First, thank you for taking time out of your day to read through this post 🙂 and I hope that your day is treating you well.
I’m looking for some people to talk to throughout the day and share my random everyday thoughts and musings with. It would be nice if we shared some similar hobbies and if we could watch movies or play games in our free time when possible.
I’m a homebody, and I’m pretty introverted, so besides work I don’t really like to go out much once I get home haha 😅.
Another thing you should know about me is I love to crack jokes and laugh, make and share memes. Take one good look at my profile on here, hell even my pfp (no seriously! Go look and see 💀) and you’ll see that, unless you are Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles. (No?, okay I’ll step out now lmao 🤣) So if you have good memes or funny witty jokes throw em at me. I love a good laugh lol.
I enjoy watching everything from K-dramas, to legal dramas, to anime, to movies, to chilling with a good book while snuggled up in a blanket 😌. I just love getting lost in a good story. It’s been a hot minute since I read a good book tho. I used to read alllllllll the time in high school tho. Never really been in a book club now that I think about it 🤔 but seems like it would be fun tho!
I listen to all kinds of music. It mostly depends on the song for me. I’ll listen to anything from Eminem to Deadmau5, Skrillex and Louis the child. I like some alternative, some rock like AC/DC, Metallica, some Kpop, like IU, BTS, and other artist like Disclosure, Earth Wind & Fire, Ella Mai ect. Like I said, I literally listen to a bit of everything haha.
I enjoy gaming. As far as consoles go, I have a PS5, and a Switch (that’s pretty much collecting dust 😭) and a Wii (that I ironically use more often than my Switch 💀) . The nostalgia hits hard being able to playing my favorite older games again. I play a lot of Fortnite mostly, but I’m open to trying out new games as well. Looking forward to getting Mario kart for my Wii soon.
I also love playing board games! Everything from Monopoly to checkers to dominos to chess. It’s been ages since I had a game night with some friends.
I know a little bit of French but will probably never ever reach fluency haha 😆. Consistency is my kryptonite 🥲.
One last thing, I don’t by any means expect you to write a paragraph. Just a basic and brief intro with a general idea of who you are and whatnot will suffice. I don’t respond to messages that say “Hi” or similar stuff. Just letting you know in advance.

Hey! So I’m a dad to a 6 year old and work full time so I don’t have much free time to go out and meet people..so figured I would try here!
Physically I’m 5’10” 250lbs with an average/ dadbod physique. I do try to be consistent with work outs 3x a week. I have brown haieyes and I have a few tattoos. I’d be down to exchange pictures in a chat once we connect.

I’m looking for someone who’s open to falling in love. I’m also open to just friends and new connections as well. My ideal partner though would be someone who knows their worth and what they want. Someone who is serious. LoveBest friend type energy. I’m open to long distance/phone calls/facetiming, but want to be able to meet and visit each other if we hit it off! Also I’m unable to relocate due to my custody agreement with my son’s mother.

 | Backstory: I have an Audio Technica LP60 turntable, and the playback speed is too fast. I used the RPM Wow app to confirm the speed is about 3% faster than 33 1/3. It’s significant enough that I can hear it when listening to records. I went through the process of adjusting the speed by turning the screws under the motor to no avail. I may have been too rough with it at first, because no matter how delicately I turn the screws now, it will speed up to 80+ RPM and then slow back down on its own. I’ve decided the motor won’t run at the proper speed and so I bought a replacement motor on eBay. My actual question is about replacing the motor. I found this article with instructions (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Audio+Technica+AT-LP60BK+Motor+Replacement/128266) which is helpful but doesn’t exactly mirror my situation. Should I desolder the 4 wires connected to the current motor, and re-solder them to new motor? The replacement motor already has these 4 wires connected, but am I right to assume that it’s better to use the existing wires since they are already routed and connected properly? I’m hesitant to start resoldering because 1) the new motor has clearly labeled the wires (AB+-) but the old motor does not, so I want to be sure I’m connecting them correctly; and 2) the new motor has a yellow and white wire pair, while the old one has two white wires, so it’s even harder to confirm the order of the wires when soldering. (I’ve considered using the new wires instead, but it’s not clear to me what the red and black wires connect to on the other end because they are obscured by glue.) I appreciate any advice! (Also, I know that the AT-LP60 is a crappy starter model, but I’d rather repair what I have than buy something new.) submitted by theverbistheword to turntables [link] [comments] |

Or in other words, which enemy civs lead to the most difficult game for the player?
I’m looking to create a challenge run for myself. I’d like to run a tiny map on online speed against 4 Deity AI. I will let the game state determine which victory I will go for, although I would prefer not to win via domination or religion. I’m trying to brainstorm which civs would be fun to place in my game. I’d like:
• A warmonger. I’ve considered Alexander, Shaka, Gran Columbia, Aztec, Rough Rider Teddy… who else?
• A strong science civ. I’m thinking Korea. Maybe the Maya?
• A strong culture civ. Maybe Greece?
• A strong religious presence. Perhaps Peter?
From my experience, the civs who benefit from spamming one specific strong district (such as Greece or Korea) tend to do quite well as AI, since spamming your win con district is about as good as it gets in terms of AI tactics.
Any input on civs/leaders/settings would be appreciated!
(note: I can’t use mods because I’m a console peasant)
