all this week the volume has been slow since the building has been overstaffed early before black friday ,it was barely any work coming down i guess due to too much headcount and it had me nervous because of TOT/idle time , i never saw work being this slow to where its not enough work , they just started vto'ing alot of people last night and cancelled everybody's MET day this week , i don't know if it will pick up next week

2024.11.28 16:40 Patronus_Cat Akko Keyboard typing double
I bought a keyboard just over a year ago from Akko (Monsgeek MG108B) and since maybe half a year I've had real problems with double typing. Especially my N, B & T keys seem to be extremely sensitive. I have already tried
- New switches - New switches again - Change sensitivity in software (this lead to eventually multiple keys not registering at all and others still typing double) - New PCB (I just changed my pcb but the problem is still there)
Is there any other way to fix this issue or should I just give up and buy a new keyboard?

Was in hospital last night. Been struggling with quitting since the summer. In the fog of craving yesterday I DIY'd a bong with a dollar store metal straw and accidentally inhaled whatever shit was on that straw (likely metal fillings, toxic chemicals). My mouth, throat and lungs felt burnt all day, constant metallic taste and lung pain. Went to emerg and finally disclosed that the injury was due to THC use, stayed for 5 hours but left before I saw a doctor to exhaustion and shame. Still feeling shit in my mouth and lungs. Was already struggling for 8 weeks with a respiratory virus and can't believe my addictive parts are so strong that they did this to my lungs given how fucking toasted they already are. I finally admitted to my partner last night that I'm struggling to quit (he knew I was using, but not how much and how grossly). I feel like I hit rock bottom but I'm so scared these addictive parts of me will kill me.

2024.11.28 16:40 DMinTrainin New Build Options: i5 14th gen vs. 9600x
Last year I built a PC for my son (first time in more than a decade) and went with a 13th gen i5 and 4060 ti. It's perfect for the games he plays which has RT.
Now it's my turn, I'm trying to keep around $1400-1500. I also play RT games so am going with the 4070 ti Super (yes I know 50 series is coming out but I'm not dropping $2k on a 5090).
So, here are the two builds which are basically the same except for motherboard and CPU.
Open to suggstions but please, I'm sticking with Nvidia graphics so lets leave that aside :)
