Three weeks ago we took home a one year old rescue on a foster to adopt. The relationship between the foster dog and our current dog (10 years old - had for over 9 years) was not as positive as we had hoped, and initially the foster dog experienced a lot of separation anxiety. Because of this we debated ending the foster to adopt after the “trial period” of 3 days, but there were still so many positives that we just didn’t know what to do. The shelter suggested that we extend the period and see how things progressed. After one week, the separation anxiety was much better - and she had meshed wonderfully with our cat. Unfortunately, our 10 year old dog was still uncertain of the young energy. There was no aggression on either end, but we were sad to see how indifferent the dogs were to each other. We ultimately felt as though it wasn’t fair to either dog, as our older dog seemed stressed and our young foster was craving a playmate. But we asked if we could continue to foster until she was adopted, as we had bonded and overall things were ok at home for the short term. We brought her to an adoption event today as promised, and were surprised to be told that we needed to leave her because they felt as though she needed more visibility at the shelter. We felt as though we had to, since we weren’t adopting. But now we are having such strong regrets about not fighting to keep her as a foster. She wasn’t adopted at the event, so now I know she’s back at the shelter and I can only imagine how scary that must be. I’m just feeling a lot of regret and wondering what I could have done better for her, as I hate that she felt at home just this morning, and now she’s abandoned alone at the shelter.

A couple days ago, family member was telling me about their church so I googled it and skimmed through their socials and YouTube and one interview stood out to me. When Amy posted her instagram today, I noticed a screenshot with a text from someone with the same last name as the guy in the interview. I went back to the interview and it was the same guy, then realized it was the guy from her instagram reel for the weekend getaway that was posted here.
He lost his wife to cancer and he practices law in TN and NY, as well as holds a real estate license in NY. Appears to be fairly successful. He seems like a really kind man and loving father from the church video, and obviously has been through some tough situations. It makes sense why Amy has been to NYC a few times lately since he has ties there.

2025.02.02 01:51 Mission-Candle-2360 Goruck strap break-in question
Got my first Goruck today - a Ranger Green GR1 Slick. I really like the quality of the bag but have an issue with it and I'm not sure if it's just how the bag fits me.
The problem I am having is that the straps don't sit flat on my shoulders so all of the weight of the bag is put on the edges of the straps and it feels like they just want to move outwards. Needless to say having the narrow edges dig into my shoulders isn't really comfortable.
Does this sound like something that will go away as the straps break in or could it be more more of a result of how the bag fits on me?
I know a sternum strap would help but I don't think any are available that would work with the ranger green Slick.
I also tried adjusting how tight the straps were and that helped a little bit but didn't make the problem go away.
I'm just trying to decide if I should keep the bag or return it.

How does the GTCC work as far as paying it back? I know you use it and submit everything at the end of the TAD, PCS, or Travel. At that point it's supposed to be processed and the total that the Government feels that your owed is paid.
1) Is this paid directly to the card?
2) what is the appeal process if the total balance isn't paid?
3) What things are important to get during your TAD, PCS or Travel? (EX CNA)
4) Are you the service expected to make payment out of pocket at all before payment is recieved? (EX Monthly payment like a normal Credit Card)

Before I go on with more detail I will lay my main question to start this discussion flat
Starter:
- Should art teachers be able to give such a large assignment with a limited amount of time to students who are NOT focused in pursing art?
- Is their anyway to complete a large color pencil drawing in 2 days without pulling multiple all nighters.
We were given only 4 classes to finish this project. Each class is 1hr and 40mins. Equal too 6hrs about so. It may just be me that is falling behind because I put to much effort into my drawings. But either way that is not nearly enough time to color in color pencil a 20x15 sheet of paper.
I have tonight, Sunday and part of Monday to finish this. Is it only me that thinks this is an insane prospect for a high school level class. This takes up all my weekend and study time. This has lended up to be more than homework.
