2024.11.26 23:30 Dazzlingbamboozler Iām so tired of being told to fix my attitude/tone when thereās NO TONE (vent from an AuDHD person)
I (F22 Autism and ADHD) live at home with my mom (F56) and my brother (M28 Aspergerās syndrome). Currently weāre out of town for thanksgiving visiting family and staying at my grandmaās house (F78) while my brother is staying at his girlfriendās house.
Some background info before I get into it: my mom is a Special Education Teacher and has been a SPED teacher for 20 something years. Back home, if I say something to my mom that she interprets as bad, she tells me to fix my tone/attitude when I donāt have one and thatās just how I normally talk.
She responds with either of these options:
A) Gets even more mad at me and calls me names (2 weeks ago she got mad at me because she said I rolled my eyes when I didnāt and called me an asshole and ungrateful)
B) Threatening to disconnect my phone service (Pathetic I know Iām unemployed but trying to find a job since I just graduated community college and want to save up what money I can to be able to move out and pay for my own stuff but the job hunting sucks rn)
C) Tries sending me to my room when Iām a full grown adult and have the right to do what I want
And if youāre about to suggest I move out or leave, I canāt exactly do that because I donāt have my driverās license yet due to an irrational fear of driving and I live in Texas which doesnāt exactly have the best drivers but Iām taking driving classes when I visit my family out of town.
And when she calls me for something, I sometimes out of habit say āwhat?ā but ofc she interprets that as me being rude or whatever and when we fight over it, I want to bash my head into a wall bc itās like talking to someone who doesnāt understand what Iām going through for someone who works with kids like me daily during the school year.
Currently Iāve been dealing with a sinus infection since Thursday and Iām currently trying to recover. This is slightly important info since this plays into what happened earlier today (vent coming ahead)
Today my mom opened the door to the guest room Iām in and when she came in I said āyes?ā She told me that there was food in the kitchen and then ofc she told me to fix my tone bc the food is for my ābenefitā since said food was soup to help cope with my sinus infection. I was already annoyed when she said that because first she tells me not to respond with āwhat?ā and then gets mad at me for saying āyes?āand she thinks Iām saying it because Iām annoyed with her when I wasnāt until she kept talking about my tone.
Anyways hereās the rest of the meat: as I enter the kitchen and grab some food, my grandma (who speaks only Spanish and doesnāt understand English) asks me to take her insulin syringe and I say āokā and my mom gets offended and AGAIN says to fix my attitude when thereās literally no attitude and I kept telling her thereās no tone Iām talking like how I normally talk and after some back and forth she replies with her normal threat: āokay guess Iāll just disconnect your phone since youāre not approachableā
I want to bash my head into a fucking wall omfg like itās not my fault I canāt control how I speak and itās even more annoying because my mom is a special education teacher and should understand what Iām going through instead of treating me as if I know what Iām doing is intentional when it isnāt smh. And on top of that, I constantly get guilt tripped for my āsupposed toneā and get called annoying, bitchy, mean, and asshole by my OWN MOTHER. Like what kind of person calls their kids that over something they canāt control? Itās especially hard in a Latino family where back then no one considered this disability as real and my mom denies she has Autism or ADHD but I suspect that she does. Itās so annoying especially because Iām basically stuck till I get a job, my license, and move out and I just want to scream into the void bc this sucks ASS.
Anyways vent over: anyone have similar stories or have gotten through it?

Came to ask everyone if anyone actually reports winnings on taxes on online gambling? I hit a pretty great sports bet the other night. So far Iām $4100+ on sports betting online.
But Iām like 14k in losings on the casino online - but a different site then what I hit my winnings on the sports bets.
So anyway, are they gonna make me pay taxes on the 4100 because itās a different site ?
This all might be dumb questions but just will suck ass if so.
So bottom line ā does anyone claim anything under 10k in winnings ? Iāve heard that the online casinos will send tax forms. Has anyone received any before ?

2024.11.26 23:30 Mediocre_Caramel_753 RDR 1 doesnāt hit the same as RDR 2.
so I started playing RDR 1 a couple of months ago after I completed my second play through of RDR 2. I havenāt played rdr 1 since I was like 12 ish and I didnāt remember the story at all so I thought why not give 1 a shot. After playing 2, it is just so far behind RDR 2 that I donāt enjoy it as much. That isnāt me saying RDR 1 was poorly made at all, I played it a ton when I was younger. (Mostly online). But I think the advancement of rockstar games is making it hard to play such a simplified game. I love building my own cool outfits, customizing the guns, etc. which just isnāt really implemented in the game. The stores and the variety of items to acquire in rdr 2 is just so much more immersive and added a level of complexity that i really enjoy. Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone have a change of thought about the game that made it more enjoyable to play.
Note: I apologize if this was hard to read I wrote this quickly before picking up takeout.
