My Atwood aluminum water heater started leaking. I can’t find where the water is coming from. It doesn’t appear to be from the fittings. It’s from 2016 what are the odds the tank failed? Looks like I can get a new tank for like $75 should I just drain it and pull it to see what’s happening?

Context: I, (97, M) and my wife (18, F) are very happy. Well, we were. I found out that I had impregnated my wife of 16 years, I scrambled to solve the issue. I ripped the fetus off of the umbilicle cord the moment it was born, and threw it on the floor and stomped on its head. Then I proceded to shove my wife's face in it. I forced a majority of it down her gullet and made her swallow it. But hear me out: my wife had cancer. And the only thing to cure her cancer was stem cells. However, I didnt know this at the time, but stem cells are only derived from unborn fetuses. My wife's cancer actually did get better, but she insists this was not the inciting incedent. She still blames me for killing her baby, but I dont see how its my fault. AITA?
TL;DR: My wife had cancer so I killed our newborn.

Considering that we expect equal amounts of matter and anti-matter to have been created during the big bang, but observations show we have more matter now, lead me to this question: What is the evidence that indicates we have approximately equal amounts of protons and electrons in the universe? What is the maximum possible charge this evidence does NOT eliminate?
If there we an excess of say.. electrons, I’d expect they would repel each other, leading to a fairly-evenly distribution of them around the cosmos, most in the void between galaxies, with slightly higher concentrations near gravitational bodies like galaxies; just enough to counter the relatively tiny effect of gravity. (I assume an excess of protons would behave similar, but with higher concentration near gravitational bodies, because they are more massive.) With a relatively even distribution of these charged particles (compared to clumps of neutral matter), I don’t think we would observe any large scale electric fields; they would cancel out in every direction.
Obviously, we are unable to detect if there is ONE more electron than protons in the entire observable universe, or even a billion, but can we compute a maximum-possible charge of the observable universe, given our current observations? And, what ARE those observations that rule out higher values?

Instead, he sat there, small and insignificant, waiting for the girl to see him, to be noticed, to be fed. But he starved there. Between those two frames, never to return to the life he once had. I’m just reviewing for a third time my required essay and I was wondering if it’s worth to do the optional essay’s some colleges give u, does it affect my application in some kind of way? It gives me more scholarships opportunities or something?
I feel like my main essay is really strong along with my high school transcript and GPA, and to be honest I don’t really wish to write 3 or 4 more essays that are optional unless it’s worth it… what should I do??

I have 2 job offers on the table, and I’m looking for advice on which one is the better move. Both offers are in a MCL areas in the same region and it seems like both have a good culture
1) boutique firm with $300M AUM, 40 employees. Associate advisor role starting at 80k plus benefits. The last several advisors hired by this firm have hit $120k-$200k within 4 years due to the firm’s strong in-house advertising. All clients belong to the firm, and I don’t know for sure if I’d be able to eventually become a partner.
2) solo practitioner under a national brokedealer looking to retire in 5-8 years. Starting base is $50k, and I’d be groomed to purchase his book (~$75M AUM).
I’m a career changer with a family, so I have a limited capacity to take a huge pay cut from my current income (~$120k) without significant lifestyle changes. I have 8 years work experience in logistics planning and a non-finance degree from a top 20 university. Which offer is more favorable, and does my background give me any negotiating leverage for a higher starting base from offer 2?
I recognize there are many more factors than I’ve listed, but in the interest of maintaining anonymity and brevity, I tried to keep the summary short. Thanks for any insight or advice!

I had a song located locally on my computer, where the last 10 seconds would play on its own, 30 minutes apart. This is a serious security concern. I looked at the accessed time of the song in question it falsely says it was last accessed 8 hours ago. I played the song through Strawberry Music Player. ps ax ps aux provides entries that are too long. Coincidentally I've had situation where the cheap $8 mouse I bought, will double click on its own on right click. I use the left click far more often. Also the mouse scroller would sometimes go all the way down to the bottom. I thought the mouse was mechanically functioning, but this seems to be a potential cache issue. Any steps on trying to diagnose this would be appreciated. Being able to confirm the program that the played said audio file, but search engine isn't helping. My OS is Ubuntu 22 LTS with pipewire.
