So I was just kinda brainstorming and pretty much every major mamodo we have seen would be THRILLED to see their human partners again and vise versa. Then I started to wonder what a dynamic would be like if one of the mamodos/ partners didn’t really want to see each other again and then i realized I was missing the actual 1 pair who definitely does not want to see one another. So I’m curious, would anybody else be interested to see Zophis and Koko be forced to team up this time around now that Koko has her own free will? I know Koko said she had no desire to see Zophis in the gash cafe but Zophis WAS powerful, perhaps adult Koko, now full of confidence but still with a heart of gold would give Zophis another chance and could help steer him in the right direction? Or maybe he is already on his “repentance” stage and tries to prove to her and everybody else he’s pure hearted now? I figured it would be pretty cool to see sherry and Koko working as equals now or maybe Koko wants to pay sherry back and save her in battle some point down the line?

2024.11.26 20:10 Truth_Speaker01 I finally did it, I reached my breaking point - unassigned my first order
I was reluctant to accept a lower paying ($6.50) Shop and Deliver order today, but DD was slow and I wanted to get out of my house, so I accepted.
The customer wanted a Tumbler that I looked through the entire grocery store for. I eventually went to the Customer Server desk and manager that was working confirmed for me that the tumbler was a seasonal item (summer) and they currently did not stock it.
I then sent the customer a lengthy paragraph about everything I had done to find their tumbler. I told them what the store manager said and that two employees were unsuccessful in helping me look for the tumbler. I shared a photo of a substitution tumbler (it was an ugly green tumbler, but the only tumbler the store had).
The customer then replies back, seemingly ignoring my messages, with a picture of the tumbler that they originally wanted: "This is the picture of the tumbler, are you sure they dont have it?"
After I convinced them that they don't have the tumbler, the customer finally decides that they want the ugly green tumbler. Unfortunately, the green tumbler was not in Doordash's database due to it being a new/seasonal item. I tell the customer this, and the customer finally requests a refund.
At this point I have been jacking around with communicating about the tumbler with the customer for 20 minutes. I have half the order shopped. Total time invested so far is close to 30 minutes on a $6.50 order.
Next, the customer wants a charging cable for their phone. So I have to go chase down an employee to get the cable unlocked from the shelf (theft prevention).
Finally, I went into the bakery area looking for some muffins. I found a match on the muffins, scan them, and then am greeted with a message saying that these are not the same item - the original item has a raspberry filling. I look around the bakery section for 5 minutes scrutinizing all of the pastries and do not see the muffins. The customer has provided no substitutions for the muffins either.
At this point, im 40+ minutes into a $6.50 shop and deliver order. I realize, based on my interactions with the customer, that If I tell them that the muffins that they want aren't at the store, the following things will occur: 1.) Start a lengthy process of finding a substitution for the customer. Them asking me over and over again if I am sure that their muffins are not there. 2.) The customer will certainly leave me a bad review because they couldn't get their original items.
I decided enough was enough, and cut my my loses by unassigning.
I can't help but feel that some customers who do Shop and Deliver love the feeling of superiority over the door dasher that is trying to get them their items. For this brief moment in time, they have a personal assistant, and some people milk that and they love it.
As a final "f**k you" to this whole experience, I decided to buy the incorrect muffins and a half gallon of milk for myself to enjoy. The muffins were delicious.

2024.11.26 20:10 valhjalli Heads up for F-1 International Students, you should be investigating CPT and summer internship opportunities now!!
Many of you might know this, but many also might not! If you are an F-1 VISA international student and will have completed 2 semesters as a full-time student by summer 2025, and you are planning on working during summer 2025, it is a VERY good idea to start looking at internships now as well as considering applying for CPT. You may want to look for jobs on campus for this summer, and that is perfectly fine, but please be aware that they are extremely limited. The majority of on campus jobs are active during the fall and spring semesters, not during summer. If you need employment during the summer, you should not rely on getting an on campus job, or at least it shouldn't be the only option you are investigating. If you are wanting to do an internship that applies to your classes / major, then you should be looking into CPT now and looking for internship opportunities!
CPT stands for Curricular Practical Training, and coming straight from the CIE website, it is "authorization for F-1 students for off-campus work experience." It's pretty much the only way to get authorized for off campus work prior to graduation (as after graduation you can apply for OPT, Optional Practical Training). "CPT eligibility depends on your individual situation and program of study. CPT may be authorized by CIE after a recommendation by your faculty/academic advisor and a review by the CPT review committee." Also, "CPT is available before program completion, while post-completion OPT is available to students who have completed their program."
It can be intimidating to look into, but I highly recommend checking out the CIE website that discusses CPT and you can always reach out to the CIE office with questions. Disclaimer, I am not a CIE employee and I am not an expert on this subject. The CIE employees know MUCH more than I do! I'm just doing my best to communicate information I learned about recently as it seems like many folks don't know about summer internship application timelines and how you should start considering CPT early!
