I had a good experience. 8 weeks PO. Happy I'm here now. Most of the time I've pretty much forgotten that I had it. My life is all back to normal. I returned to work 6 days PO. Yes I really did. My drive to work is only 2.5 easy miles (automatic transmission). First week I worked 4-6 hours per day. I have a couch in the office so I could relax when necessary. Took a few weeks to be able to go on longer than an hour dog walk. My belly is still bloated (or did I just put on weight?).
Happy that's behind me. I'm 6 years post menopause, so I'm older and didn't have the negative experience with medical menopause. I've been on HRT for the last 6 years.
Everyone has a different experience. Nobody is the same. My situation is different. But don't get all doom and gloom that everything is going to be horrible after surgery. I was prepared for the worst, but everything ended up just fine.
Good luck out there! I just wanted to post a positive story, not all is bad experience.

Hi everyone! My mom started doing stained glass a little over a year ago, and she absolutely loves it. I think she's an amazing artist, and I'd love to get her something glass related for Christmas. She has all the tools she needs and she's done both soldering and lead came work before. Her biggest critique of herself is her soldering work - she thinks it is sloppy.
Basically I was wondering if there are any books, online classes, or anything else of the sort more experienced glassers may be able to recommend. She's never done 3D work before and I do think she may be interested. TIA!

2024.11.27 01:31 peradua_adastra1121 abdominal pain/cramping post eating/drinking- no endo on TV ultrasound, just acid reflux? adhesions from lap?

me again! I previously posted about next steps for me after a clear transvaginal ultrasound that didn't show bowel endo. I had an endoscopy recently that showed "mild changes associated with acid reflux" and nothing else. My main symptoms are pain and cramping after eating (sometimes leads to diarrhea within minutes) or burping and acid reflux after eating (tasting food, acid taste, sore throat) other times it just immediately feels bloated and heavy when I eat or drink. when I have a full bladder it also feels heavy
my gastro hasn't been helpful, my Endo specialist says he "doesn't know much about upper GI". I'm over here in pain- most of the time it's like having a Charley horse in my pelvis when I walk, other times like I'm being punched. my stomach hurts to touch and feels distended.
the only thing that's helped so far is heat, cupping and massage and sometimes yoga. I can feel immediate relief from cupping and the increased blood flow- it feels like my stomach is looser?. it doesn't last forever but helps a bit. this makes me think that it's "just" internal adhesions or tissue damage from my laparoscopy? this type of pain did start after my lap. I asked my Endo specialist about pelvic congestion syndrome and he said in his decades of practicing he's never seen a case? is that red flag?
Its just exhausting and I am approaching a nervous breakdown after not being able to eat/drink without pain since 2023. I've literally said this to multiple doctors (how long I've been able to eat without pain) and only my PT seems concerned. sorry for the rant and thanks in advance for any advice!!

How would Jokichi and Ryoba react if their daughter had a senpai who initially knew about Aishi's curse and independently initiated contact with her in the hope (successfully) that he had the senpai gene and subsequently very actively began to build a romantic relationship with her? 1.Would Jokichi accept criticism from his daughter's senpai that Jokichi himself was just a coward who did not have enough willpower to love and try to change Ryoba for the better? 2.How would Ryoba react to the fact that her daughter has the very mutual love that Ryoba herself dreamed of and could not get? 3.How would Ryoba react to the fact that her daughter's senpai took (from her daughter) an oath never to kill anyone (except in self-defense) not out of humanity, but out of fear of losing her? P.S. My friend planned to write a similar fanfic, these are his ideas, but later he refused. I am too poor at understanding people's characters to predict the reaction of Jokichi and Ryoba. What is your personal opinion on this scenario? How would they react in such a development of events?

Finally got around to making the Bourbon Sweet Potato Ravioli. Delicious! I saw recommendations for sage brown butter to go with them but since the package suggested an orange whiskey glaze, I thought I'd go along that route. Didn't find any Dijon at Aldi so went with the German Horseradish Mustard and found a recipe for a Creole marmalade sauce that sounded tasty and was just Dijon, orange marmalade, horseradish sauce and hot sauce. Toasted some walnuts to go in the sauce too, thinned out with some pasta water and finished with a little bit of Parm/Romano blend. Bada bing bada boom!
