As an OG Prime 4 owner I'm excited to try stems very soon! Maybe overexcited - I decided to convert my entire library to stems (~2200 songs, ~15 seconds per song = ~9 hours to convert all, 30GB library now takes ~90GB).
I've never used stems before. Here's a few ideas I'm rolling around in my head and would love to hear yours!
- Play 2 or more amelodic techno songs with different elements isolated in each
- Creating acapellas and superimposing them on techno tracks
- Creating happy hardcore acapellas and superimposing them on angry hardcore tracks
- Isolating a house bassline and superimposing it on an amelodic techno track
- Creating singalong moments by isolating or hiding vocals
- Playing a well-known pop song and replacing the percussion with a banging techno or house track

A lot of time a scar can be commemorative of the worst moments of somebody's life. When I see someone with scars, I don't think it makes them look strong or beautiful. It just makes me sad and angry. I hate the scars that I have and I don't want people to ever mention them or even see them, because it just brings back memories of the lowest points of my life.

He said it’s performed with general anaesthesia and I can go hope the same day and go back to normal life. But i researched and some people say they stayed in bed for a week or so. Has anyone here done laparoscopic surgery and how was the recovery actually?

2024.11.27 15:30 ThrowRA_lunar2 Something I learned only after finding the one... you don't "love" them all the time, and that's normal.
Before, I always assumed that a partner is someone that you love forever. I've been misled by all the romance movies and books to believe that you'll stay on the high of love all the time when you feel it. But that's simply not how it works in real life.
Sometimes you love your partner. Sometimes you only like them. Sometimes you're infatuated with them. Sometimes you're just neutral towards them. Sometimes you just don't like them at all. Sometimes you doubt them. Sometimes you're disgusted by them. Sometimes your horrified by the things they say/do. Sometimes you wish you never married them and wonder if you've made a mistake.
From my experience, you never get to the point of hating them, but "love" itself ebbs and flows.
I think there's always this undercurrent of love that prevents you from hating your partner, which is how I'm interpreting this verse from Surat Al-Rum: "And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy."
Affection and mercy is the "love" that keeps you going even in hard times when you have these negative feelings. You forgive them, give them the benefit of the doubt, you let things go, and find a way to bounce back from the slumps towards love.
And I think a lot of married people feel this: there are times during the slumps where you consider separation and/or divorce for a moment. During those times you wonder if you've made a mistake with your choice of partner. You wonder if your relationship will ever go back to the way it was before, and if it has been spoiled forever. But then, somehow, SubhanaAllah, sometimes less than a day after having these thoughts, you feel the love for them again.
Personally, I get surprised by how quickly that mercy and affection can help me forgive and heal. And somehow that negative experience brings us closer and helps us understand one another better.
All that to say, for everyone who's on this sub experiencing the slumps with your partners: may the affection and mercy that Allah placed between you help get you through it, and may you feel the love for them again much sooner than you can imagine.

I connect my controller in BT (integrated in the motherboard) but sometimes I have crazy input lag (about 2 seconds) and almost constantly it disconnect from my PC, with the logo going blinking.
It drives me crazy because I've tried updating it via Accessories App, I've disabled the power economy option in the Windows peripherals menu, and IT STILL KEEPS DISCONNECTING.
I'm considering just buying the 30€ usb stick but it makes me sick paying full 60 bucks for a ""premium"" controller made by the same f*ing company who made my PC's OS and having to pay AGAIN for HALF the price of the ducking controller...
If someone has another fix to try I'll gladly take it, thank you anonymous Redditor.

 | I just acquired this Corinth stater (Ravel 1081) from a coin shop in Rome (I live in Italy and am Italian, don’t worry). Apart from its beauty, something that sparked my interest was its declared pedigree: “Ex Cambi 927 n. 111, Ex collezione di un gentiluomo lombardo. Esemplare acquistato il 20 ottobre 1951 per 2000 Lire” Which translates to: “Ex Cambi auction 927 lot 111, Ex collection of a gentleman from Lombardy. Specimen acquired on the 20th of October 1951 for 2000 Lire” (fun fact: 2000 Lire from 1951 would be about todays 50 USD!) And this gave me a lead for a research on rnumis, which brought me to this auction catalogue (I highlighted the possible match in the last picture, and it reads: Other with Athena's Head, left (referring to similar specimens listed above), ∆-I and Artemis, right. Ravel 1081 ) It’s promising and plausible, but it still doesn’t check all the boxes: the auction date isn’t quite exact, nor is the weight, and the lack of a picture on the plates doesn’t help. Might that be a possible match? So what do you guys think? I also haven’t yet checked for matches in numismatic articles and catalogues, but I was hoping some of you more educated people could help me by providing some literature (with plates would be ideal) to read and scan.
