I like anime. A few of my favorites include: Soul Eater, My Hero, Noragami, Given, No game no life,etc.(genres vary). I have been using plex for about a year, have a DIY Nas with a raid5 36TB config. Internally the NAS is hooked up to a 2.5GB NIC to a router with a dedicated wifi6 ap. External internet speeds are 5GB up and down. Hardware is a 5600x cpu and a 3060ti gpu
I mostly use plex on my TVs (wifi) and often have 2 streams going at once (kids tv and wife and I will watch someone on our tv) my long term goal was to create a safe, age appropriate library of shows and movies for my young children to watch without having me find something every time, or be worried what they found.
So far, all goals are met.
But everyone says get plex pass, so I looked into buying it. I haven't used plex outside of the home, I usually drive myself somewhere, so dont have time using it on a bus/plane/car.
I know that hardware transcoding is good for plex pass, but pretty sure that wont effect the AMD cpu, but maybe the nvidia gpu could be used? Also, not exactly sure transcoding would benefit my setup.
Sell me on buying it, I hope I gave enough info to allow for good answers.
