Hello everyone just want to say huge thanks for helping me between the ram question I had.
I have decided for the M4 Pro 48 GB spec and 1 TB in silver.
Now I’m at a cross roads between the 16” vs 14” Right now I do have the 14”. It’s great. But I never plug in to an external monitor so it does leave me wanting more screen real estate. I do travel with my laptop and do like to move around the house with it. And now that I moved to the beach going outside is nice.
Now the next is nano texture or not. I do drone editing so I like the picture to be vibrant and as true to life as I can get it. But I do notice the fingerprints and glare on glossy like crazy. It hasn’t bothered me yet but now I’m wondering if it’s worth the upgrade.
Money isn’t an issue with either so curious your thoughts ?

So I had a ROG Phone 3 that sadly took an unexpected swim and, well… it didn’t survive. RIP. 😔
Now I’m looking for a new phone, and I want to make sure I don’t end up in the same situation. My top priority is getting something water-resistant this time around.
I’m a gamer, and I mainly play COD Mobile, so I’m looking for a phone with:
120Hz refresh rate for smooth gameplay
A 3.5mm headphone jack (I still prefer wired headphones)
Solid performance for gaming
What would you guys recommend as an upgrade? I’m open to any suggestions, so let me know what you think!

Ok, when I setup the watch first last week, I could see the SMS on my watch (I use a Google Pixel 6a phone) now there was an update on the google txt message app on my phone and since that happened, I still get a notification I got a txt message, but it says the data is confidential or something like that, and I need to open the messages app on my phone to read that SMS, which is quite an annoyance, I still receive facebook messenger messages fine and I know they are encrypted with something, did Google do the same and now off-brand smartwatches can't read their SMS anymore ???

Starting today there are going to be daily Turkey LQs through Monday.
I'm going to be manually running these, and I'd like to find a time that works for the majority of interested players. Leave a comment here or in discord if you have a time preference. I'm leaning towards 6:30 PM EST.
The Thanksgiving Turkey Turkey
The Thanksgiving Turkey is a predominantly melee boss. It has a biting head, and two talons doing bite and cut damage. It hits hard (100wc + strength), so bring a lot of pots.
In addition to melee, it has a couple new spells, and the standard set of CCs. The CCs it casts are confusion, slow, paralysis, curse, debuff, and fear recoil.
Create Cranberry Sauce: Create Cranberry Sauce is much like Create Lava, but it adds cranberry themed acid terrain. It lasts for 15 minutes a cast, and is unlimited. Make sure you are flying or wearing acid resist.
Horde of Turkeys: Horde of Turkeys is a weird one. It simultaneous surrounds all players that have damaged The Thanksgiving Turkey with a bunch of small turkeys. These are level 22 turkeys doing bite damage. They don't spawn in occupied spaces, so group up to protect squishy allies.
The player with the most damage each round will receive a unique "Amulet of Room For More". This amulet gives a 500 max-food bonus, and reduces hunger a little bit.
There will only be 5 of these amulets (one per LQ), and they are basically a novelty collectible.

