Hi there! As the post says I’m a 29 year old guy from the east coast of the US.
A bit about me: I work in finance and definitely spend too much time on that (hence why I want to find someone to spend more time with). As far as hobbies, etc. I love to travel and cook. I enjoy listening to music - mostly pop punk, Midwest emo, etc. I also like to watch TV and movies. The Office, HIMYM, Brooklyn 99 are all solid plus I’ll watch anything related to WWII or modern war (I’m a bit of a history buff). And as far as looks, I’m white, 6’0” with a slim-average build.
About what I’m looking for: ideally I’d like to find something long term but don’t want to force anything. Let’s chat and get to know each other and see what happens. I don’t necessarily have a type, I find attraction with a wide variety of people. So please don’t let age, height, weight, race, religion, style, gender identity, etc. prevent you from messaging me if you have read this far. I’m also open to finding someone from anywhere really. Long distance relationships don’t bother me, at least to start. Eventually I’d want to close the gap. I do enjoy someone who takes the lead in a relationship though, so female led or role reversal is ideal for me.

2025.02.02 03:51 alreadyconfused9 Unpopular opinion (?): Maryum was second best of season 1
I just rewatched season 1 and i have to say this is some of the worst cast we have had. I feel like zach was the only one that fully understood the assignment and played the part well. But another thing i noticed was the unprecedented (imo) amount of criticism Maryum got- i actually enjoyed her on this season and felt like she did a good job. She got annoying at times with the whole muhammad ali is my dad thing but sometimes i kind of understood where she was coming from, like when the news broadcast came on with him in it i could see how that would be stressful. If they showed a pic of her, although unlikely, she would probably be jumped on the spot. The short yellow bus comment was also totally out of pocket but i think she was genuine in her apology and just misspoke especially considering she said her brother was also mentally disabled
Nonetheless i felt like she was definitely the best of the females for this season. I could not STAND barbara and had to actually skip most of her scenes. The whole "black foot stomping on the american flag" argument was fucking absurd. Like what are you the president? Not to mention the "maybe im the new podboss" arc and how upset she got when people took her friend's stuff after she left for rehab. What else exactly are they supposed to do? Make a shrine and pray she flunks out of rehab to come back to prison and get her shit? Tami was a wreck from the moment she walked in to the moment she left its not even worth recapping her experience.
I like how maryum actually helped the other inmates further their education and listened to their stories. She was good at controlling some of their conflicts. Also, this is a nepo baby who im sure grew up very privledged and still volunteered to go to jail and treated all the other inmates with respect despite their differences. It really seemed like she wanted to advocate for them and cared for them.

Long time user, first time poster. I’ve been reluctant to share my story because I don’t trust that I’m out of the woods but there’s something I want to share. I’ve smoked heavily for 30 years. Since quitting my sleep has been fitful to say the least. At first I had Nightmares that shook me to my core. After those subsided, maybe a month in, distressing dreams continued where I would wake up stressed and triggered. The past month or so a new pattern developed where I would wake 5-6 times a night, the first time about 10 minutes after I had fallen asleep. Here’s the good news- on day 87 I had the best sleep of my adult life. Same on 88 and then 89. I’ve never felt so good. Today is day 90. I can’t wait to sleep tonight. Keep going my people, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Profile -EWS NEM ( 9.6/7.5/7.8) ( 15 months work ex, still working, 2 gap years after 12th) i scored 92 without solid preparation but couldn't clear quants sectional, so was only eligible for Cap. I know all IIMs are difficult to get into but my heart wants me to try one more time with full preparation. Am I taking a huge risk at this age of mine or should I just join any tier 2 college ?

 | Kind of a crazy day. Went to my gym for the first time in a few months only to find out they closed and moved my membership to a gym 8 minutes away. Just so happened the Safeway in the same shopping center had a Pokemon vending machine.
