Welcome to this week's aromantic rant with Formal-ad-21205.
Does anyone else HATE the saying, "she's married, so she's in a different stage of life." It makes life sound like a board game, and implies that her game piece is ahead of mine, which is hurtful.
Why are married women typically seen as busier or more responsible? And I am NOT referring to married women with kids.
I once had a close female friend who I used to see a lot. She used to be the one who I could always go to when I had a problem. She was also a big extrovert, and was usually the one planning parties and sleepovers. She was hilarious and would call herself a "weirdo" a lot.
I have barely seen her since she got married. On the rare occasion when I would see her, she would leave early to go see her husband. She would also cancel plans last minute, and even forgot my birthday.
I began to take it personally. When I expressed this to mutual friends, they would say things such as:
"Oh, it's because she's busy with marriage."
"When she was single, she had a lot more free time."
"She's a married woman with a lot of responsibilities."
Also it implies that single women ...don't have a lot of responsibilities, which is not true. I have a college degree, a full-time job, and a load of housework that I have to do ALONE without a partner to help me.
What is it, then, about marriage, that takes up so much of a woman's time?
Note: Again, I am referring to married women who DON'T have kids.

Ok...first things first...I am not here to complain about the location/price point of the date. I am looking for input on how to proceed. I asked chat gpt and got 'his effort and interest are low' response.
Met a match. We had a very nice, casual first date; coffee shop in a bookstore and got to know each other a little better. He asked me out for a second date and I agreed. He texted me later that day to set it up. He suggested we grab fast food.
This sort of surprised me because FF is generally low effort, over quickly - nothing to do with price and nowadays it isn't exactly cheap either as it is probably the same price or close to a mid-range restaurant. It just feels meh like maybe he isnt into me but he wanted to get together again. I was really excited about a fun second date or something a little more personal.  | you should read The Night Ship by Jess Kidd! It’s historical fiction, but it’s based on the wreck of the Batavia. It’s told from the perspectives of a little girl who was a passenger on the ship and a boy living on the island they were marooned on about 300 years (iirc) after the wreck. It’s all I can think about while listening to this series lol. Hi guys! So I am in the early stages of my channel and attempting to grow it little by little. I doubled down on my efforts from last upload and while I didn't have huge exceptions at least I was expecting to maybe gain a few subs and achieve better views than with the one before. The thing is that it seems I absolutely crashed with this one. I know nothing is 100% perfect and I still have lot to learn with pretty much every aspect. The problem is that I don't know exactly what went so horribly wrong. I have tried to get some feedback, but so far I'm getting only silence.
Is it simply not interesting enough? Is the narrator boring? Or did I go too far with my attempts with character positioning? I tried to circumvent the limitations to AI fighting scenes by adding some symbolism, and acknowledge that the editing could be better. Did that make the end result just a mess and nobody understood it at all?

I watch a lot of anime. I enjoy slice of life or hobby or relaxing anime. I notice majority seem to be full female cast with little to no male characters. Take anime like Yuru Camp. It's great and relaxing but I don't even remember if 1 guy is shown.

I start by concentrating on my breathing, then add sight.
Then I superimpose the sensation of my whole body, trying to feel it fully.
Then I add the emotions I'm feeling at that precise moment, before integrating the awareness of my own consciousness.
This superposition creates a very complex mental state, but I can only maintain it for one or two minutes.
Then I release everything and start again, concentrating on my breathing, and repeat the process over and over again.
It's an extremely powerful meditation.
