[Certina] DS-4 Manual Wound I was ablte to get hold of this beautiful Certina DS-4 on an online auction for 99 USD. No service information, but runs well for the age of the watch. (40-60 seconds fast per day, of course I will take it to a service.)
Reference number: 854 1430 41
The reason why I’m reaching out is that I was unable to find any reasonable infromation on this specific reference, and somebody might able to help me out.
I found a site called vintagecertinas.ch which has the specifications for this movement, and they have some catalogs scanned on the site as well, but I was unable to find this exact reference in any catalogs. The 1977 Dealer’s Brochure has a reference called 854 1410 41, but it has only DS printed on the dial, not DS-4. The next catalog scanned is from 1980, and that has a 738 1430 41 reference as DS-4 but that’s a quartz watch. So my best guess is that this watch could be made in between 1978 and 1980.
If you have any other infromation about vintage Certina DS-4 watches, and how those are different from the DS and DS-2 watches, please let me know in the comments. Thanks.
(Reference number explanation: 854 is the Certina 854-1 hand wound movement, 1430 is the case shape, 41 is the material code, in this case stainless steel.)

2024.11.25 13:34 Over-Needleworker998 Angry Rant about the state of the game. Salt Content is high

Like the title says honestly. Im just sick to death of the game fighting my enjoyment. Made so much worse by Deadpools Diner. Just for an example : my latest match has just been the last straw.
Be me. Winning the match against a destroy deck, got Armor down to block his Deadpool ramp. Then turn 5 happens. Strange Academy takes my 2 cards and sends them both to the same location. Im playing a Surtur deck. Opponent has barely anything on the field but drops Shang Chi and wins. My locations had 0 - 2 - 3 and then went 2 - 0 - 3. All because the RNG decided to not work in my favor.
Now dont get me wrong, it happens I get it. It would just be an 8 cube loss, rough but totally manageable. Id get a bit salty but thats it, RNG can be mean. Normally id just shrug it off and play another.
Except, i cant. Because its the damned Diner. So I have now lost my Bubs because what seemed like a sure win, totally went south on turn 6 with ZERO interaction from either player. And now im blocked from playing for an hour just because. Thats a disgustingly anti player tactic, lets not forget though, they are happy to sell bubs for money. Bubs that will not carry over to anything, bubs that arent worth ANYTHING but they are more than happy to slap a popup onto any loss. Fuck you Second Diner Studio, seriously fuck you.
This has gone too far now for me. It was already bad enough that every single location seems to be designed to strip any enjoyment from the game. It was bad enough that every time a decent new meta starts, SDS smash it into the ground. It was bad enough that they keep including strong cards in the season pass only to nerf them IMMEDIATELY AFTER (Agent Venom went from a fantastic card to complete garbage). It was bad enough that they released packs for up to £100 but now we can have our ability to play removed by RNG.
I have put money into this game because i liked it. I enjoyed this game and pushed for people to play with. I am sad to see another good game go south over greed. The developers have no interest in the players other than to milk them dry. Deadpools Diner is 100% proof. It was a mode that was not well received, designed merely to link with the movie, and they decided to......change nearly nothing and just shove it back in.
I get that im ranting. I know a lot of you wont agree. I dont care anymore. Im sick of it all. Sick of seeing people defend companies doing shit like this and sick of it happening. I know this wont change a damn thing either. My only choice is to either suck it up or stop playing a game I enjoy because of the shit i have to go through first.

I'm afraid of the world and if my parents went away I'd be up shits creek without a paddle. I'd be even more desperate than I am right now.
My parents can't get me a girlfriend. I have to push through my anxiety and meet someone. To quote Gary Burr, "love is out there but you have to go get it. It's not going to come to you. Love will find someone else."
As for the sadistic persecutors who were getting pleasure from my suffering - which has been etched into my psyche making me afraid of the world - that was the bullies from middle and high school. They traumatized me and made me so terrified of the world. I blame my parents - but the true monsters were THE BULLIES.

Now because i see a lot of keitai flip phones, i wanna hear your guys rankings since you guys are already well versed to this and as a guy who wanna get into japanese flip phones specifically i wanna know and learn what's the best opts for me and for the future of my brain
So i am here and asking you guys what's the best for me.
-i like taking photos and videos (seldomly, when i see something snappable i try and capture it to reminisce the moment)
-also I'd prefer if it was running on a more recent android (preferably android 8-10)
and that's about it, I'm really keen on the camera part though because i watched a review on the SHARP AQUOS 601SH and i was surprised at the camera quality especially the video.

CAT 2024 was easy. After studying algebra from east to west because 2023 paper was algebra heavy, i thought this time it will be the same. But seeing the paper so easy was a SHOCK. I got to attempt only overall 31 questions. Trust me NMAT is being made difficult. Whats happening this time is they are making CAT easy and OMETS difficult. SNAP will be very undoable too as well as XAT, and NMAT too, judging from the reviews, is more on the lenghty sides on quants. So be careful before considering XAT and SNAP.

I recently requested a refund from Varia because I didn’t receive my order. The shipping company they used, SF Express, has been either negligent or outright shady. They’re charging me incorrect tax rates and refusing to deliver the package.
For those interested, the commodity code for this product is 7215900090. You can verify on the UK government website that the import duty rate is 0%, and VAT should only be 20%.
Despite multiple emails informing SF Express of this, they continue to demand inflated rates of 20% and 25%, bringing the total charge to nearly £140.
Thankfully, I managed to find the grinder at a similar price from another seller in Europe, thanks to Black Friday deals.
Now, I’m waiting for Varia to respond to my refund request and hoping I’ll enjoy this grinder eventually because, so far, it’s been a nightmare.

I'm mostly troubled by doing the swoosh and I'm not sure if there's a tool that would help with this. I also saw also some using pipettes- similar to icing a cake.
