2024.11.24 22:39 BrokeFool What are your thoughts on modern harem/polygamy anime?
Used to be a "harem anime" was about one guy who had lots of girls wanting him and he has to pick one. But now more and more titles feature literal harems where the guy marries a bunch of girls. What's your opinion on this jump?
From a creative standpoint I think it's a complete cop-out. The guy picking the girl he loves most was a processes that involved struggles that he has to overcome to make his choice. Now he doesn't need to make a choice and gets to bang all the chick's with no repercussions.
We all know the pain of our favorite girl losing, but I find that preferable to her becoming just another notch on his bed post. She deserves to find happiness with someone who will devote themselves solely to her.
Morally I'm an old-fashioned sort who believes in monogamy. Any guy willing to sleep around is a scumbag in my book who deserves a Nice Boat. I find claims he "loves everyone equally" to be dubious at best. If he could only save one of them he'll save the one he loves most.
I'm just talking in the confines of anime, of course. If you're in a poly relationship and it works, more power to you.

Hi all! I'll make this short answer sweet. I am applying for a summer nursing internship and need to rank which units (1-3) I want to be placed/interviewed for.
Some background info: I am interested in intensive care and becoming a CRNA one day. I volunteer at the children's hospital as well.
I know that my first choice is going to be CVICU. I need help deciding my second and third choices. I can choose between SNICU, MICU, and PICU for my second and third choices. I have had problems with my game audio for about a month now...I have a steelseries arctis 7+ which works Perfectly with all other games and apps I use on my PC. I normally use discord an never have problems with sound. When I start playing bo6 this is what my audio sounds like for all of the incoming audio. When I tab out of the game my discord sounds suddenly go back to normal, but as soon as I tab back into the game this is what I have to listen to...It is really ruining the whole experience and has left me with headaches on multiple occasions. I have tried looking over and over and nothing seems to fix my problem...I really just want to play the game and would really appreciate any help

I've had enough interest from you guys on the last couple of posts so as promised, here is the next update!
My account has now risen to 320 followers (at the time of writing), after only 7 days of activity. Pretty excited about that! Check it out @swol_mindset
The giveaway has blown up and is definitely my main source of followers now. While the CPM for using it as an ad was near double the other posts I've tried, the conversion rate to followers is actually even higher than double, so I've moved all my ad budget into that one (you can see the giveaway post pinned on the account if you're interested).
All in all, I've had about 80 people enter the giveaway, each of which has tagged two of their gym buddies. Quick math will tell us that's potential 240 new engaged users.
In the organic content side, results have been positive, but inconsistent. My posts on average have been receiving 10-15 likes, 1-2 comments and 6-7 shares, however I've had a few posts eclipse 100 likes which is great!
Due to my ad targeting and now that I'm over 100 followers, my demographics are telling me that the majority of my followers are from the US, UK and Australia, with some from India and Turkey. I'm keen to keep it so that it's primarily western audiences as that will help when I move to the monetization phase.
Anyway that's today's update! It looks like my following is increasing by roughly 100-120 per day atm. My next update will hopefully be when I crack 500!

Going to try to keep this simple and stick to facts and figures, sorry if I miss that mark.
S2bx was on minimum wage, but took a promotion during maternity leave and on returning to work would have earnt £28k, im still on minimum wage. We’ve a house together, after it’s sold we’ll be left with £230k. Were together 9 years.
We have one child under 1, she took them with her when she left and moved across the country. I don’t see much success in challenging custody stuff, it’s likely she’ll end up with 100% or near 100% custody.
She is now out of work, having not gone back after maternity ended, she’s currently not looking for work as she needs to look after our child.
She’s living with her parents, I’m now in a house share.
Whilst together our child was going to go to nursery to enable her to work, this is something I’d be happy to pay towards, but she isn’t considering atm, she clearly wants to be a sahm until they hit school age, when I think she hopes to take part time work.
Any ideas on a fair split? I found properties that I believe were suitable for each of us in the £180 range, using her last job she’d get a mortgage that would reach that (as would I) if we split it close to 50:50, however using the sahm logic, she’s not going to get any real mortgage offers. There are no other assets worthy of the name.
