Hey y’all, I found some ancestors on the Freedman’s bureau documents. One of these was a marriage certificate and it described my ancestors color as yellow. It didn’t mention that one of their parents had the color black. I’m very confused what it means by yellow color. Can someone help me please understand what it meant by these colors? Was it to signify their skin complexion or maybe their race? I’m new to these documents so apologies if this is a dumb question.

Hello everyone, I just got a TCL55QM8B and I have the following problem: My AVR is a Denon X540BT. That model has the limitation that it's build in UI only works in 1080p. That means if you are using a 4K source like a Nvidia shield, you would not be able to see the Denons UI overlays on changing the volume. If you open the settings of the AVR, it would stop outputting the picture from the Shield and just show its Settings UI and switch to 1080p.
That is not a problem and it is a 4k compatible AVR and worked without any issues with my old Samsung RU7179 that run on tizen. My Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 would output its sig al as needed in 4k60 trough the AVR to the TV.
But now with the new TCL android based tv, the AVR is basically locked to 1080p. There are also no settings to increase resolution on the shield or on the tv. The only way to get a 4k picture is to directly connect the shield to the TV and then just using the AVR as audio return channel. The downside is that I loose the ability to play DTS HD Ma or DDL+ audio, I am limited to normal DTS or Dobly because the AVR does not support eARC, only normal ARC.
Does anyone know a solution or at least encountered this specific problem? My guess is that the TV connects to the AVR, detects its 1080p UI and thinks it's limited to 1080p and does not expose its ability to also receive a 4k signal to the AVR.

Both tickets were booked separately with each airline and I was supposed to get 5 hours layover at LAX, yet both airlines have changed their schedules shrinking my layover to 1 hours and 10 minutes. Should I forget the current LAS flight and book a later one or is it possible I make it?

Trump is also gonna make inflation worse than ever even though a lot of people only voted for him to have “cheaper eggs”.
This country undeniably died the instant Trump won, and its corpse is gonna rot when he officially gets into office. The only thing at this point to do at this point is to flee to a better country before Trump severely harms you. Japan, Germany, Scandinavian countries, Netherlands, Canada, UK, and Australia are better alternatives than the US. You aren’t going to win this battle by staying here and watching society severely degrade around you, and think about your rights and how they matter.

What should I do instead of filmschool? I'm currently in highschool. Been doing video editing, both for fun and solo freelancing for the past (almost) 5 years.
I'm pretty positive, that if I try hard enough, I'll be able to learn almost everything technical that is provided in Film School by the time I graduate. However, I still wouldn't mind educating myself, even if it's courses, or a degree.
What else would help in filmmaking and cinema? I've heard people say theatrical arts, psychology, philosophy etc.
Any suggestions?
