Agh ata sijui text anyways lemme give yall the rundown so boom! Its last weekend and I’m from class and i get home,feed my cat and start my evening routine which is: look good,smoke some za with the door open(and my cats friend comes in to eat too) and set the vibe for the evening: this time i pictured myself looking like an old hollywood bombshell who’s migration to the city to follow her dreams is not going as expected as her past is slowly creeping in on her and she swiftly learns that you cannot outrun yourself . Anyways i put on the music and get to it and the stray comes to visit my cat and they have fun..smelling eachother¿ idk whatever they do, and SHWA! I see a shadow walk past me. But it was not shwa! Like it walked fast, it just came into my periphery Kumbe its my neighbor! And like its graduation season and this is a student apartment complex so people move in and out quickly-i had never seen this guy! And tbh my first reaction was oh ig someone moved🙁 BUT THEN‼️ he gasped and croaked out a ‘hi’…heeeeee I looked at his posture and he looked awkward asl as he quickly walked past me but sasa where i live its the last house of our floor so he’d have to walk past me AGAIN to get to his house…and that he did. Na vile niliona akishakeshake wallahi niliskia shetani akiwhisper in my ear😔 nikammark🙂↕️🤞🏾 In the words of idk budha: veni vidi vici-i came I saw and i will conquer 🤞🏾 Nikazima za nikaingia home. The next day I dont see him again and yesterday when I was coming back from a walk we had a small chat and then later he came asking for salt and I risked it threw in a kalittle kahint as a joke🤣and this time it landed Alhamdulillah 🙂↕️🤞🏾 Anyways i think i am close to closing this deal but before then, i need a second opinion: naskianga its risky to nomnomnom your neighbors ,that its too much drama and esp with this femicide thing going on I’m genuinely worried yk?

2024.11.25 14:34 Maleficent_Field_397 Is It OK That I Took Personal Time When I Was Angry?
TL;DR Executive Directors caused two days of my work to be lost without consulting with me, now one of them is holding it against me because I walked out and took a couple of personal days.
Background: State Reporting Specialist at a public school district board office, non-union state. Been there almost 20 years. I have an immediate supervisor (Boss 1) who works under another person (Boss 2).
Boss 1 is amazing. The only downside is that what I do is very complicated and not in her wheelhouse, so she sometimes isn’t able to advocate for me as well as she might if she understood it more. But she pulls me in to advise when necessary.
Boss 2 is decidedly not amazing. He’s not stupid. He just doesn’t understand how what we do works and doesn’t take the time to gather relevant information, because why bother? He’s our Executive Director.
Over the years, I’ve taken on more tasks than are on my job description because nobody else knew how to do them or they just fit with my other work. Also, most of my work is based on state reporting requirements, which have doubled over the time I’ve been here. I’ve had fairly regular state raises and they’ve re-done our salary schedules a few times, which bumped me up, but no job reclassifications or promotions.
I’ve been telling everyone who has any position of authority for years that the Executive Directors at the district tell the schools to do things that mess up our state reporting without consulting with me, and without even telling me that they’re doing it. I find out about changes they’ve made when a principal calls me and asks for help, because the EDs don’t know enough about it to tell them how to do whatever they want them to do. Boss 1 and I have asked over and over to be included in these things. We have also both asked multiple times for my job to be re-classified because of the extra responsibility and they just ignore my requests. Like literally just never give me an answer and ignore it if I email to follow up on a conversation.
Current Situation: This last reporting period, the same thing happened again. After the deadline for changes to be made, I started doing my data entry to prepare for signing off. I get a call from a school asking what they’re supposed to be changing. I tell them they’re not supposed to be changing anything because we’ve already moved on to the next part, and they tell me an ED told them they needed to do it. I immediately get off the phone with them, call Boss 2 (because Boss 1 is out of the office dealing with an issue at home) and tell him about the phone call. I tell him in no uncertain terms that because they’ve made changes, they’ve gone over the data entry I just did and he needs to tell the EDs to back off because they’re messing stuff up. I’m livid at this point and there’s absolutely no way to hide it.
Next, I text Boss 1 a quick explanation of the situation and tell her I’m leaving. I go past Boss 2’s office to talk to him on the way out but he’s on the phone, so I stick my head in his office, wave and tell him I’m leaving. I go home and put in for 2 days of personal time. Boss 1 calls me to get an update and I give her more detail, tell her I’m taking the next 2 days to have a long weekend for myself and I’ll be back at it next week to start fixing what got broken as well as I can. Ultimately, there’s no way I can catch everything, but I did the best I could and had to spend 2 days going through about 2000 students’ information one-by-one to fix things. Life moved on, yada yada.That was about 1.5 months ago.
Cut to this past week, I’ve finally run out of patience and insisted on having an answer from Boss 2 - if they want me to keep doing work that’s beyond my scope, they need to put me in a position that includes that and require the EDs to involve me in decisions being made about state reporting. Otherwise, I’m happy to do the job that I was hired to do, but I’m not taking on all the other responsibilities. My job is to support and I will just support. Predictably, they’re not going to change my position. Instead, they’re going to move me out from under Boss 1 to be under someone else, because that’s magically going to fix it. Whatever. At least I finally got them to give me an answer one way or another but I lose Boss 1, who is one of the best things about my job.
Here’s where my leaving comes into play. During the discussion, Boss 2 says he doesn’t like the way I handled things that day when I “stormed out” and that I can’t do that. In my opinion, yes, I can. I had personal time available. I told my bosses I was leaving. I didn’t cuss at anyone, scream, flip anyone off, punch people in the face, squeal my tires pulling out…I just left. I was pissed and I had nothing productive to do or say at that point. Nobody had to do any of my work. I came back the next week, picked up the pieces and got back to work. Boss 1 was totally understanding, my coworkers in my department had my back, I wasn’t reprimanded in any way.
So, how do people feel about that? On one hand, I’m sort of sorry-not-sorry. You can’t just keep doing that to people over and over and expect them not to react, and when they do, give them the disappointed face. Leaving was the very best thing I could do for myself in that moment and I did. Does that make me not cut out for a better position? Is it on me to figure out how to do something different? It may not have been the most professional response but it’s all I felt like I could do at that point to not lose my shit. I’d love some honest feedback.

Guys I swear I have read the FAQs but it still unclear to me.
Last month I signed up for the Pro subscription at regular rate, I use Letterboxd on my iPhone so I paid and subscribed through iOS.
Currently there is a sala going on and I am considering upgrading to Patreon, I would like to contribute to the app and team + posters seem addicting lol.
I cannot however understand how the upgrade works. I see I can subscribe through the app on my profile, but does it cancel the Pro subscription and refund the amount I paid? Or will I lose that money + money for Patreon? Does the counter of 365 days start over?
