So my sp and I got back together. The issue howeevr is that I think he's being dishonest with me. We have a great relationship and all the boxes are checked However he randomly will lie to me about where he's at. I truly don't think it's cheating related but itdoes raise concerns. Since we got back together he lied once and I successfully let it go But it's happening again and I'm struggling. I don't wanna react to the 3D but also don't know how to fix this

2025.02.01 23:01 Competitive_Iron5839 Girl is being mocked because of her crush on me. I feel guilty, what should I do?
Ok, so, recently it came into light that a girl has a crush on me, cool. Some of my friends caught her peeking at me while I was not looking, so I made up an excuse to talk to her. She seemed nervous and tried to avoid eye contact, which I found cute and hilarious. Some other people around also noticed, and so some rumours started spreading around school that she liked me and that I liked her back, which I didn't really mind as long as it was all good-natured. You may be able to tell where am going with this.
So for a few days now I've tried to walk up to her during breaks and stuff, and everytime she ran away somewhere else. The first couple times I just thought she was shy, but it's been happening every time now. Now I've realized the she might be mad at me. I recently learned that some people have started mocking her and pressing her about it, from what I know, it's gotten to the point where even in the bathroom they're asking her about it.
I know it's not entirely my fault, but I still feel guilty and want to apologize to her. What should I do?

Hi docs,
I(28M) moved to Switzerland around 6 years ago to pursue my studies. Around that time, some stomach issues that I hadn't experienced before starting showing up, and I haven't managed to find a solution to them yet, even after countless visits to doctors. The symptoms are the following: Inability to properly digest most of the foods I eat, which lead to stomach noises and excessive bloating. The only thing that helped me was Rifaximin, but the symptoms came back less than 1 month after stopping it. I've managed to somehow put it under control by having a very limited diet(no lactose, no fruits, no gluten...etc), but I still have issues quite frequently and as soon as I stray away from the diet, it becomes unbearable. At the moment I'm taking the current OTC medicines: Colostrum, Sibosan, Activated Charcoal, Oregano oil, and I've never felt better. This has been a constant source of anxiety for me and it happens daily or every other day, so any advice would really be life-changing. TIA :)

2025.02.01 23:01 trollzem1 U100 hardwired as a fix for unresponsive “broken mode” issue… and some thoughts
I got this smart lock from Amazon a little over a year ago.
Out of the box with the provided batteries the thing wouldn’t even respond and I couldn’t see it up.
I was doing other construction on my place and decided to deal with it later. A few months later I got around to trying to install it again and it came to life. I registered my fingerprint and set up HomeKit which was great.
All was great until the first “broken mode” event. The lock wouldn’t unlock with a code or fingerprint. Completely dead and not responsive. I managed to unlock it through HomeKit on my home app but it was a scare.
I made 4 copies of the included key and gave it to my family and instructed them to have the key on them at all times in case of a lock out.
I read online that removing a battery would fix the issue. For me, this did not work. It remained unresponsive.
Occasionally the lock would come to life and the fingerprint would work and the experience would be great… however the issue kept happening. At some point it stopped working and hasn’t come back to life. I thought surely this thing is just dead at this point.
I opened the app a few weeks ago and noticed there was a firmware update that claimed to fix the problem. I thought FINALLY. I tried to install the update but it failed because the lock is faulty.
As a last resort through troubleshooting I connected the lock to a power bank and it came to life.
This lead me to believe that the issue is with the type of batteries I’m using. This might be the case but once the lock came alive again I successfully updated the firmware in hopes of the lock working. The firmware updated, the lock still didn’t work.
I took out my tools, made an 11 dollar amazon purchase of a 30ft usb C flat wire cable and got to work.
I connected the lock to a usb power supply, ran and hid 30ft of cable to allow the door to open smoothly without the cable showing too much through clever holes and wire management, and the lock now works as it should.
I shouldn’t have had to do this.
This lock has major flaws defeating the entire purpose of having a smart lock.
I’m sharing this for anyone who has a dead u100 installed. Try plugging it into usb and if you want try a different brand of batteries. If you have the patience and the setup to allow for usb power and don’t wanna get another lock, that solution has worked for me.
Hoping it doesn’t go into broken mode again.

I feel like 401(k)s are one of those things everyone says is super important, but no one really explains in a way that makes sense. I just started a new job, and they’re offering a 401(k) with a company match, but I have no idea how much I should contribute or what investments to pick.
For those of you who have been contributing for a while, how did you figure out the right percentage to put in? Is there a point where it’s better to focus on other investments instead? And if you haven’t started one yet, what’s holding you back? Just trying to get a better understanding before I blindly throw money into it.

Hi there,
I'm a tea drinker (100%), but when I have guests, most of them are drinking coffee (or at least wanting some coffee). In the beginning, I was using some of those instant coffees, but I know that they are terrible (same with tea; those Lipton teabags are trash). So I was wondering about pour over, I already have a gooseneck kettle with temperature control, and I want to give my guest good coffee.
So several questions:
- What kind of coffee beans are appreciated by most people? I would like to have at least one normal and one deca
- I would like a manual grinder since an electric one takes some space and I don't want a machine on my kitchen when I only use it once a week. What do you recommend? (I don't mind spending a bit)
- I know that I need a philter. Is there any gear that can be washed instead of thrown away?
- Is there anything else I should know about pour-over?
I think it is basic respect to make an effort for a guest, but I don't want to buy a basic coffee machine with those pads that turn bad after a while and cost an arm and a leg for poor quality. And instant coffee seems to be the worst kind of coffee. But if you think that it's not worth it to learn how to make a good pour-over and that there are easier ways with similar quality, I'm listening :)
