There's nothing wrong with using weekly, monthly, daily or using once a [week/month/day]. For example using: To get booked into a daily service. We provide daily services. Services provided daily. Or: To get booked into a service once a week. We provide services once a week. The prefix "bi-" comes from the Latin "bis" meaning "twice". Substituting for "bi-" we have: bi-weekly = twice-weekly; bi-annually = twice annually. Time for all of the English gurus to get together and settle this once and for all! In English, bi-weekly can also mean two times in a week so it should be clarified depending on the context. And while a "quincena" is purported to have 15 days, the word "fortnight" is what is shown to be used as a literary equivalent in English in several dictionaries. Regarding quadweekly and quadriweekly, I like quatriweekly or quatri-weekly better. Quadroon and quadrant, for example, use quadr-as one-fourth, while quatrain uses quatr-as four; but the roots of all of them are closely related to words meaning four. I suppose it was just that people started using them both ways until each method developed its own purchase. But the OED does comment: bi-weekly adj. (b) Occurring or appearing twice in a ——; as in (The ambiguous usage is confusing, and might be avoided by the use of semi-; e.g. semi-monthly, semi-weekly; cf. half-yearly adj.) – "Hourly," "daily," "monthly," "weekly," and "yearly" suggest a consistent approach to creating adverbial forms of time measurements, but the form breaks down both in smaller time units ("secondly," "minutely"—perhaps because of the danger of confusion with other meanings of those words) and in larger ones ("decadely," "centurily," "millenniumly"—perhaps because until recently events ... It's a great word. Besides the ambiguity of the words "bi-weekly" or "bi-monthly," I think that they are esthetically ugly and artificial words that detract from the English language. I like to keep my Latin and Germanic mixing to a minimum. Try "twice weekly," if "fortnightly" doesn't do it for you. Thanks jwpat7, the fact is I'd vote up your answer. One word appearing in two different questions don't make it duplicates. While one question could be about what does bi- stand for, my question is what better one word is there for 6 months like daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly. My guess it there might be one that I don't know of. Possible Duplicate: Are there any words I can use to disambiguate “biweekly”? Is there a term two designate a frequency of "every two weeks", like "weekly" for "every week".

Many oils are known to have strong laxative effect when consumed as is. There's talk about it lubricating the gut and all.
But people commonly consume manyfold the amount of fat in the form of salad dressings, fried foods, yogurt, milk and many other things, and don't experience those issues.
What is the reason?

Ho rifatto il post perché l'altro era un po' troppo lungo e disordinato.
Nel novembre 2017 ho cambiato operatore da TIM a Vodafone per la mia linea fissa (anche con cambio intestatario). La mia prima fattura Vodafone copre il periodo novembre 2017 - gennaio 2018, ma TIM ha emesso una fattura successiva per il periodo dicembre 2017 - febbraio 2018, creando una doppia fatturazione per lo stesso servizio e periodo.
Nel 2018, ho inviato a TIM un fax con documentazione che dimostra il cambio operatore e la doppia fatturazione, ma mi è stato risposto che la fattura era corretta. Ho quindi deciso di non pagare anche perché gli operatori telefonici del callcenter continuavano a rimbalzarmi l'uno con l'altro.
Ora, nel 2024, ho ricevuto due lettere ordinarie da società di recupero crediti che mi intimano di pagare l'importo di circa 90 € (più spese, per un totale di circa 105 €) relativo alla fattura TIM sopra descritta. Non ho mai ricevuto raccomandate, solo queste due lettere ordinarie.
A prescindere dalla questione della prescrizione, la doppia fatturazione è documentata e chiaramente visibile, e questo mi fa arrabbiare quando leggo la loro richiesta di pagamento (tra l'altro dopo oltre un decennio di fatture regolarmente pagate… scusate lo sfogo).
Mi chiedo:

Grazie a chiunque possa aiutarmi a gestire questa situazione al meglio.
