I was playing the Black Ops 6 Campaign and noticed something while exploring The Rook. In the final room to get the code to open the safe in the upstairs, I realized that the poster here is from Infinite Warfare! It even says that it’s produced by Willard Willer. Not only that, but the comic on the table in this same room is a map from the same game: Attack of The Radioactive Thing! Has anybody else noticed this?

2024.11.25 21:30 EmptyStrings AAC apps with Personal Voice
My MIL was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year. She is 62 and unfortunately it seems to be fast progressing. She is now bed-bound (very little movement in her legs), she's about to get a feeding tube, and her voice is pretty severely affected.
We live across the country and we were just able to visit for the first time (we had a baby this summer right after they told us about the diagnosis). We are trying to help support them however we can but it's tough since we aren't there to interact with the doctors in person. My FIL is her main caregiver.
I want to get her set up with an AAC app but not sure where to start. She already has an ipad mini. I'm not sure if it's too late to get the Personal Voice on the iPad working. She can still talk some but it takes a lot of effort and she can pretty much just say a few words at a time, and the consonants aren't that clear. So I am hoping she will be able to complete the recordings over a few days and it works.
But what do we do after that? Which apps do we use it with? She can still use her hands okay. Typing on the phone is hard but she plays mobile games still so she could use an AAC I think. I've looked into it some but some of them are really expensive and don't have trials so it's hard to know if they'd work.
As a side note I have seen here on Reddit that the ALS organization could help. But I'm not sure how they get plugged into that. I asked FIL and he said they have monthly local meetings but he hasn't been to one yet.
Thank you for any advice. This disease sucks so much. Our son is her first grandchild and she is such a grandmotherly person. It's devastating that all our dreams of summers at grandma's house, first Disney trip, seeing her with our future kids will not come to pass. I am thankful she was able to hold our little one next to her in her hospital bed and he just learned how to belly laugh while we were visiting them. Small mercies.

Just wondering if anyone that works for Lowe's IT has any advice, feedback, opinions, for someone thinking of applying for an entry level IT position with Lowe's?
Currently already a remote employee, but going to school for BSBA with a focus in information management systems. Would this be a good starting point for a career with IT? Does Lowe's provide training for techs? What's the interview process like? Just give me a good idea of what I can expect, if you don't mind.

They were 7 years apart (he's 7 next month). It's been two weeks. While, he eats and drinks fine, he won't participate in any sort of play with me and gentle tag was his favorite. Early, my asexuality was suspected as underdevelopement, but now, i've come to terms of what it is. It's not like I've ever denied it tho. When i learned what asexuality was, i knew that was me. Sure, there was uncertainty, but after my research, i am proud to call myself a hetero-ace.
My friends don't mind it. I'm not met with any negative comments. On the other hand, i try to mention my orientation as least as possible, and i often have to stop my yapping self. Sure, there are some bad apples, but i just don't discuss it with them and avoid the topic, since it has nothing to do with our relation.
While i am single, i like it that way, despite my romantic orientation. But only temporarily. I just don't think such special person has a space in my life right now and i need to make that place first.
Ace pride is important! Remember, the greatest battle you will ever fight is the one where you battle for who you are. Keep fighting and don't let yourself loose. Life has many obstacles and even non-aces don't have it different. As i personally say: "If life keeps being f$%ked up, you gotta squeeze joy out of the smallest things".

I recently noticed that the series Godot from Zero to Proficiency by Patrick Felicia has been added to Audible and wondered if anyone had had any experience with them or other Godot Audiobooks?
I am aware that Audiobooks are not the best way to learn software and coding. When time allows I am currently working my way through the excellent material on Gdquest but my job involves being on the road a lot and I love audiobooks and podcasts and thought this might be a useful extra way to immerse myself in the terminology and language of Godot.
Any thoughts much appreciated
