2024.11.27 00:21 CarGood3160 shooting 22. LR out of a 22. mag chambered break action single shot rifle?

im sure this has been posted many times, but I honestly cannot find a consistent answer for my case, apologies if it sounds like a stupid question, but I don't fully understand why this would be a terrible idea except for reasonable trade offs, like less accuracy than a properly chambered 22lr. However, I would greatly appreciate any insight you might have.
i want to get a little single-shot 22 rifle, my logic is I could (in a perfect world) get a 22 mag, for the increased power, range etc. but when I don't need the range or power, I can just use a 22lr (or maybe even a 22 short??), like when I need to deal with a rat or other pest out in the yard and I'm not shooting beyond 5-10 yards, a little less accuracy is fine because its often point blank, its quieter and generally preferable (in my opinion). and I have many other similar situations, not just rats. eventually, i will just get both 22lr and a 22 mag, and not worry about it, but for now, bear with me.
what are the realistic negatives of using a 22lr in a single-shot rifle chambered for 22 mag?

If anybody guesses the location right and this gets at least someone curious on how i did it ill come with an update.
