2024.11.25 13:50 Tilbrup Lightroom workflow : RAW + jpgs (I'm so lost after using it for more than 10 yrs )
Hello, after a few years of practice, Iām starting to question the way I work with Lightroom. In general, I try to limit my post-processing as much as possible since I donāt particularly enjoy it and prefer focusing on taking photos.
Hereās my issue: I shoot in both JPEG and RAW. Iām struggling to figure out how to organize my backups. Up until now, Iāve been keeping my JPEGs straight out of the camera (SOOC) and my RAW files in two separate folders. I would then import the RAWs into Lightroom and edit them if needed. However, I feel like this creates redundancy when exporting edited JPEGs because I end up with two sets of JPEGs: the SOOC ones and the edited ones.
In short, Iām a bit lost and looking to start fresh with a better workflow. Whatās your process? Thanks!

This is an update on my last post.
Thanks for all the advice on how to tell the Barber what haircut I want. I got it done last week. I used a picture of what I wanted. My mom also told the barber that I have autism and the barber only used Scissors to cut my hair except for at the very end, which was good because I don't like clippers. Overall it went well.

2024.11.25 13:50 ahliahlaurenn what to do about an ex/best friend that is planning on asking me out again even though iāve said i donāt want to be in a relationship?
okay so me and a best friend of mine dated at the start of the year but it didnāt work bcs as soon as we got together i realised how romantically incompatible we are despite being really close friends.
fast forward to now and despite him swearing up and down that heās not into me he continues to throw signals at me that he wants something more again. he keeps asking me for horrifically specific dating advice despite saying itās not about me even though he literally does not speak to any other women (no exaggeration), heās constantly trying to cuddle with me under the label of it being platonic and a hug (even though itās literally cuddling), he tries to do it any time we sit next to each other even when itās inconvenient to do so (like on the bus) and granted i do let him but it honestly makes me uncomfortable bcs i know for a fact itās definitely not coming from a platonic place at all.
heās always bringing up relationships and how heās just āwaiting for the right momentā and so many other things about his ideal relationship dynamic and every time he says stuff like this i tell him that relationships arenāt a priority for me and i donāt want to be in one right now but i donāt know why from what heās told me it seems like he thinks i mean i just donāt want one right this moment? like no means no ykwim?
but where the issue gets more complicated is that i like him too and he may have picked up on that but i also recognise that not only is he not fully my type but also he misses some key boxes that i would need in a partner, the biggest one being that he sees relationships as his missing piece despite my best efforts to encourage him to actually heal from his past trauma instead of trying to fill it with a girlfriend.
from what heās told me heās planning to ask me on a date soon and iām dreading it because heās quite a sensitive guy, heās hyped it up a lot in his head and i really donāt want to hurt his feelings but iām nervous to bring it up because i feel like heāll just deny that heās been talking about me even though it couldnāt be more obvious if he tried. also something to mention is that iām autistic so i think that despite me trying to be clear on the fact that asking me on a date would be a bad idea i have definitely dealt with this wrong and sent him some signals that feed into his plausible deniability.
so sorry that this is long but itās so complicated and i really didnāt know how to shorten it, any help would be appreciated šš¼šš¼šš¼šš¼
