To all Meidas Mighties and anti-Trump people, I think you guys should know what's we're up against for the next four years:
Trump has picked some Project 2025 Authors like Russ Vought and Tom Homan but don't forget, he has ALSO picked Brooke Rollins and Linda McMahon of the AFPI.
For those who don't know the AFPI, it's Trump's personal think tank and the Heritage Foundation's rival. They also have their own policy proposals for Trump: the America First Transitional Project, which is basically the AFPI's bastardized and way more dangerous version of Project 2025. While the AFTP has shorter pages than Project 2025 and does NOT mention about national abortion bans on a federal level, destroying the DOJ's independence, and restricting or banning sexual content in all platforms (as reported by The Young Turks), it DOES, however, adapt some of Project 2025's policies. Some of these policies are:
- Defunding planned parenthood and anything related to abortion healthcare.
- Easing gun control, which likewise cause more gun violence.
- Ditching climate change policies.
- Increased fossil fuel, oil, and gas production.
- More regulations and requirements on Medicaid.
- Going after LGBTQ+ rights.
- Resuming trade wars with China, this time with Mexico and Canada involved.
- And of course, resuming the infamous Schedule F.
Acoording to Puck News (and reported by Farron Cousins), Tina Nguyen, also known as "the MAGA whisperer", was told by Trump's closest aides that he won't go through with Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 (or at very least, not all of them), but he WILL implement the AFPI one.
Tina said this in one of her social media posts on X, and she's mincing words about it:
*"Everyone thinks Project 2025 is the playbook of Trump’s next act. Reasonable, considering the August Heritage Foundation got every other conservative think tank to participate. Except one: the America First Policy Institute.
AFPI was founded barely 4 years ago by several former Trump officials and Cabinet members. Their goal: establish the MAGA version of the Heritage Foundation to preserve Trump’s legacy. And within months of rejecting the Project, they launched their OWN transition project: handbooks, job portals, training sessions, etc.
If you asked anyone at the time, the difference between the two boiled down to this: Project 2025 was designed for any GOP president. The AFPI Transition Project was designed for one: Trump. I wrote about the brewing Cold War between these two last year.
So what does the next Trump admin look like, and who’s in it? As that source told me, Trump was burned last time by rogue staffers and career officials. This time, “[he] wants people whose only mantra is: Whatever the president wants, we’re gonna do."*
In other words, the AFPI's version of Project 2025 is designed to undo ALL of Obama and Biden's legacies and establish Trumpism as the new law of the land.
Remember, the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 is for ANY Republican president, while the AFPI's version of Project 2025 is only for Trump. Tina said that Trump would (probably) ignore the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 in favor of the AFPI one due to the former's donor-like structure.
What makes the AFPI more dangerous than the Heritage Foundation is they're very pragmatic and cunning. They were able to evade the same public scrutiny the Heritage Foundation got from the Democrats, Liberals, and Anti-Trump Americans by simpling laying low. They also have more influence than the Heritage Foundation in shaping Trump's second term.
Make no mistake, Trump will use some of Project 2025's policies, mainly for his mass deportation and ACA gutting plans, and the AFPI version for the rest. If Trump is not stopped in the next four years, JD Vance will become the next POTUS without much trouble and finish the job in bringing Trump's agendas into fruition.
That's all I know. If you're reading this, you better inform all indie news media, including MeidasTouch about what I've mentioned above. This is equally important.

Before we lived together my cat has lived with a couple other male cats, a couple of dogs, and a rabbit, and has either been good friends with or indifferent to all, with no issues. When my current roommate and I moved in together, my male cat and her female cat took quite some time to get used to each other, and six years later they still have a contentious relationship. Mostly, she is the aggressor. They don’t have any serious altercations and sometimes play fight, but she often slaps his face and they aren’t affectionate. We’d like to introduce a kitten to the house. Would a male or female kitten be better?

Ive been renting from my landlord since August 2023 (a little over a year now) . Pretty nice guy but he has no other income besides the 3 units in the home. Its a completely private renting , no contract or written agreement. Since i moved in there was a slight musty smell in the common entrance which i assumed came from the basement which the basement door is always open. I didnt budge on the smell because its $900/month and looks better than the $1,200/month in the area , caught a fairly good deal .
After a few months of being here i noticed the walls would buildup moisture in the common entrance hallway of the home . Now and then he has someone wipe them down and touch up paint (slumlord special). There was an instance when my bathtub leaked into the hall and he had to fix it (took over a month for him just to come look at it which upset me alot because mold was growing). The leak was none of my fault , it was all from underneath from the pipes. For a moment i thought the bathtub leak caused all the moisture but after the fix , the moisture would continue to build up as it is as of right now.
Right now, the paint is discolored from an egg shell white to a grayish color with moisture dripping . Some of the walls have pilled off and exposed the brick. Upon returning from an overseas vacation last week, i noticed most of all my goods within my cabinets have gotten exposed by moisture (the seasoning have turned to rocks) and my apartment smells of a musty smell which i havent noticed before inside my apartment.
I would simply like some advice on how to address my landlord and if he does not agree to properly address the moisture instead of little fixes , what can i do to give him the "push" . I just lost my job and im living on unemployment so i dont have many options to move and i love this place and its price so i genuinely would prefer to stay. I also thought about buying a dehumidifier and taking the quick loss for better luxury but money is low . I also dont know the full extent of my legal rights as i dont have a rental agreement. This is obviously a burden and health risk issue . Any advice would be amazing
P.S. : My landlord is nearly deaf so i cant discuss over the phone , he barely hears me in person . He barely answers texts and lives over an hour away so he barely comes by even when there is an issue . And im unemployed and low on funds so i dont have many options at this moment .

So, I've been looking into paths to permanent residence in Australia and I know my options are VERY limited bc I don't have a college degree, but here's what I've come up with so far.
I have 3 years of experience as an admin assistant, so im planning to find sponsorship as a personal assistant. First, I'll head over on a Work and Holiday visa for a year and spend that time doing temp admin work. Then, I'll apply to stay another year on a study visa and get a diploma in Business Administration. I'm hoping by then, I'll have networked enough to find an employer to sponsor me on the 494 visa.
How does this plan sound?
