 | Hi, I’m looking for some advice. I bought a set of EMG pickups with quick-connect cables, but didn’t get the pre-wired control plate version because it was more expensive. The manual isn’t very helpful since it seems to be for the pre-wired version. I’ve also checked YouTube, but the videos are all for the pre-wired control plate model, so I’m a bit stuck. Has anyone wired this up before? Specifically, I’m having trouble figuring out the connections for the volume and tone pots—what should connect there? And need help with the rest of it to be honest, have tried but not doing great! If you see something wrong please point it out! I’m pretty new to this, and I’ve included some pictures, but I’m not sure where most of the wires go or what some of them are for. Any help would be really appreciated! My English is very bad, so I will try to explain it. I'm 27 years old, I will be 28 this year and the truth is that I feel that the cards of the universe aren't playing in my favor for a long time.
I haven't graduated from college yet so I still have to live with my parents because my class schedule doesn't allow me to look for a job and become independent and it's getting harder and harder, my relationship with my family is getting worse and worse and it's all due to one reason: religion. My family is extremely Christian and although I'm Christian I'm not that religious, but the problem is that because of that they see me as the black sheep, the problem, the sinner, the bad influence and honestly I am tired, besides the bad treatment they give me, I am tired of not being able to be me.
My dream would be to be able to live the way I want, to be able to come out of the closet (I'm bisexual), to be able to get a tattoo, wear whatever I want and not do anything without thinking "bitch, if my mom or my uncles or my dad find out, they'll kill me". Thanks to all this I suffer from depression and anxiety, I was diagnosed in 2019 and I was medicated but the system in my country is bad (I'm not from USA just to be clear) and I've been 4 years without getting an appointment with a psychologist or a psychiatrist, I have been surviving for 4 years without medication or therapy.
The fact that I'm almost 28 years old and have fallen so far behind with my studies because of my mental problems has made me feel FOMO because I don't live alone and I don't have money to do anything I want, I can only continue being locked up at home becoming a fucking pig and for that reason my friends have moved away, I don't have money to go out so they don't take me into account anymore. And on top of all this I can't maintain personal relationships (boyfriend or girlfriend) because I'm not physically attractive, my parents never made an effort to give me minimal social skills and I have several traumas because during my adolescence there were men who did things without my consent (my mother knows and she never cared).
Every day I feel so suffocated and I feel like I just can't take it anymore, I don't know if at this rate I will end up alone and bitter or if maybe in a fit of madness I will end up unsubscribing from life If you know what I mean.

A long time ago right after high school, I worked as a teller at a bank. One of the things we did was make payments on loans and things like that.
One day an older lady walks in, immediately I can tell she’s very wealthy. Not just by her jewelry, but the way she is dressed & not to mention to find her loan I had to look up her account information.
She was there to pay off a small loan all in cash. She handed me an envelope and let me count it. I got towards the end and realized there was 5 extra $20s. She asked me if it was correct and I told her it was, discretely slipped the extra behind a nook, and shoved it in my pocket once she had left.
I’ve never told anyone to this day and still feel guilty about it when I remember. At the time I could say I really needed the money and justified it by telling myself it wouldn’t be missed and, truthfully, it probably never was.

 | **tried to edit my first post and it wouldn’t let me, but re-posting here I just wanted to say thank you to Mitch and all the MODs for a dinner experience I won’t stop thinking about any time soon. Being at Kyōten on Wednesday as part of the Reddit dinner was nothing short of sublime. From the moment I walked in I felt taken care of, like I was at an old friend’s home. An old friend that puts together the most mind-blowing (some simple, some complex) fish combinations I’ve had. I’ve been fortunate to dine at some great restaurants across the city and country and dinner from Chef Otto ranks among the top I’ve ever been fortunate enough to be a part of. Even after 16? (I lost count) courses I didn’t want the meal to end. That’s not to say I left hungry either, because I didn’t. Some highlights were the Monkfish liver (better than any fois gras I’ve had), tuna, out of this world (uni), and two desserts that were the perfect ending. One, the tamago (hope I have that spelling right), is made with midwestern corn, egg, and maple syrup. The sake pairings matched the dishes perfectly and I thought they did an especially nice job curating that selection too. I could keep going for pages and pages. I ate at Maxwell’s Trading for a delicious meal last night and regrettably ordered the tuna tartare. It was delicious—but in my mind I don’t know that tuna will ever be prepared as well as I had it at Kyōten. Chef Otto and his co-captain if you will, José, showed us a fun-filled, educational, relaxed evening. I hope to be back in his kitchen soon.