I don’t really have dreams often (idk what that means) but this one really stuck out to me. My mom was driving back home from my dance studio at about maybe 7-8 pm when I asked for Panera (In real life I keep craving random fast foods) and she said “tomorrow” and then dropped me off at a modern Christian church (I’m not religious) In real life I had been to that church with some family friends / a girl I kinda babysit a few times before. I was dropped off infront of the church and i walked to the side to see Mila (The girl I babysit) and Jen (Her mom and my moms co-worker) I follow Jen and we go on these connected apartment balcony’s that are connected to the church and we walk across all of them until we get to the last one and the lady that lived there had accidentally put her chair in the way of being able to go across it so she moved it and we kept going until we were back on the ground level after we went down stairs that were connected to the lady’s balcony. I don’t remember what happened after that but I do remember this. I was at home and I go into my parents room and I see all of these celebrities (Keep in mind I do not enjoy politics) I see Joe Biden, Donald Trump, and Vic Fuentes (a singer from a band I love) I don’t remember the rest of the people but there were probably about 9 celebrities and my dad (whoever doesn’t live in the house that the dream was taking place in anymore) I vaguely remember having that in a different dream before too but a very long time ago. I don’t bother them, but then we go to dinner (inside of my house but not a real room from house) and they are all sitting down, but on a little table next to theirs all of them children are sitting down next to them (Including me) Next to me were two twins from dance classes that I do, but I don’t talk to them really in person. Then next to me was a friend of my best friend, who I have only said like “Hey!” or other things along the lines of that to. At dinner I don’t really remember anyone eating anything and it ended very quickly. All of them celebrity’s took a group photo of all the kids and I tried to smile perfect for Vic Fuentes to see but I physically couldn’t change my smile from a ugly smile to a normal one no matter how hard I tried. After the photos all of them celebrities went to bed in my parents room, not in the same bed, and they all fell asleep. The group of children and me stayed up playing like card games and stuff in the living room until I look outside and I see the sky go from a very dark blue to almost a cyan but a little bit lighter. It is still a night sky with stars and no clouds. I point it out to everyone around us then we go into my backyard and just look at the sky, then suddenly weird things happen. There was a bright blue moon that did a few very quick circles around the moon and then they merged and same things with the stars in the sky accept it was little orange things merging with them. One of my brothers visits our house (He is moved out in person but he does visit often) and he sees all of them celebrities in my dads room and says “psh again” with a kinda smirky eye roll. I don’t remember how I got back outside but I did and we kept seeing the sky just do like weird things with bright colors and I remeber these like red dot tracker things to show my eyes where the colorful orb was going to merge. I go to my phone to see if any news stations or something are reporting on it but right after I type in my passcode, I wake up. What does this mean if anything, have any of you experienced similar dreams?

2024.11.27 19:31 Joking_J Nikon Z8 vs. Nikon Z6III
So I'm going to upgrade one of my two main work bodies (currently two Z6 IIs) to one of the above, and I'm racking my brain trying to decide. Cost isn't a huge factor (they ultimately pay for themselves), but there's also no need to get more camera/features than I'll actually use -- at least that's the responsible business decision, or so I tell myself.
In favor of the Z6III: I haven't had more than 24MP since the D810, and rarely do I want more. Scenarios I could imagine using 45MP for are for interiors (I shoot high-end cabinet installs for interior designers and sometimes the cabinet companies directly), the occasional landscape, and perhaps the ease of cropping into my 300mm F4 PF + 1.4TC for wildlife -- but clients almost never want more resolution, and landscape/wildlife falls decidedly outside of my professional work and into the hobby zone. So 24MP is still probably "fine" if not 100% ideal, because those really are edge cases. The AF seems more than up to the task (I already make do fine with the Z6 II the majority of the time), and the video options up to 6K seem ample (I've never had need for more than what my Z6 II can do in 4K out to an Atomos, though having better options for internal recording will be nice).
In favor of the Z8: I actually like the size/heft, and I miss the light-up buttons. I also like the 2-way tilt screen over the fully articulated screen; I'm never in front of the camera, so it's finicky for no reason in my case. Having 45MP is useful when it's useful, but as noted above it's not that often. That said, the slightly better dynamic range for pulling up shadows could be helpful for my interior work. Same goes for the 8K recording options -- nice to have I guess, but I probably won't use it, aside from having the benefit of the oversampled 4K derived from the 8K. The AF has the additional bird subject detection mode, which is nice, but again that would be relevant more for personal use rather than professional (assuming performance is more or less even between the Z8 and Z6 III in general). All that said, I tend to keep my cameras for quite a while (they're tools more than toys), and I can't see a reason why I'd ever need to upgrade from the Z8; it really does have everything, at least as far as my needs are concerned, so having a camera that stays with me for something like 10 years has real appeal.
So, other than price, do people have insights? Does the ability to crop into 45MP come in handy that often? Is there any notable difference in AF performance between the two? Is the DR hit to the Z6 III's partially-stacked sensor actually meaningful in daily use? Does anyone actually shoot 8K N-Raw for work? Or is it all moot and I should just get the Z6 III and save $1000?
