 | Merry is 3 years old, and he has a brother, Pippin, that just took off one day and didn't come back home. We looked everywhere for him, but we didn't find him. That was 2 month ago, and Merry was really depressed for some time, until we managed to get him back on his paws thanks to constant cuddles and switching to wet food (and of course many snacks given with some ear scratching). A relative of mine recently passed away. This person left all of us some money when they passed. I’m in line to get about 5 times the amount of any other relative. My sister took photos of all the bank information and sent it to all the relatives. I’m upset because non of them need to know my amount. She also said that they would’ve found out anyways. Which isn’t true because one of the accounts was in a separate bank that no one knew of, but me. I don’t like them knowing because I know how greedy they are. AIO?

Since a post I read pretty much sums up the details of my question and is why I'm asking this, I'm quoting it.
I am curious of the Calvinist and Reformed Christianity on mortification of the flesh through painful physical torture such as fasting, self-flagellation, tatooing, cutting one's wrist, waterboarding oneself in blessed water, and carrying very heavy objects such as cross replication for miles with no rest or water? And other methods of self-harm so common among Catholic fundamentalists done to test their faith and give devotion to Jesus?As someone baptised Roman Catholic, I know people who flagellate themselves and go through months have fasting with no food along with a day or two without drinking water. So I am wondering what is Judaism's position on corporal mortification acts especially like cutting yourself with a knife and fasting?

I started playing the first game a few days ago and have gotten pretty far but i was wondering what stats i should prioritise, i get that it’s based on playstyle. i play very aggressive and use a lot of runic attacks. i also like to keep my distance if i can. i’m guessing i need to get strength and runic high, anything else i should focus on.

 | Got a good mixture of perlite and cactus soil along with a sprinkle of seed starter mix. Got the oven set for 300. I’m gonna run into town and pick up some distilled water and spray bottle. I’m going to put a command strip on bottom of the container and stick to my window seal. I’m going to cut dividers out of some lids from Takeaway containers. I’ll probably sow about 30 to 40 seeds. Whatever I can reliable keep up with so I won’t end up with any NOIDs! Hi all, I've been playing a mix of bots and humans daily on OGS for past couple pf years. Appreciate the benefits of playing vs humans rather than bots but sometimes just use bots. I notice they've changed their quick match settings and now have much less parameters. Every time I play bots on 5m per move settings I end up losing on timeout after about 20 mins (I usually take about 2-10 seconds per move max), is there any way now of playing a bot on simple time settings any more?

I am writing a story set in a fictional world based on the Victorian era, and my main character is a Professor at a prestigious university. He doesn't come from a background of poverty, but his parents were not rich. He was able to become a Professor through his own hard work.
Anyway, I've done a bit of Googling to find out how Professors may have lived in the Victorian era, but can't find much. I've read about Sir John Soane, however it seems his main source of income was as an architect, rather than as a Professor.
I'd like to know what their living situation was like. Would they live on university grounds? Would they earn enough money to live on their own or would they be in a boarding house? Would they be able to afford staff if they live on their own? What would the interior of their houses be like? I imagine it isn't going to be filled with expensive pieces. It's difficult to find anything about people who lived in that in-between kind of life, like the middle class. Any info would be appreciated.

How long did it take for you to regain feeling in your chin and the inside of your mouth, on the gums?
I had jaw surgery in July to correct an overbite. My lower jaw was moved forward by 7mm. It’s now almost 4/5 months later, and the feeling on the left side still hasn’t fully returned. When can I expect it to come back? It does tingle when I touch it, so it’s not completely numb—I would even say it’s overly sensitive. It’s not a pleasant feeling.

Does anyone else get this unpleasant feeling of butterflies in the pit of the stomach from quitting caffeine? I can live with other symptoms, but this one is really driving me nuts. This is my second attempt. I quit caffeine for about 1.5 months a few years ago when I was going through some stressful stuff and I got this feeling in my stomach back then as well. It was constant and I attributed it to anxiety. It dissipated within minutes when I had coffee one morning. I didn’t realize that it might have been due to my withdrawal, but now thinking back, I think that’s what it was.
