2024.11.25 19:20 Muted-Caterpillar699 New to OTF- Thoughts? Opinions? Is it worth the $?
Hi everyone! I’m 29 years old - planning a wedding soon - and have been working out for years! I’m in pretty decent shape. I started a new job and it requires travel so I’ve been looking into joining OTF. I love classes and my current local gym is hard to get to now. I did the trial and do wish there was more strength training involved… anyway,
What’s everyone’s thoughts? Do you have previous workout experience? I know a lot of people recommend this for people trying to start out so I wasn’t sure if this would be a good match for me - I just want some real raw truth about it.
Also 169 seems a little crazy but is it worth it?

2024.11.25 19:20 a_hidden_life I watched under Capricorn (1949)
So tonight i watched this sort of overlooked Hitchcock picture and imma share my letterboxd review here: Hitchcock films in mysterious ways...
In recent years it has become a tradition to watch a Hitchcock everytime I'm sick and here i am writing this with my throat killing me as usual...
Anyway to me this one is experimental Hitchcock because he's still trying to find his style and in this case he's going more towards theatrical acting,long monologues and much less suspense than what we expect from him..imma be honest and say that sort of took the wind out of the sails for me but still it worth a watch in my opinion.
The plot is quite lovely to me and it benefits from Bergman, wilding and cotton's great acting.. i mean there's noone outshining ingrid bergman when she plays some troubled yet kind-hearted lady! She's wonderful and also her partners.
The ending reminded me of "the man who shot liberty valance" where the gentleman caring lover does the "right" thing and brings her husband back to the woman who he's in love with and goes away.. it always warms my heart watching endings like this in a classic era film like that, i just dont see many ditectors capturing the essence of sacrifice through pictures anymore..love has become so self centered as i feel it but its just me i might be wrong idk!(That was a reminder of john Wayne burning down his house btw)
Overall it was a comfortable watch and fingers crossed I'll be back with another Hitchcock log but without any cold... (+ 'its_hadi' is me on letterboxd I'll be glad to add yall too)

I have been told by literally almost every woman in my life they have had several such experience of staredown by people in public, SINCE THEY WERE KIDS, Some even experienced weird touches in crowded places, not escapable staredowns, weird smirks, getting followed by vehicle purposefully, get whistled.. and MANY such stuff. Even guys this to me, me myself being a guy has experienced such as a kid.

Titlen forklare det egentlig ret godt synes jeg. Min kone og jeg er flyttet ud i et nedlagt landbrug, med stuehus, stald og lade.
Jeg overvejer kraftigt om vi skal have en form for alarm eller overvågningssystem, da vi ikke har nogle naboer og egentlig ligger ret godt puttet væk fra alle omkring os.
Jeg er ikke sådan helt hooked på ideen om alarm/overvågning på abonnement, simpelthen fordi jeg ikke bryder mig om ideen om at vores overvågningsvideoer ligger hos et eksternt firma, og fordi man har hørt et par skrækhistorier fra nogle firmaer der så live feed uden tilladelse.
Ligeledes er det der med at have eget heller ikke lige det mest tiltalende. Udstyret koster penge, både i køb, vedligehold og drift. Samt at hvis banditterne er kommet ind, så kan man jo lige så nemt risikere de ser udstyret med video materialet på og tænker "Fedt mand, mere elektronik vi kan afsætte!" og så står man jo uden noget at videregive til politi eller forsikringsselskab.
Hvad har folket? Og hvilke tanker og overvejelser gjorde I da I købte det?

I cannot for the life of me remember where I bought these shoes from but I know they are sold at Kohls. They are brand new never worn. Can I return them there if I didn’t buy them there? I know people do this all the time but is it technically allowed? What about ethically? Like the store will get the product and I will get my money back and they will resell the product. So is it technically a wash or is the store losing out on money?

Hoping this complies with the rules of not oops. I have seen various cool projects people have worked on including some tool restoration here. Something I have seen people post but not the wild where are people finding these £10 tools?
I have been looking on eBay primarily and I have seen some tools that are crusty and would be cool projects but they are also being sold for the same price as a brand spanking new one. Such as an £80 rebar with broken pliers and looking like they dug it out of their yard.
