I'm having an absolutely incredulous and rageful day brought on by a frustrating week and an extra super frustrating yesterday. (Long, but I swear it's been even more wild than this, this was the briefest I could make it and I cut out lots of the absolutely buck fucking wild shit that's gone down the past 7 days)
- How can people exist who know so little about anything- including what they proclaim to be their passions and stuff they repeatedly say they're knowledgeable in? And how can those people be so incredibly uncurious and disinterested in learning anything new- even in the topic they are "so passionate" about?!? We have a guest who claims they know a ton about X topic as it relates to where they grew up. My mom lived there for several years and both her and I know a little about X, so we asked guest prudent and genuine questions so we could hear about their interests. They literally don't know anything? Every question was met with "I don't know," every "what do you think of -common topic of conversation around X-?" was met with "I've never even heard of that?" And that's their PASSION?! Bro...
- How can people be so bad at solving simple problems and following simple instructions? They couldnt figure out how to get water from our fridge dispenser, they kept pressing one button over and over like it was a touch screen, and not ever pressing the giant contrasting button to pour. They literally texted me panicked asking for help from one room over.
- How can people be that bad at knowledge retention/learning/interest in either, problem solving, instruction following, (and also have extreme disorganization and no sense of time- with combined total confusion when people have to leave without them cause they missed the scheduled time)- and have lots of scholarships and grants to a good school, and even get paid to be a public speaker and educator on X topic????
- and how, with all that, is it that I'M the one who can't get hired anywhere but for manual labor or customer service jobs, can't keep a job once I get one, was frequently called stupid and useless and my parents were told I would "amount to nothing in life" by my elementary school teachers (despite reading at a collegiate level with excellent comprehension by like 2nd or 3rd grade). Haven't ever qualified for grants, scholarships, etc...
- Yesterday I had an appointment with the psych I have to get my prescriptions from now (insurance bs, I used to go to a major autism expert who was so nice too...), and I already didn't like her for several reasons, but yesterday was the final goddamned straw and I'm working on reporting her to the organization she works for...
First she greeted me with "oh, are you sick?" cause I was wearing a mask (which I do every time), I was all "no? But I don't want to be??" to which she looked confused. Then she asked how I was feeling emotionally. I said not great, but I do think we're at the right med dosage, just externally caused angst, once again a confused look, so I said "idk if you've noticed, but the world is kind of on fire?" Then she said "oh yeah, the fires," and then moved on to "but at least in the USA us women (yay misgendering) aren't forced to wear burkas (yay Islamophobia)." I just stared at her like she's fucking stupid, cause she obviously is. Then she went "but what about you and your goals? Don't you want to get married and have kids?"
What the actual fuck??? I somehow held it together friendly through the rest of the appointment but I've called the organization's Grievances Manager and will be reporting and demanding they find me someone with some goddamned sense and respect, even if they don't have anyone with LGBT+ and autism experience. And I for damn sure am going to go full Karen about it (I love being able to copy behaviors 😂) and threaten the L word. (Lesbians? No, Lawsuit)
- Which brings me to, how the hell am I the one of the two of us that's considered crazy and not functional or appropriate for society?! Whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck???
This really is the bad place...

So my husband and I recently landed in Vietnam, typically we always either rent a motto or if we visit family use one of theirs.
My family and everyone one the street I talk to say the police are really going after drivers with crazy ridiculous fines that are even more than most average Viet person makes a month.
Is it as bad as my family is saying? I mean there are billions of motto bikes out there and you hardly see cops around like you do in America.

I am currently saving up to get a 43 engine mercedes. I plan on keeping the car no longer than 3 years and probably moving to a 63. My only issues are deciding between the c43 or e43. If i choose the c43 it has to be post face lift so that it has the interior that i desire. Aside from that i love the new tailights and actually prefer ambient lighting of this car. While the e43 has a nice interior and better ride quality. The cars are around the same price and mileage. What would you choose in your opinion?
I currently drive an e90 328xi bmw on coilovers so even the ride quality of a c43 is an upgrade to me. I’m thinking C43 as it would be more reliable due to a lack of air suspension and it being 2-3 years newer meaning less wear on rubber components and seals.

I am experiencing an issue with my brand new Everdrive N8 Pro when using it with my Retron HD console. When I boot up the console with the cartridge inserted, I get a blue screen. If I reboot, I either see a black screen or a full screen of the letter "A." repeating Is my N8 Pro defective, or could the problem be with my console?

2025.01.18 01:41 Charming-Bike-427 Caught my younger brother in my room
He doesn’t go in my room unless im there from what I used to assume. One time he evened called me to ask to let my cat in my room when I was gone which now I think was a lie.
Also our rooms are set like this. Imagine the brackets are doors [][]. My room is at the end and I need to walk through his to get to mine. It’s been that way since we were little kids and he’s an older teen and I’m an adult.
Today I caught him in my room by my dresser when I came back from my shower. I just stood in shock. He didn’t say anything just left my room saying our cats name all confused when I saw her in her cat tree laying and he never goes looking for her to begin with. I didn’t say anything except she’s in her cat tree all nicely because I was in so much shock it was funny.
I know he was looking for my vape and it actually smelt like a vape when I came back. I keep mine on me but I am afraid to throw old ones away so I keep them in a drawer. He definitely was hitting my nasty burnt vapes.
My mom just busted him for drugs so he got everything taken and now my mom is making him FaceTime her everytime he spends money and watches how much money goes in. So he has been really feening for vapes. I was letting him hit mine once in a while because I know how annoying withdrawals can be especially with the irritability.
I’m just so annoyed. I just got comfortable leaving my journals out after years of issues from my mom going through my room as a teen. Now my younger brother is going through my room.
Oh funny part. My brother wouldn’t have been caught if he just cleaned his own room.
My mom is getting me a lock box for my weed stuff because he probably has been using that too. I’ll figure out a way to throw away all the old vapes. I’m going to keep my journals in the box for peace of mind too.
I just really can’t believe this. Like I thought I was paranoid in the past for thinking he was going through my things so I got over it.
In the meantime, I’m out right now so I put my dildo over the bag that has all the vapes and put my weed stuff in with it. If he does something he’ll have to live with the knowledge that he would move my dildo to take a hit of a vape or weed.
