I'm very new to VTM, and I'm trying to figure out what predator type my character (Sol) would fall under.
Sol kidnaps his victim (who's always a rich douche bag) and puts them on public display in the middle of a large city. He then (anonymously) explains to the crowd that the victim is fully restrained, and he gives the audience various items and tools to use on the victim. After an hour, all lights are cut. Under the cover of darkness and the crowd's clamor, Sol slashes the victims neck and drinks as much blood as he can before escaping without a trace.
Half the time, the audience has already killed the victim before the end of the "show".

I am looking into having surgery with Dr. Chris Porter in Christchurch and was wondering if anyone has had top surgery (FTM) with him? And if so, would anyone feel comfortable enough to show their post-op results ??
I've been in touch with his team and they stated that they are unable to share photos due to privacy reasons, which is fair enough, but I personally do not feel comfortable not knowing what his previous results look like before committing to surgery with him.
Any result pics from him would be awesome, but I have been told I would qualify for double incision so I would love to see results for that !!

2024.11.26 22:10 --Nowhere_Man-- I want some guidance
I'm an extremely naive person. Ever since I was a child, I would get taken advantage of in ways I just didn't know. This has led me to become a really timid person, and I've really shut myself off from the things I used to enjoy and spend so much time thinking about. I couldn't try anything because I wouldn't get out of my shell.
The thing is, I'm still the person now and it hurts. I still get taken advantage of; I still fall for things and I don't like it. However it's been so long since I've last put my heart and soul into anything, and I guess I'm too scared to start.
I know it's never too late to start trying to become a stronger person, but I find it very difficult to when my past is so embarrassing and painful, and in the present it's easier to imagine a different past where I had just one person who saw me and cared about me.
I don't know what to do with all this baggage, and so I'm writing it here. Right now I'm a stupid, confused pushover, and I want to get better but I just don't feel like it.
This is not even getting started on my future prospects, but that's hardly a problem I should care about as a person who can't even get out of bed in the morning.
Any advice or just plain words would be appreciated. Thanks for reading this.

2024.11.26 22:10 Cyanide_Jam Hi hat question
So my ass has been running these Meinl HCS hi hats for wayy too long, especially considering I've been working on upgrading my kit for years at this point (finally replaced the shells with a Yamaha Stage Custom kit last year), and I'm finally getting fed up with the sound of my hi hats.
Unfortunately I'm still on a budget (<$300 for the pair) and while I don't hate the sound of such 14" hi hats like the Paiste 900 Sound Edges or the Meinl Classics Custom Duals, I find myself gravitating towards the sound of lightejazzier cymbals like the Sabian XSR Monarchs and Wuhan KOIs.
The problem truly lies in the fact that I play mainly rock but also jazz/funk/lighter stuff, and I'm really worried about the durability of these expensive (to me) cymbals I wanna invest in. (I also wonder if maybe I'm just overcorrecting away from the sound of my current basic hi hats)
So my question is if my durability worries are well founded and I should avoid hi hats like the Monarchs and KOIs, if I'll be fine, or if maybe I should just throw the HCSs on for gigs since they're rock shows anyways?

Season 3 Meredith almost drowns, Callie and George get married, George and Izzie have sex, George fails his intern exam, Burke leaves Cristina at the altar, Meredith breaks up with Derek, and everyone cries.

Season 8 A sinkhole opens up in Seattle and also in our doctors' lives: Richard takes the fall for Meredith, Teddy's dreamy husband dies, Cristina and Owen break up after she terminates her pregnancy, and half the doctors are in a plane crash that kills Lexie and traumatically injures Arizona, Derek, and Mark.
Season 9 Mark also dies from his injuries (RIP, McSteamy), and the rest of the plane crash survivors reach a massive settlement that allows them to buy the hospital; meanwhile, Alex meets an intern named Jo, April gets engaged to a paramedic, Meredith gives birth during a storm, and Richard gets electrocuted, dun dun DUNNNN.
Season 10 Surprise, Richard survives but intern Heather dies instead (we barely knew ye), April and Jackson elope during April's wedding, Derek gets a job working for the president, Cristina is offered a job in Switzerland by Burke and leaves Seattle forever, and Grey's Anatomy was never the same, so I'm still in mourning and please respect my privacy during this time.
Season 11 The one where Derek dies (also Meredith finds out she has a half-sister, April and Jackson's baby dies, and Calzona breaks up, but mostly Derek dies).
Season 12 Callie dates the doctor who killed Derek and is so embarrassed she leaves town; April and Jackson break up but also get pregnant; Bailey becomes the chief; the writers decide Meredith should move on with a cut-rate Derek replacement; and Owen and Amelia get married too quickly.
Season 13 Owen and Amelia don't last (plot twist!), Alex almost goes to jail for beating up DeLuca, Meredith is in a boring love triangle with Maggie and Nathan, Minnick does a terrible job of running the hospital and then disappears, and Stephanie blows up a rapist and then disappears.
Season 14 Not-Derek is mercifully shipped off with Owen's not-dead sister, Amelia gets a brain tumor and is immediately cured, Ben becomes a firefighter and starts a spinoff, Dr. Herman and Matthew return and whisk off Arizona and April (respectively), Alex and Jo tie the knot, and Meredith Grey wins the Harper Avery Award #legend.

Not too much to say. I was supposed to meet a girl from my university. We met on a dating app last week and we texted for a while before agreeing last Thursday to meet this morning on campus.
Last Friday she told me she has something after class so can do a “quick coffee grab.”
Initially accepting it, it never truly sat right with me and on Sunday I told her that I dont want to be squeezed in and that I’d rather have a first date with someone who has the time.
My friend group is split - some have called me inconsiderate and stubborn whereas others have commended me for respecting myself.
I feel a bit of guilt, but something says I wasnt wrong. AITA?
