 | Hi all, I'm looking to change my current LS50 "basic" stereo setup in my small living room. https://preview.redd.it/5g3x3kmv193e1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c6221bd417b2509d36ba21345acc32b9dce2730 - I want to add two satellite speakers. I'm thinking about either the KEF 3001SE or the newer E301. I can get both of them for pretty much the same price in good condition (around €120). I'm not looking to add a center speaker or a bass speaker. Center needs to be huge to match the LS50's and even though a lot of people think otherwise, the LS50's have enough deep end to my liking and in my small living room with neighbours. - Second I'm thinking about wall-mounting the LS50's to get them up to ear level and tidy up the look. I know it's an audiophiles nightmare but how bad is it really? Something to maybe take into account is that they'll be mounted to a 12mm drywall. I'm not worried about holding them up but more about maybe enhancing the muddiness as compared to stone/concrete. Another option would bet to raise them on wall mounts like these to get them away from the wall. Of course that doesn't really clean up the look as much but it's something. At the moment when I move the speakers close to the wall I don't get a lot of muddiness, but resonation through the mounts might change that. Amp/receiver is Onkyo TX-NR686. Living room is around 3,5m deep and 4m wide, with couch sitting at 2-2,5m from TV. Satellites will be at 2m hight at around 1-2m from couch depending on where you sit. My big bad for my campaign is a rhakshasa that has an item that allows them to cast anti-magic field (so long, magic weapons needed to hurt them!). I have a player that's doing a warforged barbarian that I know will end up trying to melee said Rhakshasa. I'm looking for a creative way to have the anti-magic field affect the warforged. I don't want it to just do nothing. Nor do I want it to remove all agency from the player.
My goal is make the fight more challenging. Give them a cooler story to walk away with.
The item, without going into spoilers, has a power source that is not on the rhakshasa's person and the encounter is designed for the rest of the party to be sabotaging said power source while the warforged tanks. But I really want there to be some sort of consequence for being a magical living construct standing inside what is effectively (for them) a death field. One that ISN'T "oh you just switch off". NOT what I am going for.

Will certainly get hate for this but am very much open to being educated! I know the general advice has always been to invest as much as possible into IRA accounts/401K (people putting 15%+ of salary in annually) but I’ve always felt iffy about this. Why put hoard all your money away into an account that you can’t touch until retirement age (65+)? I understand that 65 isn’t geriatric and plenty are very healthy at this age- but isn’t the beauty of having/spending money doing it while you’re “young”? When you have energy and health, etc to travel and buy property? I feel like if I want to live “lavishly” I’d rather do it while I’ve got my youth and looks hahaha (half kidding)… I’m certainly not making the case that you shouldn’t put money away for retirement, but why not just put the bulk away into regular brokerage accounts? I understand there are tax implications but again- I would rather have money that is accessible to me throughout my earlier life, than to just hoard all my money away to use inevitably on medical bills. AGAIN- I’m not making an argument against having savings for retirement - I’m specifically talking about put away huge portions of your income into an account that you can’t touch.
Also on the topic of ETFs - I see there’s a lot of talk about SCHD and low returns… doesn’t SCHD give $3 dividend while being $28/$29 (currently anyway) ?! That’s 10% return - isn’t that pretty high?

There's good deals on the g7se right now here in Sweden so I'm thinking on picking one up.
But saw some old videos where there was these aiming problems. The fiddled around with raw input vs something else to make a circle with the right joystick.
There was something about it not being linear since some update.
I saw peopke arguing about which kontrolfreeks that fits. Seems playstion ones. I'm on Xbox but I have the PS4 Kontrolfreeks left. Will they fit?
Yeah. Are these aiming things fixed today? The vids I saw were about half to a year old.
I play mostly Call of duty right how on Series X. Do I have to have a pc for updates oer whatnot? I hope it's just plug and play without hassle since I don't have a pc anymore. Many questions I know but hopefully someone has some answers on here. 😊

2024.11.26 13:50 Hi-archy I hate python, should I give up the pursuit of this career?
Can't stand the language, tried it many times over the course of my life, with many different platforms/websites. Absolutely hate it, makes no sense to me whatsoever.
I like SQL though, but I see that python is a reocurring skill being mentioned for DA's so I'm just asking, how important is it? and should I honestly just give up the pursuit to transitioning to this space if I can't learn it?

I only watched the first season when it came out because Hulu was advertising it a lot if I remember correctly. I did not keep track of the rest of the show when I stopped watching. I don't even remember it being anything amazing either but I just wanted to see how many people know/remember this show.
