. My one friend will literally invite me out and expect me to pay for the whole thing cause they can't use debit or they won't talk to me if it's not something about them. They'll also manipulate me into buying them stuff. I don't even work so that's not really affordable. Like I had to break a 100 dollar bill cause they got sulky I wouldn't buy them a 30 dollar CD. They get silent and walk ahead of me when they get mad and I didn't want to deal with that. This person got sulky once because I said I wanted to change the topic as it was triggering to me. It was honestly a dark topic. Then they literally turned it on me and said I talk about things they don't like and that they always say the wrong thing.
Sometimes this person is very nice but I can't deal with the sulky behavior sometimes. It ruins the vibe. They'll do it for no reason too and it always means I'm walking to catch up with them, or they don't want to eat at the same restaurant as me and they won't change their mind, saying no to every idea I have, insulting things I like in a joking way, being snappy, and also denying their acting a certain way, saying I'm bad at reading their face.
I do enjoy talking to them a lot but I don't like this.

I'm currently taking a break from k-12 but one of the things I disliked the most about k-12 was the coteaching model. I was ENL support and now that I work in a different setting I can see just how little I was truly respected as a professional. The biggest issue I had was that lead teachers wouldn't be far ahead enough in the curriculum for me to truly modify assignments to the best of my ability and we would end up doing 1 lead and 1 assist a lot. Somehow whenever I pointed out that the leads weren't ahead enough it always got turned back around on me for not doing enough. (Well if the leads aren't ahead I need to study the curriculum outside of school, I need to prep more, jump in more, etc). The issue never seemed to be with the leads. And even though I would help with communication and behavior a lot I never felt properly appreciated for that ( I would often revert to behavior management because it was something in my control).
Many times I felt disrespected by admin who would always side with the lead teacher, and there was always the undertone that "I needed to try and make this my classroom but it's never unclear whose the REAL teacher." I also had paper trails of evidence pointing out how the planning schedule was ineffective for leads to be ahead and asked for feedback on how we should remedy this. I now have my own classroom and am so much happier. I always preferred lead teaching/coteaching and tbh I feel like when most people envision becoming a teacher they see themselves in their own classroom but I feel like we're being encouraged to not confess we don't like coteaching.
The best analogy I could come up with for coteaching is imagine that every day is a group project and you are all given tasks to complete but your roles are unclear and if you happen to come unprepared only YOU are dinged. Also imagine that your partner thinks that they are inherently in charge and you have to manage the ego. Group projects are great if you actually get along but half of the time you don't and now your entire evaluation is based off of this pairing instead of what you can individually produce.
