My ex wife and I divorced a couple years ago after her affair. We did not keep in touch until last year when her brother unexpectedly passed away. I knew she was really close with her brother so I called her to give condolences. I was also close friends with her brother’s wife Zoe. We have been friends since middle school, so I also called Zoe to give condolences, and Zoe invited me to the funeral. At the funeral, Zoe was pretty much with me the whole time, and she was taking it really hard.
A couple of months after the funeral, Zoe texted me asking if we could hangout. Zoe had some really dark thoughts, and we ended up making these hangouts a weekly thing. A couple of months later, Zoe asked if we could go have dinner, and we did. We also made these dinners a weekly thing where every Saturday, we would go have dinner in a different restaurant. During one of these dinners, she also kissed me, and since then we usually kiss after these dinners. I’m however taking it really slowly and carefully because Zoe is just going through a lot of emotions, and even though Zoe has wanted to take it a step further multiple times, I told her we just need to go slow and maybe wait a few more months.
Last week, I was having dinner with Zoe and when I came back home, my ex wife texted me saying she had seen me and Zoe kiss at the restaurant. She then called me. My ex wife was really angry that I was dating Zoe, and she said it was very disrespectful to her brother. My ex wife was even crying on the call, and told me to stop seeing Zoe. I however told my ex wife my dating life was none of her business, and to mind her own business. I then hung up the call. I do think it was a bit crude what I said, but I just didn’t want to speak with my ex wife.
Was I the AH?

2024.11.25 23:40 Odd_Theme_3294 Mum update : posted about my mum insulting my body a few days back
So I was at home at the weekend and my mum is still at it - I told her that her comments were unhelpful but alas she continued. Mind you I’m 20 at uni - so not a teenager
I had a really nasty dream where my dad basically resurrected and it was horrific so I asked her for a hug - and she said no ew my body is too thin and she doesn’t want to touch me
Then she proceeded to ask me to stand with my back against a wall - take a picture of me - showed me the picture and asked me if I knew how I looked - and when I told her I felt I looked fine - she said my legs look awful (she must have watched TTB or something bc I swear that’s what Ellen’s mum did😭)
And then apparently my Nan has said to her about how awful I look And my Granma and Granfer are apparently worried about how I look (mind you I haven’t seen any of them in person for about 3 months - I face time grandparents frequently- but they see my face not my body)
Then she got back from work - asked me what I’d eaten - before giving me a chance to answer she said ‘probably nothing’ (I’d eaten 3 meals because I’m a recovery slay queen)
Then on the way to the train station today - she mentions the stress her friends sisters ED put her friend through. And followed it up with ‘if this disorder kills you, I might as well let it because there nothing I can do’
I love her to pieces I really do but she’s so unhelpful with food - I’m mainly looking to vent to ppl that understand. And I get it’s hard for her, I’m her only daughter and she must feel so powerless - but I don’t know what to do - I’m trying so hard and I want to get better it’s just not easy.
But also I am not that skinny , and she thought I was underweight when my bmi was healthy - which just suggests to me that she’s got a skewed view as to what healthy is - idk.
But yeah not very slay I love her so much so really don’t want to cut her off but I really cannot with these comments
