai Otoko,intrigued by the way his name alone seems to carry so much weight.
Her friends, lounging around lazily, aren’t particularly interested in spooky stories, but Sakura’s enthusiasm is hard to ignore.
“You know,” Sakura begins, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial tone, “there’s this legend about a man who’s said to appear if you summon him. Akai Warai Otoko You can call him by saying his name three times in front of a mirror.”
One of her friends, Rika, laughs dismissively, tossing a chip into her mouth. “Are you serious, Sakura? That sounds like some dumb urban legend.”
Sakura’s gaze drifts toward the darkened window, the shadows outside seeming to grow thicker as the light from the streetlamp flickers. “I mean, it’s not just a story. There are people who claim they’ve seen him. They say he’s got this huge, red smile that stretches from ear to ear. And his eyes—black, like endless pits.”
The other friends snicker, exchanging amused glances.
“Come on, Sakura, it’s just a story. Do it! Call him! Prove he’s real,” Rika says, mocking her tone now. “It’s only a mirror, right?”
Sakura hesitates, the playful teasing gnawing at her nerves. The air feels a little thicker, and for the first time that evening, the heat of the summer night seems oppressive, suffocating. Her friends keep urging her on, laughing, but Sakura feels a cold knot of dread tightening in her chest.
“Fine,” she mutters, feeling the weight of their ridicule pressing on her. “But you’re all going to regret it.”
The Summoning:
Sakura turns away from her friends and faces the mirror across the room. The glass seems to reflect the dim light strangely, as though it doesn’t quite want to show the truth. The room grows quieter, except for the faint sound of the air conditioning humming in the background.
She looks at her reflection, swallowing hard. The room feels smaller, the walls closing in just a bit. The mirror seems to magnify her fear.
"[Akai Warai Otoko,” she says, her voice barely above a whisper. A brief silence follows, and her heart pounds against her ribs.
“Akai Warai Otoko.” Her voice grows more confident, tinged with both curiosity and something darker, but still, nothing happens.
The third time, Sakura says it with more defiance. “Akai Warai Otoko!”
There’s a long, heavy pause.
Then… silence.
Her friends laugh. “See? Nothing happened, Sakura. You really think something’s going to—”
But the words die on their lips as the temperature in the room suddenly drops. The faintest tremor of unease fills the space.
Building the Horror:
Then it begins. The air thickens, suffocating, pressing against their skin. Sakura feels her breath catch in her throat. Her friends glance around, confusion furrowing their brows. The room, which moments ago had been filled with warmth and chatter, now feels overwhelmingly cold.
One of her friends, Yuka, shivers. “What the hell… is it just me, or is it colder in here?”
Rika stands up and flips the light switch, but the light flickers once, twice, then goes out completely. They’re plunged into darkness.
"Great," Rika says, her voice strained, "just great. What a way to end the night."
The moment her voice fades, they hear it. A faint, echoing giggle. A child’s laugh, eerie and distant. It’s so quiet at first that they think it’s just the wind, but the more they listen, the clearer it becomes—closer, louder, as though it’s coming from inside the room.
“Did you hear that?” Sakura whispers, her voice shaking now.
But the others shake their heads, nervous chuckles forced from their lips.
“I’m sure it’s nothing,” Yuka says, trying to laugh it off, but her voice falters.
The giggle grows louder. Closer.
The Akai Warai Otoko Appears:
From the corner of the room, a shape begins to emerge, its outline barely visible against the faint light coming from the broken flashlight. The figure is tall, unnaturally so, its long limbs bending in an unsettling way.
Then the smile—the red, glowing grin—appears, stretching impossibly wide across its face. Its eyes are nothing but deep, empty voids, and as it steps into the dim light, the sheer malice of its presence makes the room feel smaller, suffocating.
“Akai Warai Otoko...” Rika gasps, her voice trembling. “Is… is that—”
Akai Warai Otoko moves slowly, almost languidly, toward them. His long fingers twitch in the air, and the room seems to stretch in ways that defy logic, as though the very space itself is bending, warping to the will of the figure in front of them.
The darkness in the corners of the room is alive, writhing with shadowy figures that seem to flicker, as if everything is being painted with his smile. The light flickers again, and they can’t escape his eyes. Sakura feels her reflection in the mirror—her own face—start to warp into the same red grin. It’s as though the smile has attached itself to her, to them all. It’s everywhere.
