About two years ago I had a terrible initial outbreak after rough sex with my new partner. I got a swab test and tested positive for hsv. She’s took a blood test as well and had a pretty high anti body count for positive. Higher then mine. We assumed she had it before me and was asymptomatic since she was having no symptoms. The past two plus years we’ve been having unprotected sex, I’ve had outbreaks directly after sex, like sometimes instantly, but all this time and she still has zero signs. Is there a chance she still hasn’t caught it? She said she never had symptoms prior to our relationship too.

three days ago my grandfather passed away. i am 21 and this is the first time that i lose someone that is really close to me. i lost a friend back when i was 13 and it was hard, the first few days were rough but i did get through it. we’d known each other for several years, and we weren’t the kind of best inseparable friends, but still, it hurt. i also lost family members, mainly uncles and aunts of my parents, and it did hurt, but nothing compares to this.
i don’t think humankind is supposed to grasp the concept of death and eternity. i believe we can accept the first, after all acceptance is the final stage of grief, but understanding it seems difficult, nearly impossible. i know it’s only been a few days, and i’m supposed to be in the denial phase, but my god it’s hard. my grandpa was sick, then he got better, and then sick again, and this one was fatal. he died surrounded by my father, my aunt and my grandma. i know that he is finally at peace, but i can’t believe i will never see him again, i don’t want to accept that. i hadn’t seen him in almost a year, and i was planning on coming back home tomorrow to see him one last time, but fate decided otherwise.
my grandpa and i were really close, he was my best friend, i knew that i could always count on him to make me laugh, to cheer me up when i wasn’t feeling well, to join me in making fun of my grandma to annoy her. he was the best person i’ve known, he was good, he was generous, he was gentle. he suffered so much when he was sick, but he never complained, he stayed strong. everybody knew that, everybody loved him, and he will be missed, not just by his family, but by everybody, because wherever he went, he left the most amazing of impressions.
i’ve always been a secretive person, i don’t really like to talk about my issues. only a few of my closest friends know, i know the others will help me feel better, but as weird as it seems, i don’t want their pity. maybe telling some strangers will be different.
i’m sorry if this is messy, i just had to say what’s been weighing on me for these last couple days. i love you grandpa, i hope you’re at peace now, i hope you’re watching me and that i’ll make you proud. i miss you and i’ll always miss you

 | Tried it out last night for about 3 hours. Made a whole $35usd. My acceptance rate is now like 50% and I still ended up a 25 minute drive from home. The first order was 5ish miles drive away, then all the other orders kept taking me further and further 🤣 I did not expect to end up in another city! Also panic accepted a dumb order with no tips while I was driving cause I thought it was the 7-11 that I was literally passing, but it was actually one 6 miles away. Took pretty much the whole 3 hours to figure that app out. I'm not very impressed overall, but will try again now that I somewhat know how it works. Had to turn off the cash on delivery thing cause one of those popped up and I was like waaaaaaa why is that even a thing? The part I was most confused about... I thought there would be an interactive map that shows average pay for each zone and maybe peak hours. But no, there's literally no information unless you are actively dashing, and even then it's just the orders that get assigned to you. Not impressed. I noticed there's peak pay during rush hour, of a whole $1 per order. They want me to sit in traffic for 45 minutes for a dollar? WTAF. I’m a 37 year old woman in AZ, I’ve got kids a dog, a cat and a rocky relationship. I have zero friends and haven’t had any for about 6 years now. It hasn’t bothered me until recently. I would kill to have just one good friend. Someone to go out and do things together, hike, workout, grab lunch, do kid friendly activities etc. I’ve had my share of trauma in life and because of it I distract myself HEAVILY to avoid reality. It’s a problem and I know it. I am actively trying to work on it though because I know it’s unhealthy and I am not coping with anything. I’m afraid that if I stop to think and process my life that I will completely fall apart and I can’t afford to, I have young children who depend on me. I have a very hard time connecting with people and making friends. I’ve always had social anxiety. I don’t know what to do..I’m very unhappy and just want one or a few friends to make life less unbearable.

Hello pilots,
First a little background:
My father is older than some trees, but has had what he calls "The Bug" since he was a kid - flying is his sole focus in life. He is a former commercial pilot, and early adopter of both Hang Gliders and Paragliders as well as the owner and instructor of a paragliding school. In short, unless he is at altitude, he's not happy.
However, due to illness and funds, an airplane is no longer in the cards and earlier this year he had his first paraglider crash in over 50 years of being airborn. Now that he has a few new metal parts, climbing up and down hills to fly his glider is getting less fun for him and, frankly, it's bumming him out.
I suggested maybe he take up simulator flying and, while at first he was a bit skeptical, he's starting to warm up to the idea. have a pretty substantial flight/racing rig, but he is not really able to make the same sort of investments in the hobby.
How do I get him started for a reasonable price without setting him up with crappy equipment?
Is Xbox the cheapest path? What peripherals work well there?
My research has led me to this point:
1: an Xbox series X 2: Turtle Beach yoke (he flew Cessnas and similar professionally for decades as a tow pilot for a glider club so a GA style setup would be immediately familar)
3: Thrustmaster Pedals
4: MSFS 20 (and when it's in a better state, 24)
Am I missing anything? Is there a better path? Budget is under 2000 Canadian (~1400USD)
I want him to be able to get airborne even when the weather is bad or the titanium knee is misbehaving. I'm not sure how many years he has before it's off to the Great Taxiway In The Sky so I want these ones to have as much time above the clouds before that state becomes permanent.
Any input would be immensely helpful.
