Hi, everyone!
I have been employed at a nonprofit hospital since 3/11/2013. I was full time and then switched to PRN (in healthcare this means you work when there is a need) in August 2022 because I had a baby.
So just to keep track, full time status at the nonprofit was from 3/2013-8/2022. I have a masters degree in occupational therapy, and that is where my student loans are from. I recently received a payment count, and I’m at 104/105 out of 120 payments. In late 2019, I was getting my doctorate degree but still working full time. Without my request, I was put into forbearance. I remember receiving an email from fed loan saying that since they noticed I was in school, they were going to put me into forbearance. I didn’t ask for this.
Now, since I was put into forbearance, I missed 6 months of payments. Should I bother requesting buyback or contesting the payment count progress towards pslf? Will contesting that forbearance period even count? According to the FSA website, my payment count is updated as of 9/25/2024.
I’m so close to the finish line, and since I’m close, I’m planning to go back to work full time at this same hospital so I can get the forgiveness. 6 months is 6 months, and I’m so beyond ready to move on from my nonprofit hospital job and into something else. Covid did quite a number on me and my career.

I have a decently big screened in porch and big doors going out and we like people to be able to go back and forth between inside and porch but gets dirty and dusty out there. I sweep and mop but it's a pain to do regularly
Wondering if there's a wet vac or scrubber mopper machine that wouldn't be too expensive or big (maybe just size of a regular vacuum maximum?) that could make this an easier process
The floor of the porch is large tile and pretty smooth, no big gaps between tile or anything
I've seen some things that may work but either huge or expensive or bad reviews so would love help

So, we know eventually we’ll get another Friday and Nightmare movie, and whether we want it or not, a 14th Halloween movie. I was wondering what people would want to see for F13. I know what i’d like for Halloween and Nightmare but not F13.
For Halloween: Either the anthology route or a remake/retelling set in the 70’s or 80’s with a new set of characters (Absolutely no Laurie Strode). A movie bathed in suspense and fall atmosphere. Make the shape a phantom like stalker again but have good kills, too. Absolutely no sooner than 2028 as it’s the 50th anniversary.
Nightmare: I think a tv series could work. A Nightmare on Elm Street meets season 1 of True Detective. Retell the story and make Freddy the Springwood Slasher feel like a real serial killer and Freddy the dream demon feel like that nightmare you had decades ago that you still remember because it was so horrifying.
Friday: No idea what would work. Any ideas?

Prior to this election, my husband and I were talking about retiring in the next 5 years. We could, theoretically exist on our retirement and other savings with our current finances, but our lifestyle would be drastically changed and our main concern was how we'd pay for medical expenses (he's had a transplant).
If we didn't have kids in the US, I'd be leaving now. Jack Smith dropping charges against Trump is, to me, a red line that says this guy really can get away with anything and I have lost faith in both parties. We don't have a democracy and I want to move to a country that is actually democratic. The US is pretty low on this list:

The problem is the kids. My daughter is 19 and in her second year in college. Our oldest son is married and expecting his first child, and our middle son is 21 and still not grown and flown. An alternative way of looking at it is that I could build a home base in a new country before we lose our wealth and the kids could emigrate later if they need to. For what it's worth, we are a blended family and they all have another family that is still here they could rely on (they just don't - they come to us).
Help me make sense of how to calculate the risks here. This is truly a terrifying time.
