I've been using the starter one. It takes seconds to find most artifacts and hadn't thought to upgrade.
But now that I'm on the hunt for Thunderberry and Liquid Rock, hours spent scumming, I wonder if using a different scanner will objectively improve my odds.
Do we know for sure? Thanks

Hello all. I was playing today and for no reason what so ever, my comms won't work. I checked to see if I was connected and I was. I even disconnected and reconnected several times, and nothing. On occasion I will hear someone in proximity chat, but I can't hear or talk to my team. Is this a bug? Any other way of fixing this?

I really love the conceit that The Silmarillion draws from many different fictional sources across Arda. Obviously this is reminiscent of real-life mythological texts like Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda and Apollodorous' Bibliotheca, which similarly draw upon a vast amount of mythic sources and texts in order to create a condensed account of their respective mythologies. Tolkien really adds to the historicity of his own corpus by tapping into the same idea. Having said all that, what are all the fictional sources that Tolkien gives for The Silmarillion? I'll list all the ones that I know of, but please let me know if I leave any out (I think that is likely, lol).
- "Annals of Aman" (RĂșmil of Tirion's history of Aman provides much of the material for the "Valinor" section of The Silmarillion).
- "AldudĂ©niĂ«" (A lament composed by ElemmĂrĂ« of the Vanyar, which is a big source used for the "Darkening of Valinor" chapter, probably along with RĂșmil's annals).
- "NoldolantĂ«" (A lament composed by Maglor that provides much of the material used for the "Flight of the Noldor" chapter, also along with RĂșmil's annals).
- "Grey Annals" (Pengolodh of Gondolin wrote a detailed history of the Eldar in Beleriand while in Gondolin, and this was the primary source used for all the "Beleriand" chapters of The Silmarillion).
- The three "Great Tales" were written down in NĂșmenor in a great masterwork titled the "AtanatĂĄrion", and this was also preserved in Gondor. I'm not certain if this was used as a direct source for The Silmarillion, but it feels possible.
- "The Lay of Leithian" (the primary source for the "Beren and LĂșthien" chapter of The Silmarillion, possibly along with Pengolodh's annals and the AtanatĂĄrion).
- "Narn i ChĂźn HĂșrin" (composed by the Mannish poet DĂrhaval of the House of Hador, this would be the primary source for the "Of TĂșrin Turambar chapter", in addition to parts of the "Grey Annals" and possibly the AtanatĂĄrion.
- I'm uncertain where "The Wanderings of HĂșrin" fits into this. It's possibly part of the "Narn", in which case it was written by DĂrhaval. Or perhaps it was recorded in the "AtanatĂĄrion."
- "Narn e·Dant Gondolin ar Orthad en·Ăl" (titled "The Tale of the Fall of Gondolin and the Raising of the Star", this is the primary source for both "The Fall of Gondolin" and "Of the Voyage of EĂ€rendil" chapters from The Silmarillion).
- "The Lay of EĂ€rendil" is probably what lies behind the "Narn" version cited above. It was also a likely source for the final chapter in The Silmarillion.

This started after a doc gave me laser therapy vaginally to treat a 3 month old nonresponsive vaginitis accompanied by discharge and itching. When this happened I have a serious discharge than wake up to a severly dry white vaginal tissue and excrutiating pain. At first times, one day I turn out to have excessive disharge and the other day desert dry tissue, like egzama. After a while it start to stay still for months then shed. For a couple of days later it starts again. In the time of 1.5 year it is slowly getting less severe. For the last 3 months I figure out a certain brand of probiotics daily prevented it. It only happen very thin layer sometimes like once in a month maybe for 2 days. I believe I will be okay in time but last 2 weeks it started to get severe again. Nobody knows what it is and I am having hard time to live with all the pain. I am on fluconazole for 7 months because also got candida and now I am clean in cultures and pcr. I had tried estrogen for months which helped in the beginning for shedding the dry tissue but after a while made things worse. I have tried steroid creams both potent and not but someday they shed the tissue in 1 hour sometimes never worked. Everything I try is working unstable. Now the probiotic which helped for months start not to work either. I gave lots of tests, autoimmune panels, tuberculosis, ct scans, biopsies, cultures, pcr tests, shutgun metegnomic test, brucellosis, toxoplasmosis etc I only have slightly elevated igE that is all. Everything is clean. My ph is 4-5. Please help me I can't bear living like this with constant pain and stabbing.ANY IDEA?
