I just had to jump out into the street to avoid a powered scooter speeding at me on a sidewalk in Matawan.
Guy never slowed down, came straight at me in the middle of the sidewalk and I had a fence to the other side.
The guy was visibly in his late 40s or 50s judging from the grey hair. When I yelled out WTF in surprise, he yelled back "fuck off."
Really, we need to be doing this shit here too?

I made it through the ASVAB and MEPS successfully, confirming my eligibility as an AST candidate. I talked to my recruiter about the advanced PT and the amount of training I need to get in over the course of the next 7 months before I ship. I have a crossfit gym, a pool, and the Atlantic Ocean as resources to use for my training. I've been running and weight training consistently but admittedly have not done much pool time beyond the last month. Where should I really dial in and put my focus towards while I prepare to ship 7 months from now?

2024.11.25 23:50 MintiCherri Why am I, as a brand new player with under 2 weeks of play & only 40 games played, being placed against TOURNAMENT WINNERS?
Is matchmaking really THAT bad in this game? This is literally my only complaint, Rocket League has been super fun otherwise, I’m just getting matched against people wayyy out of my skill level. I can barely hit shots while jumping, and they’re out here brushing their teeth with the ball against the ceiling before slamming it into the goal. I’ve literally only had 2 balanced matches out of about 40.

Absolutely nothing in that place is benign except for the BIW. Occasionally some things might pretend to be helpful, but they aren't. It's just more of the place gleefully messing with your head. Sometimes it's in your face, like the monsters, but other times it's more subtle, like the Kimono Lady.
If you pay close to "Father Khatri" and read between the lines, you notice that just like "Abby", he isn't actually helpful. Quite the contrary. "Abby" tried to gaslight Boyd into blaming himself for her death. And "Father Khatri" hasn't been any different.
He shows up just to fuck with Boyd's mental state, but doesn't give any kind of answers or concrete solutions. More to the point, he shows up at very specific points to steer Boyd away from certain actions. Boyd gets the idea to capture one of the monsters and "Father Khatri" shows up to taunt him about how it could go disastrously wrong but he doesn't actually have anything useful to say, no alternative course of action. He's just keeping Boyd from trying to capture a monster. And it works. Nothing more is said of that idea.
In the finale, he shows up again to keep Boyd from extracting Fatima's location out of Elgin. He dresses it up in morality babble, but what he's really doing is stalling. He's keeping Boyd from reaching Fatima sooner and buying time for the Kimono Lady to deliver Smiley from Fatima.
So yeah, pretty sure that "Father Khatri" isn't actually Father Khatri. It's just another illusion, like the cicadas, and not a helpful one.

Is purchasing a 2014 Volvo S60 T5 used worth it to buy? I'm not too familiar with Volvo because it isn't as popular where I live, but one mechanic I talked to said that Volvos are amazing cars, just to stay away from the 2016 S60 T6.
My 2006 Toyota Rav4 is pooping out, at around 180k miles, and There is a Volvo S60 I'm looking at with 60k miles for $8k and ofc I will check it out and get it checked out at a shop before purchasing, but how is the reliability on it? Does it run long? Maintaince etc.

We usually do all inclusive in Mexico, but I was told not to do this in CR because we might want to move around and also it's safe and inexpensive to eat out and buy food. I don't know if I look like a caring person in my profile, it could be. But most of people that match with me in dating apps are struggling with something. I have been there as well, and I do feel compelled to help them. But at the same time, every time I do this, my energy is lost because I don't have the same return.
Even in real situations somehow the people that like me are struggling.
I'm the common factor, so... Should I try to break this pattern with therapy or?

I’ve been an inverted triangle ever since I was like 14 and I’ve never liked it, and I know I never will. My hips are the same size as my waist and square and I know I’m gonna be stuck with this body forever because of genetics. My body is literally physically unable to distribute fat in my legs and hips too so my thin legs make me look even more disproportionate. I would literally do ANYTHING to be rectangle, pear, or hourglass, I just desperately want to be proportionate instead of being told I’m built like gru. People see this body type on women and say that she looks masculine or question “how does one achieve this build.” The most defining feature in a woman and I literally don’t have it. I feel so robbed of my femininity and it upsets me so much. I just want to look pretty in clothing but my body can make any outfit look like crap. I know every guy in the world likes ass and thighs on women too, so how would a guy ever appreciate a girl with neither. I’m so scared to date because I know no guy would actually like my body. Maybe he’d tolerate it but obviously he’d be yearning for a curvy gf. I just want bigger or rounder hips pls