“I told you,” Sakura whispers, her voice barely audible now. “I warned you…”
The Psychological Toll:
Akai Warai Otoko’s presence begins to seep into their minds. Sakura tries to look away, but the smile follows her. Every reflection—every surface, even the dark, gleaming floor beneath them—bears his grin.
Her friends begin to panic, but no matter where they look, they see the same thing. The smile. The darkness. The sound of the giggling, which no longer sounds far away—it sounds like it's inside their skulls, like it’s crawling behind their eyes.
“Please, stop...” Yuka gasps, clutching her head as if the very air itself is crushing her. “It’s too much…”
The room feels like it’s closing in, and Sakura’s heart races. Her warning rings in her ears: “You can never forget what you saw tonight. It’s not just a story.”
In the chaos, Sakura spots something on the floor near the bed—a piece of paper, crumpled. She bends down and picks it up, her hands shaking. It’s a drawing. A crude sketch of Akai Warai Otoko, with that horrific red smile drawn so vividly, almost as if it had been pulled from the darkness.
“No, no, no...” she mutters. The drawing is familiar. It looks like it was done by one of them. But it’s far too close to what they’ve seen in the mirror—too detailed, too real.
Her breath catches as she feels the ground tremble slightly under her feet. She looks at her friends, their faces pale, their eyes wide, still seeing his grin everywhere. But it’s not just his smile anymore. It’s theirs too.
The Escape (Or Not):
The door slams shut with a loud bang. No one can move, no one can breathe. And then, just as suddenly, the figure fades—leaving behind only the red glow in their minds, in the reflections, in the corners of their thoughts.
The air is still cold. The room is silent.
Akai Warai Otoko is gone. For now.
But Sakura knows the truth now. He’s not gone. He’s part of them. Always watching, always waiting.
The Aftermath:
Her friends breathe, gasping for air as though they’ve been submerged underwater. The lights flicker back to life, and the door creaks open.
But Sakura knows. The curse isn’t over. Not for her, not for her friends. Akai Warai Otoko might be gone for now, but his smile will stay with them—always.

2025.02.01 22:09 popotem Received 1099-K from paypal, despite only using it to purchase from other platforms. Will this cause issues for me? Has anyone else had this happen?
Hi!
I received a paper copy of a 1099-K stating that i’d made $1090 dollars through paypal in June of 2024. I have no bank transactions or paypal history that backs this up, and I only use paypal to purchase from other sites, not for sales or personal transactions. All transactions are debits from my bank account outside of the rare instance where i am credited back for something.
The only positive transaction in my account history for June is a refund for $ 32 dollars, for something id purchased that the seller canceled on me. This obviously should not count as income, and obviously is not $1090 dollars lol.
Im wondering - did anyone else have this happen? The tax documents will not show on the site for me yet, so i cant check its validity or the breakdown of transactions. I dont know what the end game would be, but could this be some sort of scam?
I’d understand personal transactions being miscalculated as goods and services, but i don’t even have those. Its all just money being taken /from/ me, which concerns me?
What do you think?

So I’m a female in a relationship and from the beginning I told my partner that I watched porn sometimes because it’s hard to focus because of my ADHD. After telling him this I asked if he watched porn as well, I expected his answer to be like hy everyone does it but he told me no not really. So fast forward I’m on his phone scrolling through X and I was trying to go to the search bar to look for something and all of his searches were of onlyfan girls. I didn’t know how to feel because in a way I felt betrayed so I asked him about it nd he just brushed it off like it was nothing.
Because of his nonchalant demeanor about the situation I decided to test a theory out. Everyday when he came home from work I checked his twitter and each day I checked it was a new onlyfans page that would pop up. I’m not one to judge anyone at all but idk how to feel. Like I would’ve thought by now he would’ve came clean about it but he always just tells me I’m wrong. Like is he fantasizing about something maybe I can’t give him so instead of discussing it he turns to porn? I’ve also had the thought that maybe he was addicted to watching porn which would never be an issue for me unless it was causing problems within our relationship. My problem is I can’t help him if he keeps lying saying he never watches porn but has a new onlyfans model on X everyday.
P.S- to my knowledge he has never used his money to actually buy the onlyfans subscription he just watches the videos they post on X.
