Hi everyone, I have been living with OCD since I was a little kid however I wasn’t diagnosed until 2018. I have always had tic like movements dating back to childhood, with adolescence being what I would consider the height of these movements. After finding out I had OCD, I contributed these movements as compulsions although I had always felt that there was another aspect to them. Some of the tic like movements throughout childhood/adolescence consisted of hitting my chest repeatedly, pressing on my eyes intensely, whipping my head backwards, putting up the middle finger, saying curse words, rolling my eyes, pressing on my throat until I coughed, squeezing my neck with my hands, the list goes on. All of these movements came from what I can describe as an urge. This urge would come over me and once I completed the movement it subsided. The confusing part about this is that it truly felt like a combination of a tic and a compulsion. I have been reading up on Tourettic OCD and Tourette’s in general and many posts on here resonated with me. I have been living my whole life wondering what was wrong with me. I never believed that these movements were tics because I felt that I could control when they would happen and I know that tics for many people are involuntary however I now realize that the urge that must be relieved does sort of feel involuntary. Many of the harm tics have subsided into adulthood however they do pop back up from time to time. My most frequent tics currently are squeezing both of my fists together, loosening and tightening them all while squeezing my toes and squeezing my eyes shut, this happens multiple times throughout the day. Sometimes I even get the urge to close my eyes while driving. I also feel that I am able to hold back these tics while in public or at work although I do find a way to relieve the urge even if it’s not the full tic. I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD and struggle with sensory issues. I’m wondering if anyone has any similar experiences or insight. I do have a great care team that I am working with and I am hopeful we will get to the bottom of this!

Looking to get my first ebike. I live in a northern Europe and have tested a bike with the gen 4 Bosch Performance CX.
However gen 5 just released.
How big is the difference? Software updates etc?
Worth paying €500 (or more) for a gen 5 bike or save money and go for the old gen 4?
Cube for example offers both versions still.

Buongiorno a tutti. Molto brevemente, sono un ragazzo di Palermo che ha frequentato un istituto tecnico industriale con la speranza di entrare in contatto con aziende e andare a lavorare subito dopo il diploma, ma col covid non c'è stato verso. Diplomato nel 2022 ho iniziato l'università subito ma ho dovuto abbandonarla circa verso metà del primo anno per problemi seri in famiglia. Per tenermi comunque attivo ho provato qualsiasi tipo di concorso pubblico nelle FdO e attualmente sto aspettando l'esito per un concorso per vice ispettore tecnico alla cybersecurity in polizia, ma non mi aspetto nulla di che visto l'andazzo degli altri 4 concorsi che ho fatto. Nel frattempo ho continuato a cercare qualsiasi tipo di stage, apprendistato o lavoro entry-level in tutti i campi del mio settore, in sede a Palermo o da remoto per tutta Italia tramite linkedin, ma tutto ciò che trovo richiede o una laurea o esperienza certificata per essere anche solo considerato. Ho inviato molte candidature per ogni ruolo internship ad una certa azienda di microconduttori che sta creando uno stabilimento molto grande a Catania, ma sono stato apertamente ghostato o direttamente rifiutato senza nemmeno un colloquio. Dire che mi sento stanco di svegliarmi ogni mattina e leggere almeno tre email di rifiuto della candidatura, su almeno 3 che mando ogni giorno a chiunque, sarebbe veramente riduttivo... Con linkedin si riesce davvero a trovare lavoro per qualcuno come me, nel mio settore, quantomeno vicino a dove vivo? O l'unica e ineluttabile realtà è che per fare quello che speravo nelle prime righe sarebbe farmi raccomandare o trovare il modo di trasferirmi al nord e pregare? Grazie in anticipo a tutti per le risposte.
