Hi sorry if this is too basic of a question. I would like to try to play around with a model locally but I have no idea where to begin ^^; I'm not tech illiterate but this is way outside my usual ballpark. I'm stuck on a older laptop right now (GTX 1650, 16GB RAM), which I know isn't ideal. I'm mainly intrested in using it for roleplay/storytelling. I have gotten a bit frustrated with some that I have tried online because because they seem to forget what has happened earlier in our chat or the ai will act out of character. I know that ai can't be perfect but I would like it to at least have a somewhat consistent writing style and personality. Any help would be much appreciated!

If we are playing a scale, is the fingering the same as a violin (as in one finger per note). Or is it more similar to the guitar (as in one finger per fret) as a basic guide.
Take for example an E major scale on string 1 going up to the 4th (notes: e f# g# a)
Would it be… Violin fingering: 0 1 2 3 Or Guitar fingering 0 1 3 4

2024.11.25 21:33 HamPlanter Came across a tool on this subreddit called TryTelescope Ai, it was super helpful thank you. I connected it to perplexity to deep dive more.
I’ve been doing market research specifically on TAM studies for my client, to drive a calculation for a projected valuation. Never realized a sales tool can help me make it accurate.
I saw some posts on how to connect perplexity ai to it. So I used TryTelescope ai to build a TAM list of people, then run it via perplexity to determine buying power as a score for each person, then took an average across for the overall calculation.
I know I went down a rabbit hole for this, but honestly fun to explore these ai tools and see the accuracy it can generate in complex projections.

Hey everybody. Make yourself comfortable as I invite you to my inner torment! Lol
So I'm a 27 year old guy and I'm pretty much what you'd expect from a guy on this sub. I'm stuck at home with parents, never had anything close to a relationship, no prospects, no future, no self-confidence, socially anxious, poor, hopeless, awkward, bad childhood, etc, you get the point.
I did finally get a job this year after about 2 years of unemployment, but it's only part-time and I have to stay on Universal Credit (Welfare), because my mum charges me £300 a month for rent, not including food. I don't mind paying rent, but it's so stifling to basically give up all of my money each month and having nothing left for things I enjoy. We also live in the countryside, so I am extremely isolated and I have to rely on a bus that only runs twice a day. Which restricts my employability significantly and I've been rejected because of it, and I can't do anything in town after 5:00PM.
I went to university a few years ago, but it was a disaster (Covid and a mental downward spiral that started before it) and I've been on anti-depressants ever since (Will be 5 years soon). I also volunteer in a charity shop, but it doesn't really make me feel better and social interactions have always felt incredibly superficial and fleeting to me. I do want to move out but I'm afraid of how lonely I'll be. I also can't drive, as I can't afford it and I'm terrified of it, plus it's an absolute money pit that I'd like to avoid.
So why am I writing this? I guess I'm just screaming into the void hoping that someone else feels the same and understands. Thankfully I've never been drawn into the manosphere, because I truly hate that kind of apeish masculinity and I always have. But, it does feel like there really is nowhere for me to go, because I feel truly alienated. I feel too old to be like this and I feel like I'm carrying a shameful secret everyday. I've never found my people and I just don't know if I ever will and I just feel myself getting older everyday. I'm just too soft and sensitive for this world.
I could keep on going but I'll stop here. Feel free to vent your feelings in the comments and I'll try and think of something to reply with.

You see a lot of books out there about character animation but I always really craved one about other objects and elements. I did some digging and found a couple of books called Elemental Magic volume I and II by Joseph Gilland. If anyone else struggles with fire or other elements, I recommend those books.
