I’m a 28-year-old male struggling with persistent hair loss and hoping to find some advice or insights. Apologies in advance for the long post, but I wanted to provide as much detail as possible.
My hair loss started in 2014 during a particularly stressful year at university. It began with significant shedding and then gradually slowed down, but I’ve continued losing density ever since. Over the past year, I’ve been using finasteride (2.5 mg three times a week) and topical minoxidil once a day (oral minoxidil caused side effects). However, I’ve seen no improvement in density or hydration—my hair remains weak, dry, and continues to fall.
Blood tests over the years have consistently shown high prolactin levels (above 30) and elevated cortisol. Platelets have occasionally been slightly below the normal range. I’ve also had elevated bilirubin levels, though Syndrome of Gilbert was ruled out and all additiinal tests indicate that my liver is functioning normally. Some doctors mentioned it could indicate inflammation or an autoimmune issue, but nothing conclusive has been found.
Recently, I started questioning whether my diagnosis of androgenetic alopecia might not tell the full story. My hair loss doesn’t fully match the Norwood scale—it’s mostly thinning at the crown without noticeable recession at the hairline. I’ve read about conditions like diffuse alopecia areata and even new research into prolactin-related hair loss treatments (like HMI-115), which made me wonder if there could be an underlying hormonal or autoimmune factor in my case.
The biggest challenge has been finding a doctor willing to dig deeper than the standard assumption of androgenetic alopecia. I’ve seen several dermatologists, including a well-regarded trichologist, but the approach always seems limited to the same treatments: finasteride, minoxidil, and hair transplants, which I’m not considering at this stage.
I’m curious if anyone here has faced similar struggles or has insights into less common causes of hair loss. Are there specific tests or treatments I should consider? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about this as a theory since about S03E08. My theory was that all living people in the town are reincarnated throughout multiple lives and are always going to end up in the town until they can stop the cycle, because they were part of the initial sacrifice of the 7 Anghkooey children.
I feel like S03E10 confirms this through Tabitha's revelation that she was Miranda and Jade was Christopher etc... even explaining that one of the 7 children were hers and Jade's (which I assume to be the initial cycle of events that began the whole thing).
From this I deduce that ALL the residents of Fromvillle are reincarnated residents of the initial incident that lead to the towns creation. As for the other 6 Anghkooey children, who knows, maybe one of them is the child of Ethan and Donna, or Dale and Sara, or Marielle and Tian-Chen. That is something we don't know yet... or might never know.
Something we DO know though, is that the inhabitants of Fromville seem to have specific archetypes, e.g. Christopher echoes Jade, and Miranda echoes Tabitha. This leads to two ideas I have about the identity of two other people:
I believe that the person who Victor talks about in S03E08 when he explains that the children were told a story that gave them hope before they were sacrificed is: ETHAN (in a previous life) - we know that Ethan is a storyteller and can be relied upon to bring hope in dire circumstances.
I also believe that Martin, the man chained in the dungeon is in fact: BOYD. When we take into account that Martin also has a tattoo confirming his affiliation with the Marines (like Boyd), as well as the fact that he had knowledge of Abby. Maybe it is possible that Martin/Boyd, similar to Tabitha and Jade can not only see his past lives, but also his future lives?
In summary, I believe that every person in the town is doomed to return until they either alter the past, or defeat the Man in Yellow.
