I'm a 30-year-old looking to start a new career in graphic design. I've always been interested in design, but never had the chance to pursue it. Now, I'm eager to learn and start working as a freelancer.
I'm not comfortable with the idea of a 9-to-5 job, as I value my independence and can't tolerate dominancy. Freelancing seems like the perfect fit for me.
Here are my questions:
- Where do I start? What are the essential skills and software I need to learn?
- Can I learn graphic design on my own without doing practical jobs? I want to build a career as a freelancer as soon as I'm done with learning.
- What are the best resources (online courses, tutorials, books) for learning graphic design?
- How do I create a strong portfolio and profile on platforms like Fiverr to attract clients?
Edit: I'm looking to learn graphic design from scratch, so any recommendations for beginner-friendly resources would be great!

Hi, I have just bought a 350z which has Eibach lowering springs on it (unsure which ones, the receipt the previous owner provided only say Eibach springs) but they are just too low for every day use (have torn the skin of the resonator going over speed bumps. What springs do people recommend which 1) lower the car for a better look and 2) are drivable and suitable for everyday use. The current setup is fine for 80% of the bumps I’ve gone over so far but I do need to drive slowly over every bump I come across

Hi all, I am new to digital cameras, but I’d like to get more serious about my interest in photography and am trying to figure out the best type of camera for me. I’m particularly interested in two very different types of photography: macro and astrophotography (I know, it’s a tall order). if 15% of men in the us are 6ft or taller, that would mean about 1 in 7 men meet that standard. and considering that most short men spend their days rotting indoors, that metric should be even more likely. honestly it doesnt seem very difficult or rare for the average woman to find and meet a tall guy.
