Hey✌️ My girlfriend and I plan to visit Morocco for two weeks next summer. I want to learn the language so I can at least have some basic conversations, but I have a few questions:
- Is it worth learning standard Arabic? From what I've read on the internet most people understand standard arabic but no one actually speaks it? So in order to talk with people I should learn Darija, right?
- Will people be happy or rather annoyed if someone tries to speak in their local language without being fluent?
- Most inportant: Do you know any good sources for learning the language? I feel like there's almost no proper book or language course to learn it and most of them only cover basic phrases without actually explaining grammar and stuff. Can you recommend me good sources to start?
- Will Moroccans also understand French? If I understood correctly, french is an official language in Morocco but do people with less education or people in rural areas also speak french?

 | Looking at picking up this beautifully clean 1990 Honda prelude si (non 4ws) as a project! I’ve been talking to the seller and the car is currently non running, the timing belt snapped when he was driving (he said the rpm’s went down slowly, and he’s not even sure that it’s the timing belt because he hasn’t looked.) Rust is very minimal according to the seller, just a few surface spots on both the rear quarters. he is the second owner, the car itself has 170000 on the clock. It comes with the oem steering wheel and shift knob, and has two sets of wheels and tires to come with it! This will be my very first project car, and I’m considering it because I’m assuming that the motor is toast and I want to learn how to do my first swap on a great looking piece of 90’s history! I’m posting because the seller wants somewhere in the ball park of 2500, and the car is 4 hours away so I’m likely gonna walk away with it that day on a trailer. Is 2500 a good price? What should this car be worth with…let’s say a b series swap? And finally, is this car something I should look into at all? Love Baldurs Gates 3 but can't play the game (don't have a gaming pc or Xbox) so I watched AGirlAndAGames playthrough on Youtube and loved it!
She stayed true to her characters motivations, was very thorough and thought things out and was very respectful especially with Astarion past abuse and didn't overtly sexulise him which I appreciated.
Anybody know any other youtube playthroughs they would recommend similar to this or that they recommend in general?

Hi there...4th of Jan will be my last day in Reykjavik (check out at 11 am) and I will stay the night at Keflavik since my return flight is 5th Jan early in the morning. I have no car so the cheapest option would be to take the bus to the airport. My question is...what could I do on 4th January? I should storage my luggage somewhere in the city and have a walk there? I think it would be too boring since I'll visit Reykjavik the previous days. I have seen some daily rental cars...it's not cheap but it would permit me to have more flexibility and have some trips around the city and the night around KEF. Any opinions? Thanks

I’ve lost 44lbs as of today and am really proud of myself for it too. I’ve gone from BMI 30.5 (13st, 7lbs) to BMI 23.4 (10st 5lbs). I’m still technically in the ‘higher’ end of the ‘healthy’ BMI range. Today, someone at work quite loudly stated “Have you lost weight recently? Are you ill?!” I was quite taken aback and I didn’t even know what to say so I just sorta chucked and said “yeah, I’ve lost a wee bit I guess, and no, I’m not ill”. WTF 😐
